Wait a minute, this is the second time I've read about politicians gambling at state meetings, is this really real? If yes, which country is that and any proof whatsoever? True/false information and rumours travel so fast and they do not necessarily reflect the truth but notwithstanding will continue to travel. This is not to support any politician but to establish the truth, doing that at a state meeting is an allegation made too far and I won't be one of the people with weak minds who will gullibly believe that. Politicians are human beings too, they are free to gamble, but in the right place and atmosphere. It may even be after the meeting at their relaxing moments, they are also free at that time.

Probably all these questions strongly depend on the general educational level of the population of the country. But we still have to take into account that in other countries and communities gambling is a part of the national culture and traditions and their direct or indirect prohibitions go against these traditions. And in this case, politicians and legislators should simply somehow minimize these gambling games and in every possible way soften the consequences for the population. I don't know how you guys connected this topic in a political point of view, but yeah, ALL politicians are selfish. They ran and secure themselves in the office for their own gain. Though, some may not be too obvious because they are doing their job well.
Gambling is one of the few vices that could potentially destroy one's life, career, and even family, but government had a hard time controlling it because it generates huge revenues. That means, huge pocket for the politicians too. So, educating gamblers like these kind of parades won't have any significant results in my opinion.

Yeah that is what we see so far and not many of them can realize how big their responsibilities with their position and remember what is their promise to their citizens. We can see many politicians also playing slot gambling although they can deny or hide their gambling activity from public. But we can still know and see what they doing when they are not in their office or even they play during state meetings. I align with you on the first point, gambling is very risky and politicians are not immune to the risk, so they can lose bitterly like any of us. Sorry but I might not completely agree with you unless you prove other wise., it is wrong to say that politicians can enrich themselves through gambling, if winning in gambling was that easy, I guess that several of us who are gamblers will be multi millionares by now.
And I can't even wrap my head around what you said that politicians openly play slot games during state meetings, I don't know which country you are posting from but on my own side, I never see such a thing with the government officials In my country.

And let me say that them banning something or an activity and them still getting involved in that activity that was banned is nothing new actually, I remember when X was banned by the president of my country, several governments officials were caught using VPN to access X, if this also happens in gambling, it's nothing to be surprised about.

I think gambling is a way of life and no one should have dispute with other people because they are gamblers.
Gambling is like an exercise to the rich and politicians because they see as a means of fun and trying to know how luck works with different people. The average men would have not option than to gamble for the profits they could earn after consecutive trying to make something reasonable. It is a good opinion for us to keep trying our best to learn and get a skill about gambling so we don't have to be complaining everytime of loses always.

All this can be partly explained by the fact that people with certain human qualities go into politics. Those modern politicians is busy to make them rich by doing many illegal things and don't care with their responsibility when they are in the government position.
