Smartphone really helps the growth bitcoin, because we can see that there is a smartphone everywhere. and with that people can easily access the bitcoin if there is internet connection. You can also have a confirmation easily and fast. and you do not have to wait to be at your desktop to have the sell/buy of items via bitcoins.

It is true that smartphones gradually changed the living of middle and upper class people, but doing all the transactions with only smartphones is far to reality. Even using crypto currencies, you can't get confirmations that fast and could not complete the trade. But trading had become more easy and user friendly with smartphones.
LOL, whether you're using smartphone or computer for your transactions, it's obvious that this thing have nothing to do with the speed of confirmation to be arrived for your transaction, therefore, your statement is invalid.
Just what I'm thinking is that using smartphone is kinda complicated and really stressful compared to when you're making a transaction using computer, just didn't really think of using smartphone for everything in my life.

Yep honestly the mobile app version of their Bitcoin Wallets is the one that really makes Bitcoin usage more practical compared to its desktop website. After all Smart Phone Bitcoin Wallet apps also has the the added picture of scanning the QR code of the Bitcoin address making it easier to pay without typing or copying the Bitcoin address (making you have a less chance of sending it to another by mistake). Also I think all of the cellphone holders now use smartphone as a lot of Chinese brands are having better technology yet cheaper priced products that are available through out the world.
In addition to these features, the handset offers you the convenience of anytime and anywhere, and it is also capable of maintaining your security, the phone is yours, if you are a caretaker. No kidney, no hacker has the ability to penetrate and rob your money. It is almost absolutely safe. However, besides the convenience, the smartphone still has an inconvenience, we can not perform the operation as quickly and easily as when we use the computer.

More and more people are using smartphones thanks to budget friendly mid-rangers, almost anyone can now afford to buy a smartphone.

Mobile payment is becoming more common and it is an opportunity to acquaint people more into using bitcoin . Mobile payment will eventually replace credit cards or at least will make them less mainstream. An example  of this is Apple Pay. Bitcoin smartphone wallet  apps are to use when you have a transaction, you just scan a qr code and the transaction is done though will take some time to be confirmed.

I definitely agree with you. There are more and more people making payments via their smartphones, I personally use google wallet and use my fingerprint to authorise payments. It is really simple and hassle-free. I personally don't use Bitcoin this way as it is more of an investment for me, but a lot of other do and it has surely had a large impact on the growth of Bitcoin.

I do agree. Thanks to those who are selling smart phones at a lower price so that even those in rural places can afford even just one for the whole household.
It will still depend on the companies if they want their transactions be connected in one website wallet.
Philippines Coins.ph have made that possible for us. We can pay bills and other stuff like prepaid loading with their help. Their application gives comfort to those who dont have computers. This kind od service should be with all the website wallets if they want to make their companies popular. Easy to use and it is fast without a hassle in waiting for the line while paying.

It is vital. It will be a big impact to the bitcoin world.
As of now I am just using my mobile phone when doing transactions.
Good part is it is  convenient. Wont need to go to the electric company just to pay my bills.
I will just use my phone with an internet and  Voila I can pay fast.
Website wallets are also creating their application so that people could just use their smart phones to trade bitcoin to USD or vice versa.

The world is gradually turning into a digital world and the majority of the teeming worldwide population especially the youth just want to do basically everything via mobile and the smart phone producers understand this. I begin to wonder when I see a smart phone having the capacity of a personal computer. It really means any business that wants to browse needs to go digital and that's what bitcoin service providers are really tapping into.

Yes, there are chanses that mobile payment will still develope because people always wear smartphone everywhere and it's more easy to pay with it. For example we can take foldapp. You need to download that app on your mobile and you can pay for starbucks coffee or etc things instantly which is very useful, especially for bitcoin users.

Smartphone is really a great tool to spread the awareness of online payments and you are right most people now could able to afford smartphone without costing a leg since they are just cheap.Online payments are the most convenient ones specially when it would be done on our smartphone but bitcoin would really take long to be considered on most people throughout the world because traditional e-payments will be used first than bitcoin transactions payments.

I think mobile traffic in general is a huge market and a vital point for many businesses and BTC isn't an exception,of course it's not that easy to buy BTC mobile but you can make transactions easy and that's why optimization plays a huge role

I would agree.

But not just smartphones, but phones in general.

People, are able to use even non-smartphones in rural areas because they don't have internet access. They can send a text message to a service that allows them to do bitcoin transactions without internet access, and then the service provider sends the bitcoin for them.

Phones are just so much more portable now than laptops or PCs.
Even the people in rural places are having a successful growth and most of the rural places here in our country (for example) aree having an internet access and they can afford more than their past lifestyle. I think this is a good sign that they also use bitcoin even they are in the rural places. They just need internet access which they have an average smartphone to be able to do transactions.

Many people in poor countries cant afford to buy expensive PC's or laptops
That's why some of those people uses smartphones for their bitcoin transactions to send and receive payment cause it very affordable and can easily access internet that you can bring anywhere.

except that Apple Pay doesn't cost you $1 every time you use it and doesn't take 10+ minutes (or possibly hours) for your payment to process.... what merchant is going to let you walk out of a shop with $20 worth of goods hoping the payment will go through sometime in the next hour or so?

On the other hand, Apple Pay is also centralised and doesn't provide even pseudo anonymity.

Bitcoin is fast moving away from being a viable solution for every day payments toward being useful only as a method of storing wealth. It is likely to get even further away in the future as block rewards get halved and transaction fees increase even more.

The days of shifting bitcoins around for pennies are long gone... unless you want to wait.

when segwit will be activated and LN used, you will havenot to pay anymore so much and merchants will not have to wait for confirmations

don't compare a finished system of payment with an experimental one, which still need to grow, also any centralized system can't be compared to bitcoin

i would be glad to pay a little more to have my decentralization, which i find more important than anything else

Mobile payments are becoming more popular, that is true, and I'm sure that there is a place for bitcoins also. Mobile wallets are very handy and convenient but there is still the problem with number of merchants that accept bitcoins that are not so easy to find so for now bitcoin debit card stays the most reliable way you can spend your coins.

It's a good idea though. People around the world always have a smartphone and if bitcoin upgrade their wallet for mobile, i'm sure many people will start using mobile payment. So they don't need to bring their wallet to pay. Actually mobile payment is really good inovation though, everyear our technology always update and upgrade and mobile payment is really suit on that.
