So if he wants to make $$$ we can chat, and if it all goes through he can buy the BTC himself :p

I think you're better off just checking Craigslist Big Island properties/homes for sale.

Yeah I understand his intentions... but lets not kid ourselves.. its not like this is going to be $200 or $2000 or $20,000....

If I was to go back I would never stay in Waikiki.

Well have fun saving up thousands of dollars then because that's how much its gonna cost for travel to and lodging in any of the other islands. There are a few quaint 2-star hotels on Kauai, but Maui and the Big Island (Kona coast mainly... opposite side of island of Smoothie's property) have become refuges for the filthy rich. No aloha for you unless you spend $300+ a night for a hotel room.

Lastly, I wouldn't be paying for a property in BTC or any currency other than USD..

I think you're missing the point of his offering / exercise.

Hey Smoothie.

I wrote a lengthy reply asking a few questions then forum went down 30 mins ago.
Good to see the site is as unreliable as it was 6 months ago.
Wonder where all the donation $$ goes.

Anyways I own a few properties here in Aus.. possibly interested in this. Need to find out if Aus citizen can even buy in US, if not we have a way around that.
We just came back from a 3 week holiday to US, last stop was Hawaii for a week
Stayed in waikiki and it was like QLD here in AUS.. Once we drove up the coast going east then up to the north shore we loved it. Felt like we were in a diff country. Very tropical Smiley
If I was to go back I would never stay in Waikiki.

Have a few plans in mind for a property in Hawaii... Havn't found one yet, not really looking but this has sparked my interest.

If you are serious please PM me the town your house is in, or atleast a 5km radius... Preferabbly the street.. Don't need the house number, at this early stage.
Also please include how much you are looking to get money wise. Any other info you feel relevant please include Smiley No point wasting my time or yours.

Lastly, I wouldn't be paying for a property in BTC or any currency other than USD.. but you can take the money and convert to BTC, PPC, LTC or spend it at KFC Smiley

Any info you give me I will keep confidential and not post in the thread or mention to anyone, other than my fiancee (however its spelt)
If you prefer you can email me... as we all know how private the PMs are :/

Thanks and hope you are serious and to hear from you soon.

I knew a superbly talented chick from Keeau who was cute as a button... Moved to Oahu to become a rapper, wonder whatever happened to her...

Anyway, relevancy... yeah for someone who is looking to escape from most literally everything, this is some good, cheap real estate. North of the lava flows. Just be pono with your neighbors and da aina.

Is the deal closed?  Grin

No deal has been made yet.

I'm waiting on the list of comps from my realtor to gauge an accurate asking price.

Smoothie if you can privately pm me your asking price in btc for the property, i am highly interested depending on the price

I will be publicly posting the price soon.

Is it easy for someone from the UK to live there and get into the system?

Not sure what you mean by "easy".

I'm sure there is more paperwork than if you were a US citizen. But then again I've never sold real estate to a foreigner.

I have no bias one way or the other. As long as the payment and terms are fulfilled by both parties.

Out of curiosity, did you buy this property from some kind of foreclosure sale (or via a "short sale', or something similar)? I don't think there is anything wrong if you did.

No. bought it from a family member. Tenants moved out recently so just doing some repairs and trying to sell it.

How much were the tenants paying for rent each month?

$1300

This can increase if there are two tenants. One in the main part of the house and one in the down stairs "ohana" housing studio. All that would need to be added is electrical + stove + permit to be rented out separately to a second tenant (assuming the buyer wants to go this route). <-----this is what my realtor told me so don't quote me.

** That tank of water in the pix is CATCHMENT tank. There is no county water. It is all rain water (filtered of course).
