Hello rowenta01, this is a great list, I just wanted to add a few dark horse candidates just to be comprehensive.

Zclassic - formed from Zcash, community driven coin
Aeon - also from the CryptoNote family
DeepOnion - Tor integrated, this has gone viral in recent weeks
Spectrecoin - Tor integrated, formerly ShadowCash

My favorites of the privacy coins either by capital invested or sweat equity are Monero, Verge and Deep Onion.

Two coins that are integrating anon capabilities are Byteball and Viacoin so these are worth keeping an eye on.

It is my view that the war on cash will lead to a major capital realignments to privacy coins via a vis cash, so fasten your seatbelts.

Even though I am a big supporter of the blockchain technology and specially of Ethereum, I am keeping an eye on Byteball and BlackByte development. They use a different technology (DAG instead of blockchain) and BlackByte looks like a promising coin for anonymity.

Thery are currently distributed for free if you already own Bitcoin or Byteball. Byteball is traded in exchange, but Blackbytes are only traded agains byteball in their own wallet.

maybe its the best, but anonymous coin have policy risk and its price can be dump a lot due to an action like poloniex do to the zcash, you better think clearly before buying

Verge has a lot of potential. Maybe it wont beat monero but i tjink definently gonna fight with monera and zcash. At mid term i think verge gonna rise. But i dont know long term.

We cannot say it is best but it is now used in dark market and may be eventually changed with the bitcoin as it offers privacy in the dark market so it will be probably more valuable in the future.

Cryptographers here are stating this fast fro more then 3 years on this forum. Only threat to Monero was long awaited ( was postponed many times) launching of ZCash a year ago. But as you can see on your link ZCash have many flaws. and was not made in Bitcoin spirit of Satoshi. When you need to trust someone is not your coins. When thee is a company behind it it is not fully decentralized.

Been saying same thing since it was 10$, Monero will be great because there is a great need for it , simple as that. And soon price will reflect it.

It's true that Monero is one and only coin that maintains the privacy at its best.
As well as it is also undervalued at the moment, I think it should definitely reach $100 one day soon after everyone decides to shift their coins from ETH to XMR.

Zcash is also a good anon coin but the supply has problems I guess. Some people said zcash devs can add supply whenever they want to it. This is a bad aspect of it. Monero is all good anon coin for the people.
