Yeah! No matter how huge Libra is and how powerful the team behind it are, it will still be another altcoin, Bitcoin will surely remain the king of cryptocurrency!

yes it's still early, especially the Lybra is still young and hasn't even been launched. But my prediction of Lybra coins will affect the crypto market. but can't compare with bitcoin, bitcoin is still the top and can't compare with any altcoin including Lybra

It is not about being too early to make comparison between Libra and Bitcoin, but the main point is that both of them should not be compared to each. You say they are built on blockchain so Libra is as safe as Bitcoin, reality is that Blockchain is transparent and so is Bitcoin, but Libra won't be, because it will be a closed source project.

Its definitely too early to compare Libra with bitcoin. Bitcoin is already existing while Libra is just starting and no one knows what the project will deliver. I think we should wait for the full launch of Libra coin and then we can start comparing it with all sort existing Cryptos.

Absolutely incomparable things, Bitcoin is always in our hearts, and Libra is just another stable coin.

Libra has not yet been launched and it cannot be said that it is still too early to be compared to bitcoin, and it would be more appropriate to say it is too early to be compared to bitcoin if Libra coins are already on the market, and even though Libra coins have been launched still need a process to compare with bitcoin and I think bitcoin remains the king of cryptocurrency and no one will replace and compare it.

It's not that it's too early to compare the two but the two cryptocurrencies are not just comparable enough. Both have different ways in improving themselves. For example libra coin is a stable coin and bitcoin is a coin that has a big fluctuations. I think you can compare Libra coin to the coins that are similar to it. And compare bitcoin to other altcoins like Ethereum.

Libra is a simple global currency and financial infrastructure that empowers billions of people. Libra consists of three parts that will work together to create a more inclusive financial system:
1. It is built on a blockchain that is safe, measurable, and reliable.
2. This is supported by asset reserves designed to provide intrinsic value.
3. This is regulated by an independent Libra Association which is tasked with developing ecosystems.

Are you aware that when they are busy with this project and we are also busy promoting their projects through this post. yes oral indeed very quickly affects society.
then what makes you so sure about this project? but I personally don't think that this is IMMEDIATELY, while Bitcoin is very decentralized and Lybra is more focused on finance.
so I think this is just about developing the adoption of blockchain technology in the future and cannot be compared to the investment aspects of the value of bitcoin. because bitcoin has been around for a long time and will remain the cryptoqurrency market leader.

99% people  here uneducated in simple things in life not talking about complex things which they far away from understanding this....but in order to answer you this so you will know what wait us in the future without predicting and be sure we need to dive deep from where bitcoin come...

LETS GO..
bitcoin come from peer to peer file sharing with twist called blockchain.
now why peer to peer file sharing(decentralized tech) was burn because before this there was centrelized tech which mean there was few main servers that hold all the info like movies,mp3,software and computers around the world was downloading from this main servers without be depending on each other, what happen is the governmnets pretty fast locate this servers and shut down them.

then people became more smart

and build decentralized=peer to peer file sharing which mean our private computers are the servers, for example computer A download from computer B and computer B upload something to computer Z and so on...

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer protocol, which means that the computers in a BitTorrent “swarm” (a group of computers downloading and uploading the same torrent) transfer data between each other without the need for a central server.

now the governmnet need to shut down more then 500 million private computers and its impossible ,,its called decentralized tech.

now bitcoin is peer to peer money and not file sharing compare to libra project which is centerlized tech and decentralized tech always win...

libra is not threat and will be huge failure for sure its stable coin.

stable coin its not investment its exchange nothing more because the price dont grow its like to exchange usd to euro nothing more but even more
libra stable coins its not real crypto stable coin its centralized and control by facebook ...real crypto its mean its peer to peer money and no central control exist and no body can lock your account or other shit

so fucking simple...

decentralized tech mixed with distributed tech will eat the entire system like peer to peer file sharing it cannot go the other way,

Hmm I think maybe yes it is.. too early to tell which one is good and better on cryptocurrency between libra and bitcoin while for now we just can assume how libra works later on cryptocurrency , see what company backed Libra , also I think Libra has released their whitepaper right ? Little bit remember about it by read article from crypto-press magazine (maybe Coindesk or something.. I forgot)
And also , last update I got about Libra is Their had some "meeting" with Binance.. didn't know what "meeting" for

You cannot compare the oldest crypto currency with another centralised payment system and it does not matter if it comes from Facebook or Apple. It won't bring any benefits to the industry, because Libra does not have a core advantage of crypto currencies - decentralisation.
Even Facebook will need more than $ 1 billion to promote its coin, and it will take at least 2-3 years. I think this is a very difficult project.

I hear Libra is stablecoin, if it's true. comparing with bitcoin is very irrelevant. if you want to compare better with coins that have the same function as tether or other.

I do not understand why so people are so eager to compare any coin with bitcoin, there can never be another king in this game, in the business of Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin will continue to lead and if for any reason it ceases to exist, that automatically means there will not be crypto anymore. Libra is on its world, may be competing with social tokens like reddit and Steemit but not the king of crypto. Meanwhile the project is not exciting even if it gets approved as it will likely be hijacked by the high and mighty and a lot of persons may lose investing in it

I think Libra is just a coin with financial attributes. It can't be compared with BTC. BTC is targeting gold. Libra was only proposed by Facebook, and it has some influence. But I think BTC's market position cannot be shaken.

BTC is definitely not to be shaken by a stablecoin that is basically a digital dollar in disguise, I know stablecoin helps a lot of people for its stability but it is still stable coin at the end of the day and if to be compared with bitcoin it is like comparing an apple with a mango, both of them are an entirely different thing and not to be compared except for certain specific comparison.

Not really. You can already read a lot of materials about Libra today. You can watch videos about how it is being assessed by crypto personalities. In fact you can already go over their whitepaper which is available over the internet. There are also several threads here which you can monitor about how Libra fares to crypto supporters. Even if Libra is still a plan, it is already well-defined.

I guess there is no comparison to make to begin with, what would you like to compare if they were here for a decade all together? One is a currency that is everyone's and decentralized and has no one controlling it and by far superior in technology.

On the other hand there is a currency facebook created that is pegged to dollar which is centralized and can be controlled by the government and the coin would be only used for buying something on facebook or instagram and maybe send money to others from whatsapp at best case. That is why it is not really possible to compare the two coins together just yet, maybe in the future when things change or maybe you can compare them in the marketcap prices but looking at the technical details of it you won't be able to compare them together even in the future.
