This is an accumulation of several factors, first, bitcoin and the crypto world are increasingly popular and known to the public, so this is increasingly being used by fraudsters. Secondly, the difficult situation in the pandemic makes most people easily provoked by the lure, it cannot be denied that many things have changed including reduced salaries, narrowed employment, and many other difficulties, so many people are hoping for "miracles" like that. Third, social media has a big influence in today's life, many influential people use and communicate using social media, this has become part of the lifestyle of modern society. So when there was a case of massive hacking on Twitter some time ago it was quite horrendous, moreover, the verified accounts that were targeted, the effect, would be broader because the verified accounts were mostly influencers.

So, we should be really careful. Be sure to analyze it first. If there is a give away that requires you to make a deposit first, you should leave it immediately.

Payment Gateway Allows Recurring Payments
I have noticed them but not only this time but even during the old times, there were scams countless times. They never give up and even up to now, they are still spreading their scheme throughout the cryptocurrency communities. The twitter account scam that promoted scams, I don't have updates with them but if I have to read one update from them then it should be that Twitter has already done their part to tracked the person responsible for that ruckus.

Scammers will try and try again and the bad thing is, they are growing everyday. Since a lot of people see that they can screw naive individuals without risking their identity, they found a good breeding ground to hold their operations. That is the drawback of crypto, as they can launch their projects anonymously or give rewards, promos or any giveaway without giving their true identities, they can get away without a trace. So it is only up to the user if he will be lured with these too-good-to-be-true offers.
It could be that they are the people that's hard to stop. Even the scheme is the same and they're all doing the same scam, there will be victims that will fall for them.
People should not be encouraged with those too good to be offers, they must have the sense of curiosity why those offers are giving them the benefit as good as it can be. That's how they attract victims and people who never experienced it should take caution on it.

I don't think it's planned or something since even before the halving, there's already a lot of fake or scam giveaways happening in big social media platforms. It's just that, there was a recent hacking incident with big accounts on twitter. Now we are seeing more victims falling with this scamming because almost everyone is on their social media accounts that's why scammers and hackers are using this as an opportunity. As for the victims, I think the current pandemic also contributes because people need more income that's why they are being greedy and easily believing in giveaways.

Do people notice that these scam giveaways are just happening this year after the halving and many social media hacks are happening
are all these planned because people are tempted to give in and fall in this scam giveaways because of the big bonus
Bitcoin is now moving up and so many social media of popular people are hacked, is this coincidence or planned.

I'm particularly worried about the incessant hacking of social media accounts. I understand, it's not a new scheme but it's rather very rampant this days and I feel something may have ignited this anomaly. Maybe it's the increase in the value of Bitcoin or something else I cannot fathom.

A lot of them are appearing seems the trend now is focused on bitcoin price and the other top altcoins. which makes those scammers think of strategies on how they will fool those poor new investors who happened not to be familiar with their schemes. Nowadays, as soon as those scammers try to lure some new investors to their bait, we need to warn as many people as we could to prevent them from falling to these filthy scammers. No matter what kind of fake giveaways are there as soon as we post it here and prevent our newbie members from joining, their plan will not be a success and they will get nothing in return.
This scheme comes like a ponzi scheme that promises unreasonable profits such as giveaway from some well-known Elon Musk, CZ etc. I am also worried that many investors will be fooled by things like this and even a lot of catches that occur in this forum about trending coins like tron there are still many ponzi schemes with high rewards and naturally the layman will be interested in this bulging investment.
Every time there is a trend in the market, the scamer will do the action the way they do it.

there must be many theories for that, if indeed it was a conspiracy it means it was already planned. the goal is to make a big pump against certain coins, say bitcoin and it aims to benefit certain parties.

The hacks were before Bitcoin's moving price so I can't say that scam giveaways contribute to this increase. Bitcoin is already well-known and popular among technology enthusiasts on social media like twitter, youtube, facebook,... So it isn't because of social media in this case, I think. We need to wait for a bit to see how this Bitcoin's pump going to understand why all of this thing happened.

For example, YouTube is very slow to respond to reports, and sometimes does not respond at all, almost every day I see ads for another scam distribution, I think that YouTube just does not care about its users.

They are partly to blame on that because they are not quick to take action and one more they allow ads of these scam giveaways I saw a lot of ads on youtube about these scams giveaways and people might think that those ads are legit because they allow it to be shown in their platform, they do not have a regulatory board to screen those ads.

Actually it does not matter, but because there are so many users that it takes time to be responded one by one, because the YouTube platform is very advanced and popular, so it requires a little patience in waiting for a response from them.

Everything is possible, because scammers see how cryptocurrency very quickly becomes popular all over the world and scammers understand that in this area they can easily make money on people who are easy to deceive and therefore there are so many scammers in the cryptocurrency field and we need always be careful.

They still care about the user, but it's really hard to censor all content. So they will take a lot of time to handle it, the easiest is to protect yourself and warn it to everyone.

I don't think it is because the price of crypto is increasing that cause increase in number of scam giveaway. Most of this scam use the same script that has been reportedly used before so I believe other scammers are using the same just because some of the reported ones are successful. Meaning some fell for the scam. Such media attention makes other hackers to look for other means of perpetuating this evil

I think this is coincidence. last few years so many hackers hacked giant businessman social media account.Even many big exchanger hacked in last few years. Also scam giveaways is not a new thing. This is the old method and only greedy people is the victim. If people is smart enough then they are not going to catch that kind of giveaways.

scam giveaways were already exists and it's not new. Most of the victims were newbies so even we warned those people to not participate it but they still hooked by big ROI or doubling their bitcoin.
We are talking about what was the reason to pushing there was a lot of scam giveaways are coming up right now.

OP was saying about the correct point and even if that was not something new but we can try to make a conclusion if bitcoin bullish trend was making the scammers became more active to create more and more scam tricks. We must anticipate that thing to happen.

Newbies did not becomes usually a victims of scammer, because they don't have spare money to spend. But who usually become a victim - old, experiences and senior members, who "saw and know everything" in this World. And they believe in their knowledge so much, so they do not believe they might me scammed.

That is a no brainer. As the market goes up, scammers activities go up too. The newbie mostly fall prey. I still can’t see the correlation between the recent social media hacks and the recent movement of the market. It seems pretty coincidental that after the hacks, market started going up. Probably, just a coincidence.

Though there were some surge in giveaways this year, but this has been happening before too probably not with the level of scam with which we have now.  The truth is that, people are looking for money and a way of living and they are trying all possible means to get this.  You can participate in giveaways if you have spare time but DON'T put any of your money or asset there whether for claiming or something related because greater percent of them are not real.

Scammers are increasing in numbers as the Bitcoin market goes up, there might be new people in crypto who started investing who is an easy target for this seasoned scammers. Those who are already experienced are less likely to fall as victim in this kind of scheme, that is why crypto awareness should be spread to help those who are unaware of this scheme.

Scammers always utilize the current market situation to fool people. Just be cautious and aware and never ever trust easy money. Keep in mind that no one will give you a chance to earn easy money, crypto market is risky, there is no such thing as free or easy money in crypto.
