I watched it unfold live on the Tone Vays stream... brilliant coverage and insight

So whose going to win out?

Is there a future for either?

Is there so much disagreement within the communities that one or both of them will fork again at some point?

Will they fork themselves into oblivion?

Can a fork from bitcoin ever be successful?

These thoughts and many more... thought I'd stick them all in to one post... please share yours

I think that, Yes, in the long run. I think in 2019, the cryptocurrency market will begin to recover, and these coins will show themselves, from the best side.

Interesting additions made with SV could make things interesting.. let's wait for the Coin Geek conference this weekend..
I would not try to watch it. CG was obviously on the BSV side and anything that will be discussed is about to shilling BSV and spread lies about ABC. Both of these coins suck.
but thanks for free money from both of these coins.  Tongue

What is even there to care about between the two? Forks suck and that is all I see! Moreover, it is a good thing to see Roger Ver get to have a taste of his own medicine after all. However they want to keep forking them up, I am sure it does not mean a thing than they are basically useless and they will never stop being shit coins as far as I am concerned. It is a crazy thing to even want to be considering all these in the first place, bch was just a busy excuse for roger and Jihan as far as I am concerned.

It has no instinct value, it most likely a shit of a shit fork. I really don't know why people support this kind of fork coin but anyways I read some,on the medium article most likely Bitcoin ABC is likely most successful than the other coin.

Who's going to win?
BCHABC officially won hash war.. read the announcement on https://cash.coin.dance/

Announcement

Coin Dance is now able to declare that both active chains will continue to be permanently split into the foreseeable future. The majority of businesses in the cryptocurrency ecosystem are now using Bitcoin Cash (BCH) to refer to the chain maintained by miners operating in consensus with the latest implementations from Bitcoin ABC, Bitcoin Unlimited, Bitprim, Bitcoin XT, bcash, and bchd. A number of exchanges have added support for the Bitcoin SV chain under the Bitcoin SV (BSV / BCHSV) name but general app support is currently very limited. Expect to see announcements made from each of the major companies in the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem that clarify which chain(s) they will support going forward.

Is there a future for either?
BCHABC is BCH as we already knew it, so the adoption with businesses and all will continue and grow even further without that Craig parasite.
BCHSV will also continue to exist however its price will drop to the 20$ range since its current market cap (equivalent to Cardano!..) is completely unjustified.

As for me, I participated in this fork. I hold these tokens on binance. As soon as will be the first pump I will see them. I don't think that these tokens will make x10

The bitcoin cash forking is a battle between two elephants it only the grass that will suffer at the end, what this means is that it the small investors that will suffer from this action at the end because the coins are only going to be dump once they achieve the point they are both trying to proof.

will all bitcoin forks affect the price of bitcoin? I do not think so, they are independent and have an eindependent price turnover, I am not bothered by all bitcoin forks, they actually have attractive colors in the crypto world

I believe that the developers of Bitcoin Cash have become hostages of the situation that they themselves once created, as a result of that situation, and there was a fork of the original Bitcoin. Now the same thing happened to their coin. BTHABC will be a continuation of the original BCH, and that will be with BTHSV only time will tell.

the victor is still the ruler and clearly has a future. disagreement clearly exists and will return at the same point, about forgetting myself I don't know, but if they have a high level of solidarity it will obviously help a lot

I think they are both worthless and I think it is scary to think that btc.com had hash power so big they could potentially %51 attack bitcoin itself. We have seen a lot of crazy people and we have seen a lot of worthless technology lately.

First of all, if we look at the ABC dudes they had all the hash power in the world under their hands and they have managed to get all that into bitcoin cash to overpower SV people but that also shows how much power just one company can have and how close we are to destroying the bitcoin itself.

Now, looking at the SV side that crazy lunatic dude could look like he is worthless and insane but he is an insane person with a lot of bitcoins, I mean A LOT and he could totally destroy the market by selling all his coins which would still make him rich, just not as rich as he used to be but still insanely rich. Both sides are very dangerous for crypto.

I feel as though SV is going to win out in the long term because CSW is willing to see it through to the end. Jihan Wu seems more likely to remain focused on bitcoin mining than on making ABC a success.

Long term I don't think either will be a success as they can't compete with bitcoin.

Roger Ver and Craig Wright are both pretty aggressive characters... real shame I used to have loads of respect for Roger Ver but he is dedicated...

I'm not sure about Craig Wright... I think he'd cut off his nose to spite his face... something really odd about that guy

I'm kinda hoping ABC and Roger Ver wins out... lesser of two evils scenario for me

I don't hold any faith either have long term staying power BUT Roger Ver I do believe is a genuine talented and creative guy... I wouldn't be surprised that he could turn things around whatever he gets involved in

Definitely agree with CSW cutting off his own nose to spite his face, he seems a bit delusional in that regard. Again agree with wanting ABC to win out, most importantly I hope whichever coin wins out it's sooner rather than later, the longer the hash war continues the worse it is for the whole market.

ONe Social Network.
I was already a little upset about the fork that was the creation of bch, and now we have another fork? I think that this is not doing any good to the market, instead of uniting and concentrating a bit the investment, we are deviating a lot, now the forks have more forks and probably is a question of time until another difference starts creating a new fork

There's more hashrate, company support and nodes for bitcoin ABC.

https://cash.coin.dance/

But this battle hasn't ended yet.

Again: hash rate cannot be reliably measured. This is an estimation and you would need sustained 51% hash OVER the ABC fork, not on the SV chain which doesnt matter at all. SV wants to reorg only the ABC chain. The prices of the SV altcoin show how much money is nChain losing compared to bitmain as the cannot profit from their chain.
BTW, ABC has now checkpoints that invalidate a total reorganization.

As I stated in my thread, the reason why BCHABC is going to win are:
+ ANT pool & Jihan Wu
+ Bitcoin.com
+ Binance, coinbase and other major exchanges have take BCHABC side. Bittrex has even dubbed it as BCH.
Eventually it will be renamed BCH unanimously by all other exchanges.

Craig Wright is a liar who can't even put together a sentence.

Buy, sell and store real cryptocurrencies
First of all, I should correct the encryption you listed, they should be BCHABC and BCHSV, not BTC, I think the victory will be left to the economically powerful side!
