Satoshi Nakamoto Sat, 01 Nov 2008 16:16:33 -0700

This Saturday (Nov 1, 2015) is seven years exactly since it was posted that Satoshi had "been working on a new electronic cash system that's fully
peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party."

The fact that its lasted this long is a testament to the strength of the idea as well as the process for putting into play, fragility notwithstanding.

EDIT FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY:

Satoshi posted at 16:16:33.  Google search of "16:16:33" yields many links to the Bible passages at John 16:16-33, the first line of which being as follows:

"Jesus went on to say, 'In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.'"

Wow, people have a wild imagination but I have to give it to you, bringing those two together certainly bring things into perspective. It was destined for him to come back, and I sure hope to see him soon around here.

The difference would be, if Satoshi come back, he will be nailed to the cross by the people hunting for him now.

if I was satoshi, I'd be afraid of prosecution. this satoshi character created something very revolutionary; I don't think I'd want my name attached to it.

It's a team not a single person.
This is what I had concluded.
It is not just one person but an entity like Anonymous.
One face for them all. Cool

It's common among people who wants to hide their true identities to choose (subconsciously) an alias with the same beginning letter like their original name. SN - NS

it's also possible that satoshi had a aka, or many other account, that were created long time go, when he first registered

and now he is using one those, to be active and watching, it would be funny he he lost every coins he had, and now he is wearing a sig to earn something again

Are we talking about Satoshi or Tupac, lol. People are really reaching with their theories.#

If the man exists he's not going to return on any anniversaries, he'll probably just stay in the background lurking and do his thing.

Satoshi in the cut, that's a scary sight.

No theory here - just the results of a google search that made me chuckle and that I thought others might enjoy as well.

The paper doesn't give a great deal of info about the man himself, I'd be very surprised if he was a real person names Satoshi Nakamoto. If he does exist, then I'd imagine he's keeping him and his coins private.

I probably would too!

Satoshi clearly stated on the Cryptography Mailing List in 2008 that :

Quote from: Satoshi Nakamoto
Theorizing that one could time travel within my own lifetime, I stepped into the quantum leap accelerator and vanished. I awoke to find myself trapped in the past, facing mirror images that were not my own, and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better. My only guide on this journey is Al, an observer from my own time, who appears in the form of a hologram that only I can see and hear. And so, I find myself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that my next leap will be the leap home.

That's is really kind of insane and arrogant all at the same time, was Satoshi always this arrogant when talking about himself/herself/themself?  Maybe "it" left because he was too far up his own ass, I mean he had a reason, I guess... a lot smarter than I would ever be... but still that just sounds all like a bunch of rubbish.

I am quite shocked you guys took me at face value.
I was hoping people would put it together and get a few lols, but alas.....

Not another satoshi speculation thread , we've been over this more than a 100 times already. We don't know who satoshi was or where he lived, people making comments here are just guessing. And if you haven't yet found out the other satoshi discussion threads , google "Who satoshi bitcointalk" and for some extra drama write "satoshi email hacked" . At any rate, satoshi was the guy behind this account: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/satoshi-3 anything more than that is a speculation.
P.S: Shouldn't this type of threads belong in Speculation board?

Satoshi got too much attention from the wrong group of people, when Gavin ran too the authorities and decided to bail out on the coming circus. The Libertarian and Anarchists also gathered around this technology,

and I think all this attention made him/her nervous. I would have done the same, if I were in that situation. Some people are attention whores and other like to operate in the shadows.  Roll Eyes

The "not knowing" part, adds to the mystique of this whole scene... It could be a anti-climax if we knew who he or she was.. and people will judge based on Satoshi's origin.  Sad

I like this theory, it all seems fishy to me, how it all came together and started to expand. Maybe there are motives we don't know about.
