The good effects of social media are:
1. You can easily communicate incase of emergency within your friends and relatives.
2. Easily to get news in your environment.
3. You can enjoy it like watching videos , chatting to friends and etc.

The bad effects of social media:
1. Kids or Teens will adopt a bad habits and get addicted.
3. Other news that you read is fake.
3. Many scammers using social media to get money and get victims.

Social media has greatly improved and made life easier. They can communicate with someone who is in the other end of the world, watch interesting movies, listen to your favorite music, share useful information with friends, be always aware of important events, there are still reminders of friends birthday, which is very convenient. Only if it is too abusive to spend time in social media, they are the cause of the loss of time and over time there is a dependence.

i can't really think of many positive effects so i'll concentrate on the bad, it allows the companies you're using to build an insanely detailed file about you that they can take away and use in any way they want.

you're opening a door into your mind and they're taking what they want. like so many other things it starts off harmless enough but we're already seeing things like companies wanting to see your profiles when you apply for a job and border guards too. the stuff that should remain private is gonna bleed over into every area of your life and affect it.
