Addiction can only be removed by the person who is addicted. Regardless of any promotion or programs you present to them? They will still ignore it and worse could take the same opportunity but for them to reinforce their addiction and not to remove it. What people need is awareness, education, and practice of it. Maybe those tournaments would work for some time, but it not used correctly, this may turn out to be negative instead of positive outlook with addcition to gambling.
Only an addicted person can cure it, and it is the intention to cure his gambling addiction. Without having a strong intention, they will not be able to cure it but will return to gambling again, and there is a possibility that their gambling addiction will worsen. As long as the people who play cannot control themselves when playing in tournaments, they can also become addicted to playing games. And they can also lose track of time because they can play many interesting games. Moreover, they can win prize money, which will make many of them even more eager to win it.

I have no idea how can free tournament help addicted gambler, afaik when someone is addicted (no matter what kind of addiction), he/she should start to leave anything related to the addiction.
Dont you think that it will not make them at all because they will still playing slot games although they do it without risking money?
Afaik it will not help them to reduce their addiction but it will only help them to spend less money for a while only, once the free tournament is over then they will continue with their own money.
To stop addiction effectively, gamblers should start from themselves by a great will to leave it step by step.

It's a massive stretch made by the user to sell Social Tournaments for some reason. Logically speaking there's no way these "free tournaments" are made to help the average gambler who's addicted to relinquish the bad behaviors in my opinion it even promotes it which is a massive kick in the balls for those people who wanted to quit gambling. I would agree with you too, there's no real solution to solving gambling addiction than quitting gambling outrightly.

Social tournaments is a massive free tournament for people who wanted to play but got no money to deposit at best, it's no end-all-be-all solution to gambling addiction and it will never be since it promotes the very thing that you're trying to quit in the first place.

You are right about that, with a tournament even though not risking money it is the same as still playing slot games and has no effect to leave the game, in fact the addict will be more active in participating in the game and more likely to be able to return to betting with money.
The correct way is to change all the addict's activities, which were initially full of gambling games, into activities that are more useful and not related to any gambling games. it will help reduce their addiction and slowly forget about gambling. it's not good if you have entered the addiction phase, it will be a bad and uncontrolled life.

I don't know if many of you knows SocialTournaments where they hold free tournaments with different types, maximum multiplier, total points score and other related slot machines tournament, they are managed by Pragmatic Play provider and it is a way to invite people to gambling but I see it as an alternative to people who are addicted, they can stop the addiction as they offer enough daily, weekly and monthly tournaments to keep you entertained without you spending any money and if you are in luck and get the biggest multiplier or biggest score you even win real money to your account which you can withdraw to your crypto wallets.

I am in no way affiliated with them and you need big KYC,Proof of Address,National ID and Proof of Wallet to get your money.Do you think this platform can help people remove addiction,I think it can be a big boost to do so.

By the way, your title is a little unrelated to the content of your topic, the title should be to stop gambling addiction, not gambling.

Even though I've just heard of tournaments like this, I'm quite pessimistic that it will have a big impact on stopping them from gambling addiction, because what gambling addicts actually aim for is real winning money (they've lost a lot so they hope to be able to get their money back missing). The tournament above will certainly attract the interest of many gamblers, but only for those who consider gambling to be entertainment.

I agree with your statement.

While I do recognize the efforts of creating social tournaments in order to combat gambling addiction, this just further intensifies the act of gambling in itself. To put it clearly, it brings more harm than good especially to those people who are striving to absolutely cure their addiction from gambling.

Like what I have suggested, a person who aims to cure their addiction should slowly but totally remove any form of gambling on their system. By introducing social tournaments, this gives these people a reason to gamble albeit no money is involved.

Actually I've never heard of the Social Tournament you mentioned. But if there are indeed a variety of games that are free and don't require a deposit then in my opinion maybe that could be an alternative way to make someone who is addicted to gambling not waste their money.
But it might be difficult if someone is not addicted to online gambling but they are addicted to offline gambling.
I don't know, in my opinion maybe this method can be overcome so that they don't waste their money, but I'm also not sure that this will solve their addiction problem or maybe this will actually make their addiction problem worse.
Someone who has experienced gambling addiction disorder should be kept away from all things related to gambling, right?.

That's unusual for a casino game provider to launch a program to stop gambling addiction. They are doing this to promote their games and for people hooked up to the games they are providing, so when they stop, these social tournaments people will use real money to play their games because they are now hooked to it.

I doubt if any of the participants can say that he stopped his addiction to gambling by participating in these social tournaments, If I want my addiction stopped I will contact a professional and undergo a rehabilitation program not play games associated with casino game providers.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I can't understand how anyone who even remotely knows how the industry works can think that this is done altruistically to stop people from playing. It is precisely the opposite, as you rightly say. And it's laughable that people like the OP have swallowed the bait and think this is some kind of social work on the part of the casino.

It is not that I got the bait mate,I know that most likely they want to promote their games as if you win big there you may think now let's go and play for real the slot of these provider, for me though is different,I have some urge to keep spinning the slot machines daily and to remove this addiction it is some days that I am playing only there without using real money except my time which honestly is not much,I can do 6 tournaments for an hour and also by doing so to lower the desire to go and spin in real casinos with real money,in this context this is a good option to stop playing.
I do understand where you are coming from here.
There may be a chance that some gamblers do play tournaments only and I actually know one of my friends. But he doesn't play slots or dice, and other casino games. Poker is his game and he also doesn't do buy-ins and sit on one table. Tournaments are what he actually likes and somehow I see him as a non-addict player because there is no urge to keep playing thanks to those tournaments that he had been joining.
That's why I think it might work but it will still depend on the perspective of every gambler. Some will see this as the start of their gambling addiction while some will see this as an opportunity to play free and somehow win some money without any invested money, all they need is some effort and time management on when the battle will begin.

I have done so as I know every day there are different tournaments there,it is enough to stop my urge to gamble with real money and I like the opportunity to win real money on top of that as it is using nothing to earn something.Of course it is not nothing as we use our time but most tournaments there with the autoplay and the turbo spin end in less than 15 minutes so that is great.I know though that they are doing it not to stop gambling addiction but to promote their games yet there are people like me who are using them to stop throwing real money into different casinos,so far it is working for me.
That's good for you because at least you can win real money from that tournament. I see we can play many games from slot provider Pragmatic Play, which is a great way to avoid real gambling addiction. I've tried to register and see what's inside.

But it seems like people can become addicted to playing in those tournaments. The important part is that they don't use the money, but the site has provided it, and we just have to play, and hopefully, we can win the tournament. And it's true that there are tournaments every day that we can choose from.

There's also a possibility that if Pragmatic stops these so-called Socialtournaments the participants will go elsewhere or to other casinos and use real money to satisfy their addiction to these Socialtournaments, so we cannot consider this concept to stop gambling addiction, anything where a user face games and makes a bet even if there's no money involved will cultivate the love for betting.
Only a professional can introduce a program that can stop addiction and game providers will not start campaigns that will stop gambling addiction because their business is associated with gambling

What is damaged can't be repaired and when it comes to human, we are given the gift of repentance and the gift of will, if you are willing to do anything you will end up doing it, when it comes to gambling addict, there is no amount of remedy, strategy or treatment that can cure your addiction, it's something that's ongoing in the mind and your thoughts, if you can't fix yourself there is nothing that can get you fixed.

These platforms that offers help can only be effective on someone that's just starting out his or her gambling, when they know what's ahead of them they can always evade the bad side of gambling, but for someone who is already an addict, only such person can cure it's addiction.

There was someone who I knew, he was a gambling addict, his mother took him to church and the pray every day for him, this went on for months, and when he got back home things looked normal and he at one point said he will never gamble again, until all eyes are no more on him, today he is no more alive, he died with many debt on his neck.

I just checked the site and it's just like a regular gambling casino, but with no charge, whereby you are allowed to play some games over a limit certain period of time, and if you are lucky enough to win, you get paid real cash. However, I don't see anyway this can stop people from being addictive to gambling, since it's almost the same gambling style of game prediction that is still been executed there, but just that the only advantage I see this new site has over a regular casino is it's ability to stop people from being in debts, since it's free and require you to only predict and if you are correct, you win a price.

If I understand correctly, what you are saying requires KYC or any national ID, something most gamblers don't want to provide on any casino platform. And if my understanding is also correct, because of the passage of KYC, many gamblers will avoid this gambling platform system and can be far from addiction. Is my thinking correct?

Now, regarding your question about whether it will help other gamblers stay away from addiction, maybe, on the other hand, it can, because other gamblers will avoid kyc, in my opinion.

No. This platform won't help anyone to stop his addiction. It will most likely help in sustaining the gambling addiction until the gambler has enough money to start betting on a normal casino. Quitting gambling completely is the only way to fight gambling addiction and it's really difficult. If this SocialTournaments platform was really dedicated in fighting gambling addiction they would never offer money prizes.
As mentioned in your post, this platform is dedicated to inviting more people in the world of gambling, rather than fighting gambling addiction.

It is a competitive tournament where in every case the players participating in the competition do not have the same chance of profit and loss as gambling. In gambling the prize money is determined by the consent of both parties and decreases over time. But in case of tournament the award is fixed and decided by the tournament organizing authority. If a person can control himself then participating in social tournaments can prevent addiction. But you have to be careful before investing money if you invest more after greed you will be at risk if you have less feeling of winning. It is better to invest any money in gambling if they lose they try to recover the lost money if it becomes an addiction their development is hindered.

I don't see how it can stop addiction where the basic thing to need to win here is to wage even more.

These kinds of tournament is already common and to be on top, you have to be on the leaderboards. For a gambling site that is already popular, the competition will be surely tough, and maintaining the position will be hard. You need more money here for this type of competition. How it can even help people to minimize and lessen their gambling addiction?

It's still gambling with just another tweak. It's even promoting gambling more as why should they care for gambling addiction?
