solana won't be able to overtake ethereum, just see how ethereum trades on the market, it's only 4600$ per coin. solana is not worth more than 235$ per coin.!!!solana's price will always be less than ethereum's price because Ethereum is the most popular cryptocurrency with an all-time high of $4900 per coin in this month.!!!!Most people think that solana will be able to overtake this currency, but they are wrong because solanas price does not even come close to what Ethereum has already obtained economically.

It's too early to say the thing like this. Sol can't even overtake BSC as the third largest cryptocurrency based on the market capitalization. It's impossible for solana to overtake ethereum's position. That can be known from just comparing the marketcap between sol and ethereum. Why or why not in your opinion? Sol has more room to grow but the question is will it happen? I will try to remind you with some old projects like antshares, ADA and EOS even lisk. These projects have been thinking they could surpass and replace ethereum easily and then they are garbage project at this time except DOT even if this platform didn't have actual product to be used by its users and hodlers That's a very natural thing because CZ also doesn't want to be outdone by other new coins where they are all under BNB and ETH, so what needs to be understood is that the coins that are above Solana now are very good and good coins and not easy to beat.
To be honest Solana is performing well in the market today and the performance that this project had shown in the last months are exceptional which I do believe that this project has a great future ahead and the usecases of the project is amazing. For me seeing Solana performing well is enough I mean we all knew that Ethereum is align as next to bitcoin in the hierarchy of great token in crypto platform also, after Ethereum here we are align the Binance or BNB so before Solana could get rid Ethereum in its position it would meet first the other token below Ethereum. For now, I think this project has a long way to go but the improvement is greatly amazing, so I think anything is possible.
The issue right now with ETH are the fees. If you are sending ETH and the Gwei is around 100 which is usually the lowest you can get these days you are paying around $10 for a transaction. But if you want to send a erc20 token it’s around $35 or so. So basically not useable at all for any small or medium type of transactions. Even Bitcoin transactions are considered crazy cheap compared to ETH.
So this is why many people are using other projects and while other project are gaining traction. However when you look at market cap, I don’t think it will exceed ETHs. Most people especially the large whales hold erc20 tokens like stablecoins all on ETH since SOL is still considered new.

solana won't be able to overtake ethereum, just see how ethereum trades on the market, high fees don't affect the popularity of ethereum. the ethereum community ecosystem will not be surpassed by solana. when solana is bullish then ethereum will continue to be bullish too.
What you say is clearly very true and correct because Ethereum is not a coin that sits in the market and just waiting for others to overtake it, because with the high cost alone there are still many people who choose Ethereum, especially if the fees can be very low, so this is something that must be done It is well understood by everyone that Ethereum is a very powerful coin since the old days. Far from happening if we take the question today but not impossible to happen. But for me, we should not think about it yet.
One thing for sure and I believed in that, SOL has lots of reasons to grow but same as ETH or other top coins, it will take time. For how long, we don't know.

Absolutely not.
In terms of utility, SOL essentially has just one advantage which is cheaper TX fees.
All of the projects on SOL are pretty much copies of what has been done on ETH, e.g. NFT collections or whatnot.
ETH's first mover advantage will be huge, there is no denying that. SOL/ADA etc. have lots of potential but the likely outcome is that they die down once the hype ceases.

It has room to grow, bit it won't flip eth in a million years. Sol needs a correction, and that will be insanely harsh. Also most brilliant minds are developing eth2.0 and network effect for development are pretty much theirs. I am sad to say but most layer 1 project "eth killers" will be useless after Eth scales.

Solana has a lot of room to grow. They have done really big things this year and they are continuing to impress im even thinking of getting a big bag of SOL. But for it to overtake ETH will take a lot more. I dont think that will happen anytime soon even with how fast SOL is growing

I get that many people are fine with it, and they are liking the blockchain improvements which I am all for, however do you really not realize that freezing the whole system and having that ability is the scariest thing ever in the entire world?I do not get how much you like the technology behind it, I do not care how much the pace and the cheapness attracts you, I do not care how many projects it could handle and how many people could come over and how high the potential is. All of that takes a second seat to the fact that we are talking about a place that is fully centralized to me, being able to stop the network is the worst thing a project could possibly do.

there's a big potential for SOL to grow more in the future, but to over take ethereum market cap seems impossible in my personal opinion, Because you know obviously SOL need to accumulate more in order to achieve that things and if its possible to happen probably unless if ethereum suffer from a problem and didn't perform well in the market because for that reason SOL known as a "ethereum killer" has a high chance to reach that value without knowing as it's very optimistic as well.. But you know ethereum has been on the space for long time and ever since before no other altcoins can take over in it.. Wherein only ethereum can do that to bitcoin.. 
If we talk about Solana's potential, it's definitely there, especially as long as Eth continues to have high costs, don't rule out the possibility that Solana will be used by investors and traders alike. Just looking at Solana's project, which has been so much sought after lately, has provided an impetus for Solana to continue to be friends with newcomers.

Probably never? Or least not in this cycle, not in a way it overtakes and remains as the no.1 altcoin. Solana is worth 13% of Ethereum's market cap right now, so would require 8x against ETH in order to overtake by market capitalisation. This doesn't mean $1880 SOL either, as this would be based on Ethereum remaining at current prices and not increasing as well. It would instead be around 0.4 ETH.
Similar to how in Summer of 2017 Ethereum came very close to overtaking Bitcoin by market cap, Solana could come close but is unlikely to do so this year or next imo. For it to be considered the most valuable altcoin, it'll need a few more years to prove itself as relevant. If anything, it remains overbought and overextended against both BTC and ETH and worthy of taking profits on.

SOL grew very fast to quite a large cryptocoin, maybe a bit too fast. One day it might overtake ETH, but I don't think it will happen in the near future as ETH is more established and not standing still

SOL will still be very difficult to overtake ETH, because I see experience with BNB which used to have the opportunity to overtake ETH, but so far BNB has not been able to overtake ETH, even though in general BNB is a very good coin, as well as SOL

SOL has a Potential to grow of course , but will overtake Ethereum in terms of capitalization ?SOL Cap is 67 billlion usd, while ETH has 544 billion , which means SOL need to multiply at least by 8-9 their capital to make this possible.
