I still have Solaris (XLR) in cryptopia and it has zero value. Did I lose those coins? I can not change them by XLR with new algorithm?

Het, SolarisDev, did i miss something, or there's no All Masternodes tab in the new wallet? CAn't say that i need it very much, but there was some useful info, like total masternodes count.

Yes, you can solo-mine at old NIST5 algo, but it makes no sense, as you could transfer these money only to those who still uses old NIST5 wallet
I wanted your wallet address to check when the funds were transferred there, and to be presice, to check if you're cheating or not. There's no need to hide your wallet address, it is public anyway. Note that i don't ask for your private key, only XLR address.-----------------------------

Great! The update went smoothly, both local wallet and masternode updated ok. Wanted to note that my ubuntu server and local machine required to install additional libevent-dev package to compile a new wallet or run pre-compiled one.

Solaris XLR was released on 18th March, 2017. On Saturday, 07 October 2017, at 14:00 UTC the Solaris blockchain was relaunched. The former Nist5 algorithm was replaced by XEVAN.
XEVAN was founded by the Bitsend developer and has since then proven to be a stable, ASIC resistant and efficient algorithm. With hide.me Service it works fine. Also when your Computer crashing, the Tool will keep the IP becuase you save them in your hide.me account and the price ist minimal. The Configuration is simple and should can be Handle for everyone.

Why thank you for this insight. I think I would still recommend a VPS but I think what you say is doable at least for a couple nodes. I think RAM issues might creep in for the average user past two VMs. Wath hide.me -> https://hide.me
Shure is a limitation on the Personal computer Power how many masternodes will run on it. But i think that the Most people had Not more then 5 masternodes and a computer with 4 Cores and 8 GB RAM should have no Problems.

I have a theory about multiple nodes on one machine, but I have not yet tested it. Would be interesting to read about this guy's method, and if it works it's still a good way to stake coins if you have more than a thousand of them. (Yes, what I thought also involves VMs, but if that's optional that would be better.)

FYI, masternodes hosted on a VPS do not contain the coins locked up... Unless you are foolish enough to make that wallet your local wallet. The coins stay in your local wallet and not on the VPS. Also I have never seen a work around to a hard coded one IP address that actually works...
With Virtual Machines and VPN Service which give you a virtuall static IP and individual Port forwoarding it works ...
