Open to any CryptoBusiness idea you have for Ghana
I have not even attempted a masternode set up yet.   I suppose I should start now while the price of the coin is low?  Can I get more coins while mining the coin when the price is low?
The Solaris Mining Industry(SMInd) is quite independent of the market even though what happens one side influences the other.
The price is low... YES
So its a good time to buy for a Masternode... YES

Quote
Can I get more coins while mining the coin when the price is low?
The parameters to be considered here are totally different but related.
Here, it depends on the number of miners or more accurately  on the net hashrate
The higher the net hashrate(usually because price is high),  the more people among whom to share the daily block reward and consequently, the fewer XLR you will get.
It works vice versa.
I hope it answers you Smiley

Why do people dump Solaris and other coins every time bitcoin drops? It makes no sense to me as once it drops it is actually too late to sell to fiat unless you are worried it will drop further. The thing is once it drops drastically it usually jumps up later so again better to hold on to Solaris than loose on bitcoin.
I do opposite - I buy more altcoins when BTC drops.

I haven't used Windows 7 in over 5 years, so I don't know about your specific error. On Windows 10 the update took me less then 2 minutes and that included the time to do a backup before the update.
Me too, new version of Solaris wallet works fine for me any my computer (both desktop and laptop). I am not sure about what are real problems of the guy, but he/she should back his/ her wallet up, then try installing new version of Solaris again. Just try doing this, sometimes it might helps to solve problems.
If not, the guy should wait for official answer and support from Solaris team.
Please don't spam the topic and spread news about technical issues around (if they have really existed); because it won't help the project and Solaris price.
Negative impacts, in other words.

I updated the wallet a few hours ago and have had a Masternode payment come in since then. It appears that all is going well, kudos to the devs once again. Smiley
Me too, upgraded my wallet and seen it works fine. Thanks Solaris.

yeah new wallet is working fine, but it would be great if we know the reason of this soft fork, and whats different from the previous one?

edit: reading small size text i got answers... thanks,

There was no fork, it was a simple wallet update. Most developers take months to update their wallets, Solaris developers are able to update frequently and that is a very good thing.
Yes simple update that simply doesn't work and no one can reply about my errors.
Frequently wallet update will be not necessery when the blockchain will be stable but is not. So this should be not any proudm rather shame that the dev change the wallet version so frequently and we need to stop our masternode to make the updates and loose some earning

I git pulled to the last version, made git checkout to origin/v2.6.0 built it.
But it exits right after start without any output even with "-debug " argument.
While all previous versions worked perfect with that steps.

The build dependencies were upgraded in this version. It now has newer versions of QT and boost on board. You will also need to recompile the dependencies.

even wallet daemon doesn't work?  luckily I even didn't try update it yet, just imagine how many angry miners will be if I stop pool for hours
Daemon works, but Qt application doesn't run

F=CK again will loose beacuse dev update wallet every week and nedd to stop my masternode.
After update to 2.6.0.0 on VPS was ok, but can restart activation of my masternode from the local wallet
beacuse local windows QT 64bit fail to run on my window 7 ultimate!
I get this error when try to open wallet:
MinGW Runtime Assertion
Assertion failed!
Program C:/.../.../solaris-qt.exe
File:main.cpp, Line 3055

Expression: hashPrevBlock == view.GetBestBlock()

I can only choose Cancel, Retry and Ignore, and when Ignore get this error:

Assertion failed!
Program C:/.../.../solaris-qt.exe
File:main.cpp, Line 3743

Expression: !setBlockIndexCandidates.empty()

WTF is wrong with the newest QT windows wallet?

Thank you for the quick response with technical bugs related to PoS in the Solaris network. Over one-year history of Solaris project, the one and its team of developers have built up good trust in its community. I can not say anything more to thanks all of you for all great things you have done for the project.
One more updates to improve performance of Solaris network, which also prevent potential serious issues and maximize profits of Masternode owners.
Thank you again, Solaris.
