1oz gold american eagles are typically sold for above spot, there are some dealers that buy them for spot +15 and sell for spot+50

It would have been easier just to put an asking price Cheesy

I did. Above spot. Anyone who would actually buy this wouldn't have a problem with that.

Og will you accept cash for it? I think I would rather pay cash than end up kicking myself a month down the road when bitcoin price jumps back up.

Every man has his price, but my price is lower in BTC.

Ill give u spot -50 in btc?

..though this might not be what u meant bylower price in btc?

How close am I to what you're looking for? I really want to get this tbh.

Let me take a wild guess, you have never bought gold before, right?

Read OP:
...Looking for offers above the gold spot price.

I know exactly how much the spot for gold is. You have to understand this isn't as easy as if I was paying cash for it. Many more factors come into play for a trade like this, such as what rate are we going to value each bitcoin as. Because both gold and bitcoin prices are volatile, especially bitcoin, it makes this a little more tricky which is why I offered 3 BTC for it. A couple months ago he probably would have taken around 2 coins for it.

This brings me to my next question, Og will you accept cash for it? I think I would rather pay cash than end up kicking myself a month down the road when bitcoin price jumps back up.

So pick an Exchange (most likely Bitstamp) and just bid like the following:  $40 over spot @ stamp last. This keeps it simple...!

I have a brilliant uncirculated 1oz gold American Eagle coin that I may be willing to sell for BTC.  Looking for offers above the gold spot price.
