Question I have on all these coins, all Casascius, Lealana or whoever made the coins is why does the price of BTC affect the coin price. If you were to buy this Gilt coin a few months ago you were looking at 2.2 BTC all day long but now some claim its not worth that being BTC is up. I myself bought a ton of coins as a investment but basically what your saying is I should have just left it in BTC that as BTC rises coin values drop. Why isnt a coin that sold for 2.2 BTC months ago worth 2.2 BTC today? If you were to take a Gilt coin months ago at 2.2btc it had no BCC, BTG loaded either.

Thanks

Still available. I feel 2BTC is fair market value for this coin at this rating. If anyone is interested, please do PM me. Local would obviously be preferred.

Nice! That is a great find, and I am sure he is a reputable seller (as mentioned by others in this thread). Only downside, I do not believe this one on eBay was graded? So hopefully mine would pull a slightly better premium.

Valid point. The coin looks nice, but it’s not a graded 68 (at least yet)

One literally just ended on eBay and sold for 1.53BTC.. just an FYI. Of course the seller lost out on .23BTC in fees.

Can you share a link?

Sure thing!!

Ouch. The Casascius Silver Gilt and All Silver 1 BTC has, until now, managed to hold on to the majority of its' premium. Seeing one sell for 1.53 BTC (especially on eBay) is discouraging. Although it was only a matter of time before the premium on these started to be affected. I suspect it will get worse as BTC increases past $10k.

I couldn't part with one of mine for that. One day the rarity factor of these will catch up with them (with there only being 700). Once regular coin collectors become interested in crypto, then we should once again see a boost in premiums. That might be a while away.. Until then, its worth just hanging onto (if you don't need to sell).

He sold me Cas coins for a deal he probably regretted and I’d like to say he just doesn’t know the market but this was an auction and not a buy it now. When I saw what it went for I got a little sad inside that I wasn’t that last bid!

Also B I agree. With mints like the US producing mostly garbage nobody wants it’s been a drag on  the numismatic world. As a coin collector when I found Casascius and Kialara it complete reinvigorated my love for the hobby.

that guy already has one neg feedback for not selling the same coin so who knows if it sold this time
I had bid on the last auction and was second place and also bid this auction but before doing so I asked him what the deal was. The buyer left negative stating the seller wanted more money than the 10,100 it sold for but the seller claims the buyer didnt have the money and wanted him to wait until he had the money to complete the deal or something like that. who knows!!

That user sells a lot of crypto coins. Always thought it was a regular here.

Edit- ok now I realize that user sold me two Cas Coins a few months ago. Paid for insurance for me and was very happy with their customer service (for whatever that’s worth).

Bump. Looking to sell this beauty. Preferably local.

I will offer 1.5btc shipped with escrow or 1.6btc direct (bits or usd) if you meet me in the PNW USA.  Grin

Very tempting. Is the 2 - 2.5 ask too high? Or you just trying to get a good deal?  Huh

Stupid question, how did you reply and embed the image? I was trying to figure it out, but it didn't work in my original post?

You can just quote him to see how its suppose to be, but he used Img brackets too embed the image.

Good luck with the Sale!

Ya I tried that exact method, but for some reason it parses it as a URL instead... so strange!

Newbie rank cannot embed images in posts.

Ah didn't know that, thanks dazed!   my bad there  Lips sealed
