I'm also running a U3 behind it now, little bugger is having problems with cgminer 4.5+ >:
I just added my own personal made heatsink to the 333mh/s, so no heating problems will arise...

Peace out!

never looked at it this way , butt still have my old butterfly 35 gh/s , think i take it to work and let it mine solo 24/day , i still have to work

another 23 years so it could be possible to find a block

tanx for this great idea

I have mine running on a work computer... so, it cost nothing and it's a bonus if I find something.

Are you pointing at your own wallet or one of the solo mining pools that are out there?

I'm aiming at ck's pool right now with the little thing. Too lazy to setup the whole wallet process.

I'm hashing on that pool as well.  I had a bunch of Antminer U1 & U2 laying around plus 3 Antminer U3.  Only started a couple of days ago...  I have my own wallet setup, but I figured that I may have more luck using CKPool since they have a way of controlling the Diff.

i am gonna buy some u3s towards the end of august, where did you get yours ? and how much did you pay, also which psu ? Cheesy

I bought mine from an eBay seller and they came with individual power adapters.  The issue I have is that they keep going ZOMBIE in the newer versions of CGMiner and the version that BitMainTech supplies wasn't registering 3 devices; only one.

So as we know, another member found a block on his old S3, so I'm going to be running an old 333mh/s USB block eruptor for the next 21 million years.
This should give me reasonably enough time to find a block,  Grin
But seriously, if I find a block with this thing then you people will never hear the end of it!
Feel free to tickle my pickle for a nickel if you think this is a waste of time.

Yolo? Err, so yea.  Wink

ive got my 2 u2's (2.5 ghs each) point at nicehash solo pool, if i am lucky enough to find a block will put the 25 btc into primedice and go for a x50, rofl.. maybe my luck will continue Grin

Never be lazy. It's the sign of the idiot. Be "otherwise occupied". Smiley

Nice little way to warm gloves in the winter too with these little things, just plop a glove on it for a bit and flip before you head out and have it toasty (works better with 2 )
Or warming feet Smiley ( https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.11278097 )

Good luck to ye, Griff

Good luck!

At the end of the day running one of those USB miners costs next to nothing, and the payout of potentially finding a block would be huge!

Well its like being in the loto. You got be in it to win it or be in with a chance of winning. I remember the first days of LTC solo mining and was finding block after block with only 1 gpu now with time going on impossible due to the likes of asic technology but theirs no harm in having running solo might be lucky and find a block. All that is needed is a share to come though that is bigger than current and wallet you got your self a block of BTC and no doubt I would be the same if finding a block solo mining on it would never hear the end of it as well. All can say as others ahve too. Good luck in your adventure on finding a block Smiley
