Was that before or after you destroyed the buck circuit by feeding the 6V-rated parts with 8.5V?

Also, this is not a tech support thread. If you have questions, take them to the tech support thread.

this is a sales thread. you should post here instead, more people will see it:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/gekkoscience-compac-bm1384-stickminer-official-support-thread-1173963

read the 1st couple pages, lots of troubleshooting info there.

your problem might just be the voltage pot needs adjusting.

The last BM1384 Compacs [which aren't a big bulk order] from Run 2 are going out today (yes, I know I said they'd be shipped yesterday but I had a bunch of other stuff and forgot to go by the post office). Anyone who has not yet received their sticks yet, and who doesn't get a tracking number from me this afternoon, let me know.

Shipping more Compacs today. The rest of individual orders should go out today or Tuesday.

I will be doing another batch. However, HOWEVER, it's a bulk batch direct to resellers. So you'll have to hit up ASICPuppy, HolyBitcoin and BitcoinWare if you're gonna want some.

Parts have arrived. I will start building the remainder of Compacs as soon as I get the community miner prototype board finished, probably tomorrow or Friday. Most orders should be shipped out next week.

Sad story, but I kind of wonder what the "criminal" would do with this?
It's not that most of us are surrounded by people who mine bitcoin, but you never know.
Probably opened the box and tossed it out, unfortunately.

Well, it is kinda my fault. Like you said, if you'd had tracking to know it was coming in on such and such day you could have been there to meet it.

Maybe. But honestly I can't fault you for something a criminal did.

Yeah, by the time I'd have gotten to it was about the time it should have been delivered. The information I needed to connect the tracking number on the post office receipt to your email address is all at the shop, and I didn't get to the shop until Monday, and it should have arrived Monday or Tuesday.

Well I am out 30 compac sticks. It sucks because if I had that tracking number I would have made sure to be around to receive the package as I was pretty excited about it. Either the package was stolen or USPS delivered it to the wrong site. I talked with USPS and they basically said because there was no insurance or signature required there is nothing they can do. Not going to lie I am pretty upset about this.

Tell them you want to make an official complaint that it was stolen .

It is a matter of principal and that reporting the theft to them and the police whatever police handle the report is what you would like to do.
Go in person be nice be nicer be nicest.

They sticks cost you more then 500 usd. So they have to do the paper work if you insist.

Why bother you would be stunned that being really calm relaxed and super cool to them about making the report often the item turns up.

Insist that you want to know which postman worked that day and what he recalls about the shipment.

When in doubt ask for a complete set of rules and forms to report the theft.

I did make an official complaint with the USPS. I know the lady that delivers packages for USPS to my apartment very well. I order A LOT of packages. She double checked and she was working and delivered the package that day. She even has the GPS tracking on her scanner that shows that she physically was at my door step to deliver the package.

So it is clear that it was stolen. My apartment complex was notified and I filed a report.

Beyond calling the police, which would just result in a police report, there isn't much else I can do.

I am going to be setting up a security camera for my front door, as I get a lot of expensive packages and don't really want to deal with another stolen package.
Honestly it is not sidehack's fault in anyway, and I don't want to come off as implying that. He obviously did nothing wrong here. Even USPS delivered the package, so I can't really fault them. Just some asshole had to come and steal it.

Pretty sad as I had sold my S7 and other gear and was just planning to do small-time mining as my new job takes up most of my free time. Looks like I'll be getting out altogether now.

this guy will be easy to catch.. as im 100% sure he lives close enough by to see the mail man drop off the package..

just get a camera.. or two.. and set them up.. and mail yourself a few boxes. Wink

I love my security camera's there are a lot of good brands and the night vision is great if you go for a good quality camera.  After you set up your system aarons6 is right I would get some big amazon boxes and put them out every few day's and see if you get a bite.  Hopefully it was a sad and one time thing... but if not a big amazon box will grab interest.

Also another trick is security company signs.  I do have a security alarm system for my house and miners.  They are so effective most alarm companies have a limit you can order per year.  But if you get a lot of packages I would get a sign and put it by doorstep.  I think they are surprisingly effective.

Parts are now inbound and I'll be starting on the next bit probably middle of this week. The first order is a 100-unit for resale, so the rest of small orders won't hit until after that's ready which puts them at next week. Sorry, I've been pretty busy lately.

sweet.. thanks.

Baazu,
I'll put my s7 hosted by sidehack solo on CK pool for 24 hours.  If it hits we will split it 3 ways...myself, you and sidehack.  Hopefully his sticks find you.

Yeah me too. I've had one international package that needed tracked down, but have had no problems with domestics. I don't put additional insurance on domestic deliveries unless the buyer requires it.

There's really nothing else I can do for you right now, but if you give me a bit of time and it still isn't resolved by the post office I'll see what I can do about making it up with other goods and services.
