I have also read the news about this on Twitter, this makes an uproar.. we cannot deny that out there are still many who consider this "Pandemic" is a conspiracy and so forth. This makes many people concerned, as millions of people struggle to avoid this virus, some young people even make bets and consider this virus a joke..

Is it just me who feels that this is something that they should never be done? It feels like they are disregarding the virus just to start something they could bet their money. Or even some of them might wish that they are the one who gets covid19 first for the sake of receiving the pot. This is ridiculous.

The article states that they are "student kids", does this mean they are in junior or senior high since that proves they are so immature to do this. Who's in the right mind to start this invites and make this a gambling session. This is just bad, this is so horrible. I feel so sorry for those parents worrying sick about their children now not knowing they get that in purpose.

This is horrible, what's wrong with the world today? instead of helping everyone to combat this deadly virus, they found some way to entertain themselves with horrifying acts. these people, if they are really true to their motives, they need to be caught and sentenced to prison as soon as possible and also they need to send these guys to somewhere in the middle of the desert or to the worse prison in the world.
These students are still immature, they maybe on drugs that's why they are not thinking very well, they have education but it seems like they are not using what they learn in a good way, it's not the time to joke around and I think if they are just trippin, somebody has to tell them they are creating a serious crime here. But this is just horrible. If I wanted to some money, or badly and desperatepy needed it, I will be going out in purpose so that I will be contaminated by the virus to get the pot money. Another thing is that as far as I know medical personnels are making those people positive anonymous, so how will they prove that they are positive with the virus?

I actually lol'd at this the first time I saw this headline. I thought Man couldn't go any crazier, turns out I was wrong. I wonder why people are willing to go the extra mile to bet on something even if their life depends on it? Not only that but it can also harm other people around them if they are not careful. If they will do something rash, I wish that they do it on their own completely secluded from the rest of society. I don't even think that the money on the pot is enough to outweigh the risks involved in this type of thing. There is a high chance that these guys will have lungs that aren't 100% functional due to the pneumonia that comes with COVID-19, and it wouldn't be pretty for damn sure.

That feels like a movie setting where there will be someone that will organize a party like that. For me, that's the most evil thing that I heard about this Covid-19 pandemic. For the sake of fun, you will risk the lives of your college friends and schoolmates with the use of money.

Jackass? It's a dumb thing to do, risking your life just for the money.
After you won through bets, it will go to your medical expenses 'cause you're now suffering from short-breathing and positive in COVID-19.
The worst part is, it will spread into your home and neighborhood that will put your whole community at risk. Also, they're violating the government's order like social distancing which should always be implemented to avoid contact in a person who has COVID.

Some university students in Alabama were denounced to the authorities for organizing "COVID Parties". The organizers of the party invited people tested positive from COVID19 to transmit the virus to the attendees. It was about betting on who would be positive for the virus first. They put money in a pot and the first one to test positive took the loot.
Alabama has registered to date 40111 positive cases, recoveries 15974, new cases 996 and deaths 841.

This is a violation of health protocols so I presume that they will get compensate on what they do since it's so dangerous not only for them but the whole people who lives close to them as well they add on the problem of their society, This should be taken seriously by their government to serve as warning to the other people challenge the danger of covid-19 as well betting over it is also illegal so best to file a multiple case so that they will learn a big lesson on their lives.

Really crazy, it makes no sense what was done by a group of students in Alabama, some sources say this is indeed done, what they have run out of common sense, by inviting positive sufferers Covid-19, by throwing such parties and bets, it's really strange what happened in Alabama.
If they were aware of the Covid-19 problem, maybe they wouldn't do it. Alabama has the highest ranking right now that is suffering from a positive case of Covid-19, 985 deaths have been passed, Alabama has been made into hell by a group of students in the United States.

This is should be considered as a serious matter that should be sanction legally.
It's intentional and though I don't know exactly what's the law in the Alabama on their approach on the pandemic but this move was certain an opposite of preventing from people getting infected with covid-19.
It's like they are already desperate and they want everyone who will be infected and more of this cases will lead to bigger problems the government has to face and solve, I don't know what's running into their mind but I guess the government has to impose bigger sanction on this kind of offense.

These stupid bets are some weird things we would do as youth. I too had made bets on events that could potentially be hurtful. I remember be and my friends making bets like "5 bucks you won't make that skateboard jump" or "if you manage to climb that fence without hurting yourself I'll let you kick me in the nuts".
But it's monumentally stupid to involve yourself in something that could actively hurt others. This is really embarrassing for the US nation. I don't know what they are thinking in their head while other people who are victims of this pandemic are struggling for life. Doctors are doing their best to save as many people as they can and still, many can't survive. Betting to see who gets COVID19 first is ignorance and dumb. That's very immature of them. Everyone is afraid and being careful about the virus, yet they are making a contest who gets infected first for the sake of money. They are not only risking their lives, but they are also risking the lives of people around them. They do it for fun but it's not even funny at all since it is a serious matter. They are also not helping the government. Governments are having a hard time handling this pandemic but these students only see this for entertainment.

LOL it so ironic that they threw party yet still seemed that it can be harmless with self-quarantine? They did it for a purpose (a selfish and stupid one). Hence they would just participate for money but rather a death wish.
