BW.com is considering the support for SegWit (~8% hashpower)
https://twitter.com/www_bw_com/status/850147251972329472

Chandler Gao (co-founder or investor of BW) tweets support of Segwit on Litecoin https://twitter.com/ChandlerGuo/status/850141884425027585

Prohashing (currently 1.4% of hash power) says they can get up to 6% redirected to Litecoin and signal SegWit with it.

Clever mining (1.2% of hash) is signalling segwit.

Litecoin will be coming to OpenBazzar soon.

There is a tweet from F2Pool that they are going to withdraw support for SegWit on Litecoin when it reached 74.9%, these miners are now holding the space ransom. I think there is need to look for a possible way to break their grip on this coin

that makes no sense!
it is most probably done for trolling or even it is possible to have been an FUD case, we saw a rise to 0.011BTC and this thing with F2pool caused a dip down to 0.0079 and since it is rising back up now (0.0089BTC) i say it was a trick to buy some LTC for some short term profit.

besides i don't think they are going to ruin their reputation by doing something this crazy like pulling out after the 75%

even if it gets to 75%, you have to stay above for two solid weeks. i can imagine it might drag on for months with variance and various people screwing with everyone's mind.

They'll continue signaling but will pull out before activation.

Why? What is the point of signalling and then pulling out? Makes no sense.

Mining fees, and lots of them as people rush have rushed to get a slice of the action.
Ltc back to .00828000 we might see another rally = more fees, its a game now

Now it doesn't matter, without f2pool it's impossible to get enough hashrate, SegWit on litecoin is also dead.
who said F2pool is not supporting SegWit anymore? do you have a reference or is it your guess?!!
as far as i know f2pool never said anything about not supporting it and the evidence shows they are supporting it.
i don't know where to see the blocks and where they add the string but the percentage is still between 68% and 70% and without F2pool that percentage would have dropped down to 50% at least and then went down back to 30%

Good news is, the price increase might not be dependent on that.
well yeah but it wasn't ineffective either.

EDIT:
i found it and yes F2POOL is still signalling SegWit:

So, Is Wang Chun turn to the master of trolling? Looks like the Chinese were controlling litecoin.

Too many traders are lost in short.
It can be identical to what was happen on the bitcoin too.

so you ARE making a guess, because if you read the tweet it only talks about a concern about Litecoin becoming different code than bitcoin in case bitcoin never activates SegWit. that is a lot of ifs there.

also read the answer that Litecoin developer Charlie Lee gave him.

Not a guess, read his tweets: https://twitter.com/f2pool_wangchun

That stupid fuck must be trolling. He is a known troll that has joked before. He signaled for literally everything in bitcoin during 1st of april.

If he pulls out in 74.9% he's gonna catch a bullet by some pissed off guy that losses millions in the process thanks to his antics. We aren't dealing with tons of BTC, but some people are putting millions of dollars worth of LTC, those guys aren't going to be happy if he actually does it.

Well, he sure did a lot of money out of his little stunt and already a lot of people lost money when their 'margins' or 'shorts' whatever were called because of this.
