probably it's too hard to find a source for gambling news since it's illegal. But the information you will get will mostly be unreliable. There are tons of sites that are reporting news based on their own opinions and not facts at hand. This can greatly affect your decision making if you are betting on sports since you don't know if the info you got is true or not. Of course, I know that people still needs to confirm what they read by reading multiple sources, but if you have one reliable news source that you can go to, that will lessen that time that you need to spend in terms of reading.

You need to be specific, regarding what type of gambling news you are searching for?
Is it regarding sports events? I mean who won what match? Or about a particular person who gambles in a casino and won a specific amount?
If you are searching for the second category news that I have mentioned above, then let me tell you that, these types of news are less covered in main stream media. As gambling is not completely legalised in many countries.
Moreover you can get majority of the news and updates from the gambling site and sportsbook only. So there is no specific sites or newspapers required for these type of events.

we can't get much news about gambling as not many sites are promoting it. remember the negative connotation of gambling to most. so yeah, you're right, they are not keen on promoting the gambling activities because it has negative attachments to it.

Unfortunately, gambling news aren't really beneficial to most gamblers as most news and articles posted on these news sources are about gambling and casinos. Whereas, information that we needed are mostly about sport and games which is why sports and games news sources are much more useful. CNN, ESPN and other sports news source are what we need to gain advantages on our gambling activities.
Agreed. Most of gambling news is a general news which doesn’t directly i pact gamblers with there gameplay. The sports is a separate event because it’s not totally in gambling category. It’s just being use by bookmaker to set bets but the games itself is not related to gambling.
Most of the gamblers are only interested on promotion and giveaways news while those casino news is almost negligible for common gambler.
