This may be very good news. Does it mean spanish companies are required to accept btc now?  Smiley
Well i guess there are two kind of currency- a national currency and other currencies like foriegn currency. in a country no one can deny a payment being made in its national currency but its not necessary to accept other currencies and as btc isnt a national currency, so the spanish countries are not required to accept it as a payment, but if a company wants they can accept it as a form of payment.

HEy Hey HEY??
Well in my country what ive generally seen is that when the taxes are introduced, those taxes only tend to increase with time, they never decrease, and i dont think any country is going to ban bitcoin.

If we can have the power, then taxes can be abolished or reduced. Anyway... these taxes are applicable only when we convert our coins to fiat cash. If you don't want to pay tax, then keep your coins as such with you.  Grin
Well, i am not an expert with  tax issue but arnt there any taxes that we ll have to pay if we directly buy goods from btc?

Every world government deems bitcoin as something different. Most don't even know what to call it yet. The most absurd is the US government calling it property like a house.
Well i dont live in the us, but still whats wrong with calling btc a private property?

Are you serious? Do you really want to pay property tax and document everything when you make transactions in btc? You want the gov to freely categorize bitcoin into anything they please, when they should have no right to do so in the first place?
Oh yeah sorry! for a second i just forgot about the taxes, so why cant the govt. just consider it as a 'crypto' ?

Well as cryptos are generally decentralizes, so do you think that the government should be allowed to directly put taxes on it?

Right now, I think paying taxes on Bitcoins will be better than the government banning Bitcoins altogether. Later, when Bitcoin gets more and more popular, we can try to repeal the taxes.  Grin

HEy Hey HEY??
And there is another possibility of introducing a new tax just related to the cryptos.

That will be the best option for everyone, including the tax officials, miners and the short-sellers.  Grin We need laws specific to the Bitcoin. It will eliminate the complications associated with taxing the crypto.

The Dutch Government/judge announced a few days ago that Bitcoin isn't cash but a trading device. Guess the taxation will be different in every EU country.

HEy Hey HEY??
This is very good news because it avoids problems with VAT (IVA).

It might avoid VAT, but it will increase the tax-related complications for the Bitcoin miners. And another factor is that Bitcoin traders might have to pay the income tax, instead of the Capital gains tax.
And there is another possibility of introducing a new tax just related to the cryptos.
