The best adresses I have found so far are these addresses, because every letter has a meaning, no numbers except the 1 at the beginning and everything is in the order:

you can make as many as these addresses as you like by just choosing any sentence, placing 1 at the beginning (the sentence could start with word "one" replaced by number form "1" to have meaning) and computing its checksum. like this:
https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/1cantBothFeastAndBecomeRichydS3qJ
here is an online tool, go nuts: https://gobittest.appspot.com/ProofOfBurn
Yes, that's right so far!

However, note that EVERY address WITHOUT credit is not really immortalized in the Blockchain!

That means, with your method you can create any addresses, but you have no "private key"!  (Also called "burn-adresses")
Consequently, you can also send nothing from this address!

Because with today's technology it is extremely difficult up to impossible to calculate the right private key for these addresses...

With Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] you can calculate an address... but definitly with less digits and letters!

From current cause still another Burn address, which I'm sure you haven't seen yet:

Really, there are already so many special addresses. I keep coming across new addresses...

I also find the topic very interesting and entertaining, especially, in many cases, you think about the possible story behind the words.
Nobody writes something without a meaning behind it!

Cool story and I wonder, what are the odds for finding these addresses when using a CPU? It must be just crazy high actually. I wouldn't even know how to calculate it.

these addresses are known as Vanity addresses and are usually computed using a project called VanityGen https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/vanitygen-vanity-bitcoin-address-generatorminer-v022-25804 (although there are other projects too that perform similar acts).
the more the number of characters you want the more time it is going to take to find such an address. you can find many speed reports in that topic which could give you an idea of how hard it is to find one.

Hello TheArchaeologist, i have been using my 1BtcBoSS addy since 2014-09-01...and still active today, so the history of it is i made it with Vanitygen, wasn't easy to get a 7 chars addy with CPU but i could say i was lucky, i just start making addies starting with 1btc, and got some crazy random ones, 1BtcBoSS was one of them but i get 1BtcBigMc too. Was some kind of jackpot game with vanity gen.

I don't want to post my address here because i feel that's against the rules, but if someone wants to see it is under my profile.

Cool story and I wonder, what are the odds for finding these addresses when using a CPU? It must be just crazy high actually. I wouldn't even know how to calculate it.

Do you still control all of these addresses and do you still do them nowadays?

I'm looking for addresses with some kind of story..
hell they don't have to be vanity addresses at all as long as they come with a good story attached to them!
On that note, I would like to mention the address behind the "Bitcoin Pizza Day" story: 1XPTgDRhN8RFnzniWCddobD9iKZatrvH4

Story:

In addition to that, there are a few interesting addresses in the following thread: The Top Bitcoin Donation Addresses

Hm, this is very interesting thread for me. Since I have never seen such addresses before! Not that I have not heard of it, but so many examples up here that it amazed me.

So by looking at the Vanity word here I searched about it and also ended up on site here : BitcoinVanityGen

Tried my name with it but it says it will take from a minute to several hours to generate my address.
Be very careful, BitcoinVanityGen is a known scamsite, people lost Bitcoins.
Reference here:

BITCOINVANITYGEN.COM STOLE MY BITCOINS!!!!!!!!!!!!

bitcoin stolen from the address generated by bitcoinvanitygen.com

I would only use original and proven tools:

Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22]
VanitySearch (Yet another address prefix finder)

I think this thread has an unexpected twist on the idea of your OP, but it has been interesting to read the directions that have been shown.

For a moment I thought that maybe, that OP wants to see some addresses with strange, curious or funny messages like the ones that have been shown. Or maybe just a story associated with the owner of the public address, as simple as that.

I think that one of the most horrendous addresses that exist, is the international Sicilian network of Hitmen, in reality it is not linked to any murder but with various intentions and that they have paid up to $ 12,000  to murder ex-partner. In the strange reality it is good to know that these sites are a scam.

Quote from: dupageco.org
An investigation into the matter, led by the Woodridge Police Department, revealed that Jones paid the Sicilian Hitmen International Network more than $12,000 via bitcoin to have the wife of the man with whom she had an affair murdered.
Source: https://www.dupageco.org/States_Attorney/States_Attorney_News/2019/61299/

In reality, any address linked to such sites are special, as they are linked to sites that offer murder services, but the most incredible thing is that they receive funds to carry out murders with real intentions.

- As for other types of special addresses are those linked to celebrities, highlights that of Gerald Cotten, $ 190 million. His secret key died with him. In this case the special address is not public, it is private.

Check this old thread out: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/rare-address-hall-of-fame-90982

Apparently there's this address that's sort of a "burner" address: 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE

and weirdly enough, it has 13.24 BTC in it. While I don't get the need for such address, it sure is interesting. Especially knowing that people are actually still sending some sats to the address. Like damn send it to me instead lul.

Jesus, it must have taken some serious computing power to generate that vanity address.

Or did it arise some other means? Like, was it built into the Bitcoin, similar to the Ethereum burn address (0x*)

Edit: found out how it arose, more information available here:

I have here a very descriptive contribution from a great guy from our german subforum, with which even a PC newbie can create his own address!
I am sure about that... if you want to try it just follow the instructions step by step:

Reading this one, but would be nice if someone explains the backend process.

Ok, I will do so in short:
An address (at least in this context) is just a different representation of a public key. In order to generate an address you need a private key, which is used to generate a public key, which in turn is presented as a bitcoin address using base58 encoding:

Private Key -> Public Key -> Address
Keep in mind that getting from Private Key to Public Key is a one direction operation. So you can generate a Public Key from a Private Key but not the other way around.

The only way to find an address is starting with specific characters is by bruteforcing, trying candidates until you find one that matches.

Simplified:
Code:
Target: I want an address starting with 1beer...
Random Value used as Private Key -> Public Key -> Address = 1ztyx...
Random Value +1 used as Private Key -> Public Key -> Address = 15b7..
....
Random Value + 123102931 used as Private Key -> Public Key -> Address = 1beer...
The found address starts with the target so we are done.
Each extra character gets exponentially harder to find, so the longer your target, the longer it will take to find if at all possible.

I wanna know What is the play here and How do they do it?

Is it some sort of algorithm that generate thousands of address to end up with my letters at start OR i am not even close to what it is?

Edit :

Can someone show me how to generate this story address with my name, something like 1lordhermes3cv............. would be good for me, lol. I'm really impressed.
What you are looking for is a tool to generate Vanity addresses. Check these threads:

Note: having a dedicated GPU is a must have for longer sequences of letters.

I'm assuming you were just being ironic about this.  Grin Cheesy

I didn't want to attract the attention of any more 'rule keepers'. As you know, I have my experiences with that...  Wink
So I decided to change the address a bit less offensive with a * to hide, because some of here may find that kind of 'fun' disturbing, objectionable or whatever!
