here's my idea about the freebet:

what if, we all pick someone to receive the freebet every week, then this person has to place the freebet in a single or multi bet with odds close to the numbers of participants who submitted their MM picks the week before? for instance, last week, 11 users submitted their MM picks according to @tyKiwanuka 's table, so this week the user with the fb will have to place it in a 11.00 odds (or close to that) event. This way, if it hits, the user can split the winnings with the rest of the MM participants (5mbtc in 11 odds event = 55 or so mBtc. 55mbtc / 11 users = 0.005 mbtc to each users personal wallet).

Trofo great point. We go only for 1.5 odds and above, and 5-legs to enjoy free insurance, and keep it simple to 1x2 markets yeah? I'll reserve my insurance to make this bet...

You forgot to add Matip to score and Ederson to score on your bet builder. That should boost the odds nicely

We don't have to do the same thing every week so we can try something this week and then repeat or scrap it for the next.
I sort of like the idea to put money on the games we all find consensus in the table but that puts pressure on tyKiwanuka to make the table on time and you to play the ticket before first game starts.

If we decide to go that route I propose we say 75% is enough of consensus and remove all the games with odds lower than 1.3. That way we will capitalize on sportsbet boost and avoid loosing the ticket on some big favorite which is absolutely the worst way to loose ticket.
If we go this way we are limited with the games and we can only play 1x2 market but it sort of stays in the spirit of MM.

If we go with leagues tyKiwanuka is delegated to Bundesliga and we don't accept no for an answer If I have to choose something my game will be from Premier League.

OK guys, so I put it down on a Liverpool vs City on Sunday bet builder:
- City to win 1st half, Liverpool to win 2nd half
- Liverpool to win and 2.5 goals
- 3.5 goals in match
- Salah to score any time
- Booking points under 69
- City over 3.5 corners
- Liverpool over 4.5 corners
Total odds: 120/1.

Just kidding. What do you guys want me to do with it? I like the idea of putting it on Watford/Arsenal/Southampton/Flamengo but also like the idea of picking one good match from each of the Big 4 leagues (Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, EPL). Problem with me is I don't like anything below 1.5, and prefer to go for at least one underdog, so, tell me, gentlemen.

I have an idea.

Select one or two users who we all trust. They will receive the free bet from sportsbet to bet for all of us. They will share the betslip with us to make everything transparent.

How we will select the markets?

With this free bet we will play a multibet together. Let's not take to much risk. We will have one team from following big leagues:
English premier league
Serie A
France Ligue 1
Germany Bundesliga and
LaLiga


In our group some are good at picking winners from EPL, some are good at Serie A etc. Those who are good at picking their own home leagues will nominate a team. For example: I will feel comfortable to pick a team from PL. So I will contribute on EPL. Like these other four guys will nominate their teams from their local leagues. The reason of picking local leagues for the users is because you will have much information than others about it. So hopefully the chance of winning the nomination will be higher too.

Not sure how you guys will like it but I think this way we will have everyone to have a good conversation and chances of winning some good money from the free bet is also possible.

There are a lot of great ideas suggested on what do we do with the Free Bet and I'm good with what the majority would choose in the end.

If we need to "vote" on something, I'd still go with buway's "$50 for the top/shared". Much simpler (thanks Trofo for pointing out the hole in "$25 $15 $10 to top 3 each week" option)

Just a funny thought!
How about sharing the Free bet between the lowest scoring guys. I mean those who will have lowest correct number of picks they will share the free bet LOL. Think about a situation where a lot of users are making picks to lose their tickets 🤪

Well I have something. Let's use the entire 50$ FB to bet on sportsbet partner clubs (Arsenal, Southampton, Watford, and Flamengo). The one who will get the best no. of correct outcomes in takes the FB and makes selection. In case of same no. of correct outcomes by multiple users they can just decide and come to an agreement to make picks. If the FB is a win then the amount goes to a pot lets say "Bitcointalk MM group pot" and we can share it equally, or hold a lotto based on participation at the end of the season. We can also add some rules like minimum of participation of x MM rounds is needed to be eligible for the pot.

It will be fun cheering and betting on SB partners and we also can attract some more MM particpants here to discuss here.

Yeah the tie breaker would be a problem. Here's another idea

$35 for the top correct pick, $10 for the pool multibet and $5 for random participants randomly picked? This way we will be able to avoid the lousy tiebreaker as probably only one or two people make it with the top correct picks


Yes exactly this so instead of individual multibet this will be consensus multibet with everyone involved. Everyone can pour in ideas or some 'sure win' bet or some other thing. This might seems like a bit of extra work to do but to get atleast 50x odds in multibet is not that hard. Probably around 8 -10 bets will get us over 50x odds.

Another idea --  but I won't make anymore so this doesn't become a mess of ideas haha.

Once we made all our picks, we see a consensus bet (using ty's cool table) and choose a person to make a parlay with SB based on consensus picks. So it's a sort of "crowd wisdom" parlay, assuming we're all wise and intelligent footballing experts (lol).

I go with whatever is decided though, but I will delegate my vote to someone if that's needed (probably Trofo at the moment just because;) ).

If we go for this rule I will never win a tie break and same goes for anybody waiting until last moment to get max info about line ups. Not a problem for me, I am playing for big prize and will not be swayed by this chance to win a free bet. For instance PSG is playing today without half of the squad and odds on them have been rising for last few days. They have come from big favorites to underdogs in the game vs. Leipzig. If I was picking result of this game few days ago I would have gone for PSG, today I would have chosen draw or Leipzig.

It is easy solution and I actually believe we should keep it simple and I don't have a better idea which is easy to implement other than, just spread 50$ among all the guys with max number of correct choices.

Sounds good with the proportionally shared between the top 3.


This is much better than having a tie breaker.

You guys want to make this much more interesting? Here's my crazy idea

We give $20 $20 to top two and we put the $10 into someone we can trust from this thread (rdbase, Tyki or Trofo might fit for this) and let that guy make a multibet for all of us with atleast 50x odds in that slip and if it wins, the amount will be shared equally among everyone that participated

Everyone that participate in this thread could help up picking the best bets for the multibet and I think this is great because this is totally risk free 'freebets' from sportsbet.io. So either we go big with this or we go home with nothing, It wont really change anything at all but Imagine hitting 100x odds with $10 then share it equally among everyone that participate

Well, this could be arrange accordingly if there are same correct picks with other users then then the first users who made their guess will be the winner not really needed to go with tie breaker because that will consume time and if we will going to consider share the win 15$ isn't good enough to be shared if there are 15 users with the same number of correct picks. So, if my suggestion will be follow pretty sure that many users will going to standby and wait in every event to be made to make a guess and hopefully will win.

Sounds good in theory but we will often have several users with same number of correct picks. Therefore if we go for top 3 we will have to think about introducing some tie breaker. It is much easier if just have a 50$ for the winner, in case there is more than one than equal shares for everybody with the highest number of correct picks.

Does not matter what we decide in the end, I am fine with anything. This is just another nice perk that adds even more to this thread and our own personal MM competition.

@Steve!!!! What the h***? This is really good news. With all that's happening in the world right now, you guys still don't forget to give back to your customers/community here. I know everyone in this thread will be thrilled about this.  

@buwaytress I agree with your proposition. "$25 $15 $10 to top 3 each week, or $50 for the top/shared" will be very fair for us and I'd like to go with this format.
