Sabalenka said she would buy everyone in the crowd a drink if she won her first U.S Open title.
So she did and which one was she going to buy them all? The one with gray goose vodka and those yellow melons carved to look like tennis balls? They cost $24usd each!
During the match an announcer mentioned that would be around a $500,000 bar tab at the venue in New York.
So about half a million for drinks would be a deep cut of her final's prize money.
But I don't think Aryna would mind since she had won it in straight sets so now is ready to party!
Damn! That's a lot of money wasted on drinks. Grin I bet the fans are surely happy and their cheer was all worth it.

It's a sweet win for her. Last year she was defeated by Coco Gauff and the years before that she was just entering the semis, so emotions really burst out when she finally reached the top.
She said it had always been a dream of her to win that tournament and claim that trophy and now she did it.

Interesting match coming up, I had Sinner in the final, but I didn't have him as the winner, so the fact about his "injury" wasn't in the plans but it could help, : ) now, as things are and seeing that point where he supposedly gets injured, I think he won't have any problems winning.

By the way, that winning point against Draper excites anyone who appreciates the exciting moments of sports, even if they're not a big tennis fan.

Taylor Fritz beat Tiafoe and Sinner beat Draper.
So the men's final will be Sinner vs Fritz tomorrow while today we have the women's finals for the U.S Open:
Sabalenka vs Pegula

Should be a great US Open as there are now two Americans for each finals!
Aryna Sabalenka is the favorite in this game. In 3 hours, we will be seeing these Finals happen. Both are really good and I think this will be an entertaining game.

Fritz vs Sinner should also be an entertaining match but I think I will stay away from betting on that since it will be a toss up since Sinner had a tumble during yesterday's match against Draper so he might be feeling it by tomorrow.
How can a tennis player fare not completely 100% especially the way he fell during the semi-finals match?
Here are the markets for the U.S Open men's final:

The Buffalo Bills have something to say for Jessica Pegula

https://x.com/BuffaloBills/status/1832433646340362409

She is the underdog and she might need all the motivation he can get from all the people and players that support her. I say good luck to her too but I am taking a pass on betting in this game. I'd rather enjoy watching it. Yeah, I am scared I might lose my bet.  Cheesy

Yes I agree with you there. I was just starting to get into the season but then it is taken away for two weeks due to break in-play.
Atleast we have these tennis matches you been having some success with in WTA/ATP.
I had put in this bet for the U.S Open in the quarter-finals:

Let's see who advances to the semis.

If women's tennis is a tough one, the truth is that this week I see some "gains" in the US Open Men/Woman Singles, more than in this round of national team football that also includes my region, not just Europe, these things shouldn't happen, we get excited about the leagues and they take them away from us so quickly.  Smiley

Would rather put my faith in Newcastle than Tottenham when it comes down to it in the last matchday to score points actually.
Even though they scored four against Everton, Bournemouth scored three goals to beat Everton last weekend to snatch a two goal victory from them in the 87th, and two after the 90th minute. So they are even worse

Lesson learnt I guess not to trust Spurs ever again

The next jackpot is on 14th September, I guess Sportsbet intend to set it to run for the whole EPL season. I thought it would be changed to international games this week. Thats works better for me in keeping track of my profit for the entire season then.

well... terrible weekend with the PL, my recovery should be at the US OPEN, ..., I think so... I've gone into the 'field' with the following combination (multibets) or better to say; that was my `'salad' of bets:

Damn thats alot of bets there. Im glad that you won. Its women tennis anyway so thats pretty much the safest bet to bet on either Swiatek or Sabalenka

Never trust Spurs. That is rule in putting any sort of confidence of an EPL club that bottles it worst and worst year after year. Do you see any fans of this team anymore on the forum? I haven't. Once they gave up Kane that was their downfall. Son is left alone to fend for himself.
Anyways, enough about depressing sorts as there is not going to be a Jackpot this week from an international break.
Actually between Newcastle that hasnt been dominant for the last two games prior to the Sunday game and Tottenham that scored 4 goals against Everton, I thought it would be wise to pick Tottenham over Newcastle but I guess they are shit after all. I shouldnt have really trust them in the future if they are playing against a top team I guess

Great victory on that betslip as Sabalenka rolled Zheng in convincing fashion blanking her 2-0 to make your ticket a successful one!
Very nice over 3x is always nice to see come through for such a long acca too!

I wanted to let y'all know about the American football pool that is sponsored by Sportsbet.io.
In case you ain't noticed, I'm here to point ya in the right direction: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sportsbetio-nfl-pick-em-prediction-pool-2024-signup-thread-5507483
Sportsbet.io was generous enough to add 2k USDT to the prize pool, and a weekly 1mBTC free bet.  Mighty generous.
Now shuffle your boots on over, and get signed up.  It'll be a hootin and hollerin good time.

Good luck with your pool. NFL is not really my cup of tea and I've been on some other pool this season, its getting tricky trying to remember wether I have submitted my predictions on those pool or not so yeah Im skipping this but good luck  Smiley

Paid and in! Thanks for putting this one together DireWolfM14!

I'm still undecided about the NFL pick em contest, but i'm trying to stack my winnings for an entry fee before the Chiefs and Ravens match on Thursday since I got a couple of free bets from last week's promotions (Pick 4 Win and Rapid Fire).
It does seem to be a variation of the PigSkin Pick'em from ESPN Bets:

So if it is something like this, as I have joined in of seasons past from my group of NFL degens, it should be fun.
Entry fee is $29 as of bitcoin's price currently being $58,000. Tt is still a low amount to manage.
DireWolfM14 had mentioned on one of his thread's in reference to this pool he will be accepting late members until Sunday.

~
No worries.  Get your payment in as soon as you can, but the deadline to join isn't until the morning of Sunday September 15th.  Even if you miss predictions for the first week and the Thursday night game of week 2, you'll still have a good chance to perform well in the pool.  Good predictions during the playoffs will more than make up for missing some during the regular season.

So 7/10 correct is claiming of the $100usd prize, once again paid out within 45 minutes of the last match closing and in bitcoin, the currency I used to enter into the Sportsbet's Jackpots promotion.

I'm glad at least I ended my first Sportsbet Jackpot with a prize as I got 5/10, Liverpool saved me from walking away with nothing.

That was a difficult round and Im glad that you guys got something from this round

As for me, it was 4/10 so yeah I lost there but well considering the amount that I have gotten so far then Im still profiting decent amount

As for the last 3 games on the previous I had Chelsea to win, Tottenham to win and draw between Manchester United - Liverpool so thats kinda sucks there. 1 more point then I would have gotten atleast $10 back. I shouldnt have trusted Spurs there lol  Smiley

Blame Igebotz for that. Grin  Just kidding of course.
Chelsea scoring 6 goals in their last match caused us to believe to much in their abilities and even fooled the sportsbooks into it since they gave them @1.66x odds prematch.

Since they ended in a 1-1 draw I changed the Liverpool result from a draw into a win for them and they delivered.
So I managed to get a better prize amount instead:

I deserved the blame for jinxing it for everyone, got fooled after 45mins, didn't know we were going to be ass in the second half. Lol another bad weekend for the London clubs( Chelsea, Wastham, Arsenal and Tottenham). All dropped points.

I also picked Chelsea and Newcastle, it sucks that Chelsea let us down.

I'm glad at least I ended my first Sportsbet Jackpot with a prize as I got 5/10, Liverpool saved me from walking away with nothing.

Once I got my prize, I tried doubling with the upcoming matches (PSG and Real Madrid) and was lucky they won their matches so my entry fee is all good for the next round.
