I really dont know why Brasil its the favorite against Argentina by the bookies.

I cant understand, because this its the best Argentina in a long time, we have 36 games undefeated (only one to match the world record), we are the actual champion of Copa America, defeated Brasil in his own country. So..... i dont understand why its this. Plus i dont see this Brasil so good compared with other World Cup.

And the FIFA ranking its trash, only can be usefull to make some groups but its not a good tool when you enter in the top 20.
Argentina is undoubtedly one of the favourites, as they beat mighty Brazil in the last Copa America final to win the title.  Moreover, this World Cup is considered to be the last World Cup for Messi.  In that case, we wish Argentina to face in the final.  It would be great if this World Cup was special for Messi.  FIFA released a ranking list on October 6, 2022, with Brazil at the top of the list, Belgium in second place, and last year's Copa America champions Argentina in third place.

https://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranking/men?dateId=id13792
However, we have seen before that whatever we support Brazil or Argentina but these teams cannot survive in the end. The same situation happens every time in the World Cup. I deserve Argentina's performance before this year's World Cup is the greatest ever. I agree with you that Brazil and Argentina have more potential. But the temperature in Qatar seems negative for these teams to me. It is not possible to get a good idea of the playing conditions until a match is played. The desired season will start with today's match.
The environmental problem in Qatar will be difficult for all parties from Europe and America region.  Being located in the Asian continent, the weather in Qatar is generally a bit warm.  As a country in the Asian continent, Japan will perform slightly better, while Saudi Arabia will do slightly better as a country with a hot climate.  But these two teams will not be able to qualify for the semi-finals or finals.  So I would close the list of teams like Brazil, Argentina and France as possible finalists.  So Brazil-Argentina, no matter how warm the environment is, their chances of reaching the final are very high.

All the love has come for Brazil (4.40) and Argentina (6.50) .. but can we really rule out FRANCE? @8s
Never rule out France Wink
In one of my Sportsbet prediction pools I am predicting that France will win World Cup playing in final with Brazil.
They don't have very good results before world cup but they perform best when it's needed and they have great players for this task.
I am not fun of Brazil but Brazil is a very favorite team in this World Cup.  Every Brazilian player has performed very well for different clubs. So many have predicted that Brazil will perform in the finals of the Qatar Football World Cup.
If the teams at the top of the points table were arranged in different ways, Brazil, Argentina, and France would all face one of the three teams in the final.

However, this World Cup is the last World Cup for football wizard Messi, so I wish Argentina to advance to the finals in this World Cup.

I definitely don't think everyone adjusts to Qatar humidity. I know for a fact it's a very different environment to play in that kind of heat plus humidity, you need months to acclimatise.
All teams will have some time to adjust, but most of them came to Qatar earlier.
First few rounds we are going to see who likes Qatar climate most, but quality will prevail in later stages.

Japan to win the World Cup? I hope he has lots of money because that looks like a direct donation to the sportsbet.io Christmas Party Cheesy Cheesy

It’s very unlikely but would be great for him to win. Would be an epic win for sure!
Some of you may remember Greece winning the Euro’s in 2004. We also had Leicester win the PL title in 2015/16 against all the odds.

This is football, XI mean on each team, anything can happen.
I don't know which is better in the end to be honest, direct donations like that or indirect donations like we all do from time to time, or an indirect donation from betting on Spain and seeing them trip to Argentina or Brazil later Wink

Nothing beats Leicester 5000x odds, so I guess we shouldn't think 251x is impossible!
Is it me, or are those odds gone? This year I was looking for my nation’s odds, and the worst team had 550 or something, or maybe 750 I am not sure, then I checked all leagues that I cared about, like a dozen of them in all places and couldn't find a single place with 5000 odds, maybe that’s my mistake, maybe I didn't see it, but is that even possible anymore?

I just feel like Leicester was a once in a million years thing and it will not happen again, it would be very near impossible. This was the team that barely got a promotion recently, on a league as tough as premier league, becoming champions when everyone assumed they would relegate, that’s just not possible. Like Wolves or Southampton this year to become champions suddenly, or Norwich being champions last year, that’s just not realistic and yet it has happened.

It's hard to expect France to win the title twice in a row after they won it in 2018. In 2022 many people believe Brazil or Argentina will win the title, but what's wrong if someone believes France can also and they bet on them.

They're really good, I agree, but they've been getting their aging forwards to carry the battle for far too long, and midfield now is nowhere as good as their missing stars. Finalists maybe, but more Christmas party donations? =D
Lol, I believe your last point may be true in the end. But nothing seems to stop these guys from having fun.

Are any of you sure about England?  Cheesy

Hi Guys,

All the love has come for Brazil (4.40) and Argentina (6.50) .. but can we really rule out FRANCE? @8s

I know they are missing a couple of players, but the talent pool there must be massive...  Huh Huh

Does this guy know something we don't?   Shocked Shocked

They're really good, I agree, but they've been getting their aging forwards to carry the battle for far too long, and midfield now is nowhere as good as their missing stars. Finalists maybe, but more Christmas party donations? =D

And Ghana did their job against a pretty damned good Swiss side too Wink Agree a brave punt should be on an African side, and I put down a bit on Senegal actually at 138/1
And Ghana is worst rated African side in this competition while Sengal is highest rated. Not that it means much when the show starts. That being said I don't feel like Senegal can recover from loosing Mane. Especially now when he is going on surgery and won't even be with the team. Sarr is good player but nowhere near good enough to step into Mane boots.

Yeah, and if you watched them (and even Egypt who's not playing) in Afcon, the quality of matches overall was so poor, you can't seem them really compete against World Cup teams. Then again, it's a entirely different style of play, different expectations and game management (the most important aspect in Qatar IMO), it's not easy to really imagine how teams will play until the first few rounds get underway.

African teams always made some big surprises in first round of previous World Cups, so it's possible this could happen again.
I don't expect Ghana to win the trophy but they could mess things up for Portugal and Uruguay, I just don't know how everyone will adjust to Qatar climate and time zone changes.
What do guys think, about one national team that will be biggest surprise in this world cup?

During AFC, I took home a lot of money on Qatar. They were an unknown team, practising behind closed doors, and with a cool Spanish coach that actually for a "young" team has won quite a lot since he took charge. I don't think they're that dangerous any more as an unknown, but they have the most stable unit - a coach that practically built this current team for 10 years, who already have a bit of experience winning in Asia and Concacaf, and could definitely pull off the first upset tomorrow against Ecuador, but they are still very poor at game management -- something the South Americans and Europeans are masters of.

After what happened with Ronaldo, which came out of the blue for me, I suspect it could also cause Portugal to stumble. Amazing talents but until they purge Ronaldo they can't play to the formation that truly takes on the strength of their team -- so yeah, they could get pipped by Ghana, sho knows.

I definitely don't think everyone adjusts to Qatar humidity. I know for a fact it's a very different environment to play in that kind of heat plus humidity, you need months to acclimatise.

So I'm not 100% sure about upset teams, but I think a couple of giants could miss out on KO and give their places to 3rd seeds like Japan, South Korea, Ghana, even 4th seed like Qatar. Germany, Portugal, Croatia are my favourites for missing out but I picked them all to progress anyway!

Can't believe its starting! I dislike all the drama that went with the host, but I still like it because its world cup and its so rare and far in between that we see the best nations from all over the world to get together and play. Europe and Latin America always had a big advantage but its getting closer if you ask me, yes other teams are not close yet but its closer than all the previous years nad could see some wins. I feel like this is going to be so much fun, I am going to wager on the first game as Qatar, home teams always have a big advantage, and we have heard some other stuff as well, could be an easy bet if they are all correct.

Tomorrow is the first day of the World Cup Qatar vs Ecuador match.  Both the teams are almost equally strong and the performances of both the teams are almost the same, which team do you want to win tomorrow's game and what do you understand by predicting the result of tomorrow's game?  Can Qatar win tomorrow or draw?  Are you willing to bet on tomorrow's World Cup first match from Sportsbet?  I am personally going to start my World Cup betting journey with a small bet on the opening day of the World Cup
I think its ganna be draw, 1-1 or 0-0 is my score prediction. I dont like betting under goals soo I'm ganna watch the game without betting

I'm really excited about World Cup but also going to miss about 5 days of it in a few days, going on a semi long vacation which I last did in 2019 when I used to do it all the time Smiley

But will try to sneak at Sportsbet on phone a few minutes a day lol.

This is my betting history for England at sportsbet.  I am not really interested in showing my history.  However, since you asked for it, I showed it.  But I don't want anyone to see my money amount so I have hight with  color. I am sorry for that. The World Cup is an interesting game so I am looking forward to it.  Only 3 days left for the start of the World Cup.  From then on, the betting will flow

It's not about showing history or money amount, fine to leave that out like you did, it's just to show others the odds they can get at sportsbet and that we are actually putting money down.

Good luck to all of us here, and nice shirts everyone who shared!!

He should convert 95% of it into bitcoin & withdraw it all to a hardware wallet. He should enioy the rest of the World Cup & maybe play with the rest of the money @ sportsbet.io
Hey, when you’re on a roll, you’re on a roll.

Not sure what the guy was expecting, but it was the most likely choice based on the team ratings. But still, in my opinion the victory will not be easy because basically matches between national teams like this are very unpredictable.

What should he do then? HODL?   Cool Cool
Maybe, he will wait for 2025. Lol
