I think cancel culture if I am not mistaken happens some time after the fact so if this is what happened to him then it was very quick and he did the move first before people started questioing. Remember already he was not at Chelsea for a long time because UK government itself never approved his visa in last few years. It was only last year he went to London again using his Israel passport. So the cancel thing probably just kept pushing him out.

Chelsea was his plaything, for sure. I do not know if he loved it the way we do,,, but he for sure did not love the managers  Grin
I would guess that he just didn't want to deal with the headache and that's all. He could be in London or not but he was the owner on official papers and that's what matters. He made some big splash transfers and he won some cups and he did what he wanted to do with the club and now he probably just didn't want to deal with any of this. He is known to live on his yacth, and by yacht I mean floating castle basically, and he will probably just rest of this days doing whatever he wants with the amount of money he has.

When you are that wealthy, when you are at a wealthy level where you could literally do ANYTHING you want, like straight up buy netflix as a whole instead of just subscription level of wealthy, then these things do not matter all that much to you anymore.

Some cups? Haha I think he has won every single thing with Chelsea, the Club World Cup was the last cup he needed to complete his collection,,, hence he can boast to everyone that he alone took Chelsea from almost nothing to winning every single thing there is to win and in only less than 20 years.

So this is something that money can help you to get but not guarantee,,, anyone can go and buy netflix, but ask Manchester City and PSG especially (and maybe now Newcastle) if winning trophies matter to their club owners. For sure it does Smiley

Is anyone watching Liverpool against Inter tonight in Champions League?
They need to wake up fast, Inter is leading with one goal and things can get serious if they score one more.
Inter just got red card and it would be big miracle if they manage to score again and progress in next stage.

Ask UEFA to please play these games at 4pm and MAYBE I can stay up to watch  Grin

Southampton took points from City, they can do it again in FA cup and make sure they win penalties Wink

I believe that Abramovich was given the cancel culture treatment basically. Doesn't mean that he was forced, but it was basically about the nations and governments being a risk for him. If he sells it, then he recoups his money back, which he said would give the profits to people who need it because of this war. So all in all I am guessing is that there should be a bit of involuntary situation about this. Doesn't mean that he had no other choice, but doesn't mean that he prefered this netiher. He just "had to" sell it, even though he didn't want to, but wasn't forced to either. Dude really loves his club, he spent god knows how much so far, and took a team with very minimal success, and turned it into a big name in the world of football. Why would he get out now?

Huge game today with the Manchester Derby. It’s not very often I want Man Utd to win a game of football but needs must. I am definitely rooting for them today, it’s unlikely they are good enough to get anything at The Etihad but I always hold hope, even in the most unlikely scenarios Wink
Manchester City is far superior this season and I think that Ronaldo was not playing for Man United, same as Cavani, that was a big blow.
I know you wanted City to lose because of Liverpool, but you will have chance for FA Cup trophy, next round Liverpool is playing with Nottingham.
It is possible to see direct clash of Liverpool with Man City in FA Cup if they pass over Southampton, but I am supporting Saints to win Smiley

It is cool to see Southampton and Sportsbet.io to support Ukraine together. I saw it all around premier league, last I remember Liverpool fans had the "you'll never walk alone" Ukraine flags and all that as well. It is great that the whole premier league is supporting Ukraine, even basically kicking off Abrahimovic as well, which was something I did not expected to be fair.

All in all I could get into a lot harsher political comments about this situation, like the Newcastle deal and how horrific that is. But I am not going to, this is a good moment, and sportsbet.io is now on the right side of humanity and showed their stance, which is a great thing and kudos to all of you guys.

I do not think anyone kicked off Abramovich (you must be thinking or mixing up with Zlatan instead  Grin ) he himself knew the situation was too hot to handle so he looked for a buyer (after failing to give it to trustee).

In fact,,, it seems the Chelsea fans were all singing his name to the point Tuchel was not happy they did not stand with the Ukraine solidarity.

There is no "right side" to humanity, there is just humanity and I am so proud to be playing at a casino that is human Smiley

Shout out to Club Talk peeps, awesome as ever. Didn't mind getting the very nice 0.5mbtc freebet from the question-picking, unfortunately was absent during the actual Behind the Bet! Will watch for sure this week.

For those who didn't see last night, Sportsbet.io's Joe and Southampton Team worked on an initiative to donate 3,000 Yellow and Blue Southampton Scarves for 3000 Supporters at last night's Southampton and Aston Villa Match.

A great show of support for the situation going on in Ukraine.

Great to see, and this only a symbolic follow-up to the matching donation campaign  -- hope that one turned out well too -- some coincidence that Saints away kit also came up the same colours!

Yeah, me rooting for Everton last week and then now United. So strange, I wonder how they must feel, knowing that if they do well, we do better.

May the force be with Penaldo and Penandes.

And Gooners silently creeping up the charts too, Saka (I like this guy for some reason) scoring, assisting, giving ex-gf some soul-searching hopefully Wink

Boreham Wood is not even a League Two team, National League.  Grin
Oh yes you are correct, winner of national league is getting promoted to League Two Smiley
Coming this far in FA Cup and knocking out top Championship club Bournemouth was sensational, and I think they are all happy in club with this result.
Maybe some players will sign contract with bigger clubs at the end of this season.

@notblox1 while their journey has ended we need to discuss about the big match and surprisingly no one brought it here, I’m talking about Manchester City vs Manchester United. Also while many will say City should win it easily, but Manchester United can be unpredictable and they can definitely stun City if they play well, so my prediction is Manchester United winning by 2 - 1, lastly leave your predictions below and do you’ll believe that Manchester United can defeat City?.

Liverpool fans would certainly be happy if United beat the city, but beating the city in their stronghold is not easy. United need to put in a good display and monopolize the ball and close the ports to achieve the result of a win or a draw, while the city will also strive to score goals and achieve victory in order to advance on the table of the standings over Liverpool by 6 points. I think the prospect of a United win is very tempting for gamblers @7.80 I'll try my luck today!!! Wink

I wonder if someone already won the 6-6 100k$?
Just curious.

 Yop,
If considering the lowest odd given on correct score prediction, (I take 6) is about 1 chance in 46,655 !

So guessing the number of users who should participate would be a lot of tries (participations), So it's sure that there are players who got it!

Since we have a ton of Liverpool fans in the house, I would say that United winning this game could be a cause for celebration in this topic. However, they are so good and rarely ever lose so there is a very doubtful situation at hand.

Not saying that it is impossible, obviously it is possible but at the end of the day we are talking about City and they have been amazing for like 5 years or so right now. That is why people do not talk about it, many think that it is no different than City vs Watford or City vs Brentford or something, yes United is better than those teams but when you are as good as City, there are not many teams that would be different to you, you beat them all.

Boreham Wood is not even a League Two team, National League.  Grin  They did lose today but we have to give them props for eliminating Bournemouth (prem league bound?) in the previous round. There is one more 5th round game to be played, but the fixtures for the FA Cup quarter-finals are set. Saints drew a tough matchup in City, but we played well against them this season, two draws if i'm not mistaken. Should be a good one...

It does happen time to time. English league system is so hardcore that even a non-league team could give some better team run for their money if the team doesn't come up with their starting eleven and belittle the opponent. We are talking about Vardy getting a million pounds just for his transfer fee back in the day, been a while and I am sure if a player like that comes up, the new record will be a lot more.

There is a lot of money for each team going around in the leagues, there are 10+ different leagues, all the setup is done by FA and all. So, basically what I am saying is that, even though it is uncommon, it is not really rare that a very low level team beats a higher level team.

@steve : Hey hey steve, thanks for the freebets ! Didnt even notice that until I read posts on this thread then decided to check mine out. Ended up using them for UCL parlay and some esports bet. Lets hope if either of these two are going to make it ( or both could be much better lol )

Quick update on this, won the first one but lose the second. Getting 1.785 mbtc just from betting using the free bets that Steve handed out, couldnt have been better than this to start your week for some extra balance to bet !

The first bet was PSG, Manchester City and Manchester United to win although I gotta say that PSG had me worried there especially after Messi failed to score from the penalty spot but Mbappe saved my bet. I should have gone for Manchester City -2 or some sort lol, I had City ML for 1.29 or something on that slip
There was a good win. I think the PSG won in the end was just a matter of effort and Real Madrid wanted to draw the game at their own stadium and win it.  It seems
