The title is coming to Anfield Highbury next season
FIFY, don't let me catch you dreaming again.
A case could be made for Chelsea to win the EPL. They have the squad for it and now they def have the manager for it.
They split with City in the EPL, and took the UCL cup from them in a convincing win. If the first half of their season looked anything like the second half we very likely would be having a different discussion right now. ManU fans probably don't want to hear it, but I think Chelsea was the strongest team towards the end the season. Chelsea had a lot to play for, so they couldn't afford to go on cruise control the way City and United seemed to do.
I heard a rumor that Guardiola is heading out of EPL, possibly to coach in Serie A. Of course it was a ManU fan that told me that, so it could be more dreaming (he'hem) than rumor.
I mean I am sure even United fans are aware of the fact that Chelsea was much better in the second half, that is not even a question in people's minds, this is the same team that finished in champions league level, finalist in FA cup and UCL winners, that is a good year for any team and they were so bad that they had to fire their manager and the new one made this happen so it shows how better they got.
However to be honest United fans are quite happy with where they are, results are not as important as the end game, you can lose 5 games in a row to finish the season but if you are champions thanks to all the wins beforehand, then you wouldn't care would you? Same goes here, United finished second, Chelsea finished fourth, that's fine. What United fans are raging is the fact that they could have won the Europa cup, they were better team on paper, it was totally a botched job there.
