Sportsbet.io’s very own Southampton FC into the FA Cup semi finals along with Man City, Leicester & Chelsea. I’d love Southampton to win it, would be huge for them. Good they play Leicester in the semis which keeps them away from Man City until a potential final.
Southampton is not a big club in England but they are a good club that help many talented players to begin and grow their career in Southampton, in their academy and in first squad.

I can name a few super star to good players that played for Southampton:
- Gareth Bale. The most famous player form Southampton maybe.
- Theo Walcott. The second famous player from the club. I think Walcott takes the second position, not Van Dijk. Because he is a talented English player.
- Van Dijk.
- Chamberlain
- Luke Shaw
- Sadio Mane

1 amazing players Southampton sold that would give them a top team
I think it doesn't matter if you sold some great players or not, it matters if you have any great players right now or not. Southampton is doing certainly better than what Watford did last year, we were a bit sad to see them relegate, it was our first ever sponsored team (our as in any crypto community) and it is good to see Southampton doing a lot better.

However I do not think that they have much chance, I mean sure I would pick Leicester over the other two as well, specially City, but even if they end up being super lucky, they will play City at the last game and that is more than enough, you will end up losing there for sure, but finalist is not bad neither. No other previous player will be coming back to help, so those who are sold do not matter, the players that we have right now are capable of playing very well one game and then getting scored 9 times in a game, they are very inconsistent.

Southampton were actually in the semis in 2017 so we know they're good and they're not in this late stage by luck. To see them easily win without Danny Ings,,, means they are not just a lucky squad but know how to work together as a team to embody their coach's mentality.

They meet Leicester now, and if they win their prize in the final is City/Chelsea. Hopefully Chelsea;)

Saints vs Foxes and Blues vs Cityzens are a great semifinal fixtures for FA. Southampton did good to defeat Bournemouth and advance but Foxes are playing a great football also. Both teams are having quite some injured players but most of them will return by the time the match day comes. Saints will be boosted with Ings return and Maddison will also return for Leicester. So yeah it will be a quite contest between the two. Saints are playing a great football this season and out of all four teams they are the one less likely to win it. But they have a good team and have the capability to defeat big sides. Saints to win against Leicester is what I predict, after all they have yet to take revenge for the 9-0 defeat they had in last season and kicking Foxes out of FA will be a perfect one for Saints.

That would be nice to be sincere, it is all we wish for Southampton, but the game is more now scary as strong EPL clubs remain, what makes me fear more is Leicester that can not be underestimated this time around, I was surprised with how Man United was defeated by them, while either Chelsea and Man City are also another problem. Nothing is impossible, but Southampton needs extra efforts.

I like to analyse matches to also predict, I went into the EPL this season history just not long, Leicester only lost ones in the last five matches, while in the third position, they are just playing good to be sincere. Southampton won only one match in the last five games and in the fourteenth position. Although Southampton will have more potential to play so it can win FA cup, but Leicester seem more stronger, that is why I said Southampton needs more effort to do this.

For me, it honestly doesn't matter whoever wins the cup but the games, all of them, were breathtaking as well as made me sweat all time whenever I watched each of them because of the fear of losing on my bets lol. I too believe Southampton is in good form and can beat up all these teams except Man City. Man City had been very much dominating since last few matches' (and I even lost some because I played against them).

(arsenal are 2-3, though, smells like a comeback)

3-3 Final, I'll take a draw after that start, lol!  It must have been a good match, I'll have to go find some highlight reels.

I’d love Southampton to win it, would be huge for them.

That would be sweet.  They're among good company, that's for sure.  Congrats to the Southampton FC and sportsbet.io.  Go Saints!

I just noticed Sportsbet soccer blackjack is active for the Real Sociedad - FC Barcelona match: https://sportsbet.io/sports/sportsbet-specials/daily-specials/soccer-blackjack/matches

It's a good time for soccer fans around the world.  The CONCACAF Olympic qualifications are back on and the US Men's Olympic Soccer team is playing Costa Rica tonight, then go on to play Mexico on Wednesday.  They have one win, but only one goal so far.  They'll need to beat Costa Rica or Mexico move onto the next round, and built their goal differential.  The scuttlebutt is that this might be the first year in a long time when the US team looks strong enough to make an impact, let alone qualify.

I believe its all about timing and performance. Its not about the players they have entirely or who have the better or compare it with the squad value, there are other things as well like strategy and so and so. In Spurs vs Arsenal , Spurs had a 1 goal advantage but their approach of letting Arsenal deep into defence and keep attacking them costed them. It was same with Zagreb, they let them keep on taking the shots. I think there are some approach that needs to be change now inside Spurs.

I would say compared to Mourinho, Klopp is doing things much better. They keep the possession and they keep on attacking. Yeah it sure is hard time for Reds without their main man in defence and their attacking not working as well but they sure are gonna find something if they keep on attacking.
Yeah, attacking is the best defense. I fully agree with this. Almost every team in the Premier League plays attacking football. I think the most important strategy is, after digesting a goal, to come back to the truck very quickly and counter-attack. If someone fails to counter-attack very quickly, it is difficult to get good results in the Premier League. Playing defensively in the Premier League can win very few matches.
Plus Liverpool is at least still in the champions league and facing Real Madrid right now, that is not a bad way to move forward. Tottenham lost to dinamo zagreb 3-0 in order to get eliminated, that was a shocking result and 9 out of 10 times zagreb fails to win that game that much, but that one time happened and it should be a big wake up call for all Spurs front office and president.

Do not get me wrong Mourinho is definitely a decent manager, he could build the greatest defensive team there is if you give him the right players, but Spurs had so much great attackers that went improperly used and that is why I think this is going to be something different, he just didn't used the players properly. Firing him shouldn't mean that he is a bad manager, it just shows that the team and the manager wasn't perfect fit and the result wasn't good, he could still go somewhere else next year and become even champions, all he needs is a team that fits him.

I remembered tyKiwanuka recommending not to bet on your favorite team, since  you might be blinded by loyalty.
wise words from tyKi

and yeah, 0/2 wins for me today (arsenal are 2-3, though, smells like a comeback)

i said the daily multibet looked good, heh!! both Leverkusen + Juventus showing tremendous performances today 😑 all in all, looks like it's gonna be shitty day..man, i'm so glad i bought a 6 pack of heineken yesterday, gonna chill for a little bit and then watch some argentinian football in the night...Chasing losses while drinking beer, here we come!!

Lol yup, there it goes.  Sorry but I had to laugh at that...  I put a wager on Arsenal also, and while I was doing it I remembered tyKiwanuka recommending not to bet on your favorite team, since  you might be blinded by loyalty.  At least I'm spared from having to watch the debacle, it's not broadcast on any of my services.

took me a while to figure out my sunday tickets so, here goes nothing:

i wanted to take the daily multi bet special (Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus & Manchester United All To Win) but i'm still salty af about Galatasaray losing to part-time dentists yesterday which completely ruined the saturday special, so i'll just skip it...but, on paper, it looks pretty good, no? Leverkusen will play vs. 17th place Hertha, Juve should have no problems winning against a team fighting near regelation zone and Man Utd are in extremely good form (+10 games unbeaten in all competitions, beat ac milan the other day, showing good football). GL today everyone!

I saw a lot of online tickets with Spurs money line and I must say I will play against those tickets and to be more precise, I will take Villa to score 1-3 goals for a safe odd of 1.40. Same odd I will take for Arsenal to score 1-3 goals. Why I can't trust Spurs anymore ? Simply because Mourinho realized that him team no longer wants to fight  alongside with him but can Spurs comeback stronger next year ? Do they have the necessary players ? I would say they won't and they don't.

Arsenal boost wasn't much of a boost for me (just looked like a regular haha) so I didn't do much about that, just put them as part of an insured boosted parlay, so don't let me down, Gunners!

I've never truly been worried about front 3. They have been piling on the attacks and our expected goals ratio has actually managed to maintain. This was actually what happened to City last season (highest expected goals but lowest actual to expected). Our problems happened from midfield to back, which is self perpetuating. Our best midfield has to cover our shitty back, and that also means the attacking third has to suffer.

I'm okay with where we are now. We have a bad season, bad luck with injuries and 21 different CB pairings with no consistency and we're still fighting. We'll never change our mentality to defend, and that's okay for me.

Tottenham's squad is not enough good, yet they perform well enough. They are not defeated by too many goals. Mourinho is a really great coach. He is able to perform well with a team that has almost collapsed. Liverpool has a lot of star players than Tottenham. Yet Liverpool are doing very poorly this season.

@boltz good to know you're fine again.

Anyway, so good to see Saints ahead in this cup game. I didn't get the chance to check if it was a Super Boost but anyway, glad to see them cruising. Much needed before the grind of EPL comes back!

It was an applaudable sporting gesture by Mourinho, but it's also not the first time he has given his opponents credit for defeating the teams he coached. He praises underdogs occasionally. He will of course not do it to a rival team or manager.

Yeah, he's not all that much of a sour grape, especially since coming back to England I'd say. He's definitely keen to give praise where due, but I'm actually pleased he's not really said that much about us (Liverpool) because it hides his true admiration for us haha.

Did you watched the video with Mourinho entering the room of Zagreb after the game ?

I watched an interview with ex Dinamo Zagreb General Manager Zdravko Mamic last night. In this interview, he mentioned Jose's act and said he was pleased to hear Mourninho say that his Tottenham side was beaten by a Dinamo Zagreb "family". He was referring to the team spirit and sacrifice they showed on the pitch.

It's never boring to watch Mourinho and his reactions and you may like him or not but he is a great coach, even if I don't like his style of play.
He doesn't have the best team this year and I think next season will be better for him if he stays in Tottenham.
They play against Aston Villa next in Premier league and it will be interesting to watch how they will react in that match.

I’m not sure what Spurs hierarchy were expecting but it isn’t really working out with Mourinho is it. I thought for some time the game has evolved & Jose’s style is outdated. I don’t think he’s going to last long at Spurs now.
