I thought it was so admirable that you play with no centerback and still keep 71% possession and at one point 7 shots to 0 United.

I can't understand how anyone who watched United play thinks they are title contenders. And I'm a neutral!
It is actually easier to keep 71% possession of the ball if you have two midfielders playing on CB positions. They should be better with the ball in their feet after all. Possession does not win matches and those shots you mentioned were not on target. Liverpool had 9 shots in first half but only one on target. That also shows problems in the LFC attack. Form what I have seen in recent games Salah is totally out of form, Firmihno has always been the one to make plays and not score and Mane can't push them trough the line on his own. Too bad Jota got injured he clicked well with the team and was very dangerous.

I did not watch whole match but parts that I saw United had much better chances. They did not create much but they were more dangerous when they did. That is the reason why United is title contender. They are dangerous on counter attacks and nobody likes to play against them. That being said they will not lift the title in the end since they will lose points at home against week sides which park the bus.

So it was a draw after all with a boring game ...meh I couldn't even watch the 1st half as United was so bad in every possible option...and I can't believe it that Liverpool did not score. Furthermore, this game will cost a lot for Liverpool as they lost important points in the last 5 games...I think the title is far from over as City will win tonight for sure.

City are going to win it mate. If we didn’t lose Van Dijk we’d win it again but to lose him, Gomez & even Matip so often is just too much. We miss Jota a lot too, he’s so much more clinical than the other front 3.

I can’t complain we had a great couple of years. Still think we’ll finish 2nd. Would be good to go far in the CL, you never know what can happen there.

I watched the first half (second half got too late for me) and I've to say, Liverpool should still be the firm favorites to win this title. I know they've not been able to score for 4 or 5 games? But look at how the others who've won have. United with penalties for example? City also faced this problem remember, and only recently found a way to score again.

It'll happen for Liverpool, they just need to stick to their tactics. I thought it was so admirable that you play with no centerback and still keep 71% possession and at one point 7 shots to 0 United.

you think Klopp & the boys don't what it takes to win the league title this year?  Sad it's still too early tho, we're right in the middle of the season, you're just 3 pts behind United despite you having a few key players injured, not too bad imo...while Liverpool's attack has been underwhelming lately (0 goals scored in the last 3 league games), defence seems to be pretty solid (3 clean sheets + 2 goals conceded in the last 5 games)...Klopp needs to fix the midfield somehow and then try to boost the confidence of the attacking trio, tough task but Klopp is top class manager, he'll know how to get his boys back on the winning track

anyways, how'd you guys do this weekend on your bets? so far, i'm in the red, no luck in the PL and serie a, so now i'm waiting for the nba, which is where i've been winning consistently (despite being a total newbie), to see if i can recover some of those lossess...Nikola Jokic with yet another double-double? anyone?  Cheesy

Inter just won the derby d'Italia after 4 years of waiting and I've watched the game and Juventus simply had no chance to score a goal no matter how hard they tried and Inter could've scored more goals as they had a lot of opportunities of doing so. With this game result of 2-0, Juventus chances for the tittle are being reduces by a lot as they lost important points against the contra-candidates for the title.

It's just unfortunate that we didn't get to win. I mean, we offered everything in the first half and kept throwing everything we had against Man Utd but they defended very well to kerp us out. Also, I'd like to point out Firmino's finishing was quite poor today. I have a feeling that if it was either Mane or Jota in any of those chances, it would've been a better outcome. We may have drawn at Anfield today but the PL title race is far from over. I hope we find our goal-scoring form soon. Not looking great at the moment.

Honestly this is going to be one of the most important games in the league. I know that it looks head to head sort of, odds are not "that" far apart. So, what happens now will have some kind of decisive result in the future as well.

If United ends up winning, we can officially welcome United back to the awesome teams level and they are going to be great for the rest of the season for sure, they were always "good" but not awesome, and to be frank I put only Liverpool and City in that place and then there are "good" teams like united, Leicester, Chelsea, spurs type of (even wolves got in and out a bit last year) so long story short United would be capable of going above that good level and get into awesome level if they can win this game.

Of course that is just my assumption, maybe it was always as good as Liverpool, or maybe it still isn't that good just because of one game, I just feel like that.

You know guys it actually wasn't a bad idea for me to bet under 3 goals, now I'm up by 0.176 mBTC  Smiley I wasn't manly enough to bet on under 2 goals sadly, I was about to go for that but I was thinking "what if somebody gets a penalty".

I'm not surprised by the goalless draw though. Didn't Chelsea and Spurs also do a similar draw IIRC? It's weird how we all expect these big clubs to get at each other and have a goalfest, but usually what actually happens is that they come together for a corner kick fest (yay for over 8.5 corners!  Grin), a few goals are saved but almost nothing is actually scored since these are, you know, well-behaved clubs that don't foul each other for penalties.

Thiago Alcantara shots on target 1+ would have been a nice trick bet with the 6x odds it was going for, I'm a little disappointed I didn't go for that one too.

Just imagining all the money the people who wagered on no goals being scored made off of this game makes me sweat.

Massive game today, Liverpool vs Man Utd.

Football God’s, if you’re up there a listening, please shine down on Jurgen’s Reds Wink

Usually I hate playing on draws since I can't root for any team Smiley That being said odds @3.95 on draw between LFC & United sound like real value. This game has draw written all over it for me. Most importantly I have a feeling both teams would be happy with a draw and in cases like that somehow more often than not game ends as a draw.

Livepool is better at home, united is better away so nothing here to give advantage. Liverpool should have an edge in the attack but Salah did not look very sharp lately so not sure about that either. United should be able to take advantage of Liverpool playing without central backs. I have a feeling we will be disappointed with this match and most of the game will be played in the midfield far away form opponents goals.

You might be right here. This game looks like a draw on the paper but then if we quick look at what defensive is going to guard the goals tonight for both teams..... I'm not so sure about a draw. The 1st team who controls the mid section , will be the 1st team to score aswell but that doesn't mean we will have a boring game without scoring chances because like I said ...both teams have poor defensive.

Liverpool @1.94x is too good to pass up.
For one, they are playing @home
Second, they are playing with their full squad.
Third, they are looking to stay on top of the table and keep those devils as far back as they can.
Going up against Man.Utd head-on should have LFC wanting to just annihilate them of the playing field.
Have it as a Liverpool win and over 4.5! Grin

I'm sure of Liverpool winning but not so sure about goal-thriller. The goals should be between 1.5 to 3.5 in my opinion. Liverpool lost their position on top of the table to Man Utd so its time to take it back from them. I went with Liverpool to win @1.96. I missed getting in when the odds were above 2.

I'm hopeful that we would win today despite not being in our best form. Goodluck to us and everyone betting on Liverpool. Green slips after 90 minutes  Smiley

We are 15 minutes away from the derby between Liverpool and United. So far, both teams looked fantastic when it comes to offensive football and goals scored but I think United has a slight advantage over Liverpool. Then , let's talk about their defensive because as we all know, Liverpool has some problems there but it's not even close of what a disastrous defensive United has so this is where Liverpool will make the difference of the game...even if United scores twice, Liverpool can score 3 goals.

Here I agree with your all points just one is not good enough as they are playing with their full squad because if they have their full squad then surely bookies not giving these odds @1.94 they have some serious injuries issue like Matip, van Dijk, Keita, Gomez and Jota all missing which is very bad for home team and reason for these odds.

Meanwhile, I'm not brave enough to stake a Man United win tomorrow, you think I should do it? They have a lot of advantages over LFC right now including the choice of referee and and Liverpool having a lot of their starting XI missing. I mean, I don't want them to win Grin but gambling doesn't listen to emotions, you know what I'm saying?

It's just that ManU's 4+ odds are taunting me. If Sampdoria could pull it, what's stopping ManU, even if it's an away game?
Manchester United is still the underdog, but the odds are not as compelling right now (it's 3.63 on Sportsbet.io) and it's always additional risk to bet on the team the majority does not expect to win. That being said, I chose Manchester United as the winner in their match against Liverpool in Sportsbet Prediction Pool, and I still think they have a very good chance of winning. But is the chance high enough to place a bet? I'm not risking that, but maybe it's just me being too cautious and never giving underdogs a proper chance Grin

I suffer from an unfortunate affiliation with LFC, so I went instead for an ambitious Betbuilder (lead both halves, Salah to score, among other things haha) but yeah, United 4/1 is always a good bet for me, I do miss those days when we were the underdogs against United;) Objectively, you've got to take those odds, except OSG has a 2L2D record against the Merseysiders;)

So uh, I must have been half-awake when I placed that PSG bet. I meant to stake 0.01mBTC not 0.1mBTC, oh well. Nothing I can do about it Shocked . At least my (intentional) 0.1mBTC ATTW Yes bet for Sampdoria - Udinese won, Udinese looked like they got the upper hand but Sampdoria turned it around with two more goals. Who would've taken them when the score was at 0:1?
