Yeah, this week was pretty good for me. I see that Omikifuse failed to submit his answers so jeremypwr climbed to the first place and I'm just one point behind the second place. I hope I will win some more points in the four remaining games.

That's really really rare in Superbru pools actually as we've been playing for so long and you can even put picks in way ahead of time but this is a great reminder to anyone giving up that things like this can push you way up.

Anyway, I'm in bottom table now officially, and losing hope but always optimistic. Barca were the big winners this week despite a bad game so I can't complain Smiley

Oh and I'm in top 10! Rooting for Valencia!
It is going to be a long season but you have a good chance to stay in top places in leaderboard.
This was not so great week for me in La Liga with only one exact score, and biggest surprise for me was Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano draw.
I expected to see lot of goals in this match, but I have to give credits to Rayo Vallecano, they are doing fantastic things in last few rounds and they somehow managed to resist all Real attacks today.

If anyone needs to remember that it's not just Klopp and others in the EPL incensed at VAR, just look at La Liga and poor Celta Vigo. After losing to Las Palmas (hey at least they beat Atletico too) after VAR overturned a goal the ref gaves, Iago Adpas apparently overturned a VAR monitor when VAR overturned a last-min penalty the ref awarded against Sevilla.

Poor Benitez. He must be looking back at Valencia days. End of an era.
Didn't saw this game, watching highlights now. Not really sure about penalty, tricky moment, but I feel sorry for Benitez, such difficult season for him and I don't want to see him getting sacked. But still, difficult to find league where VAR is more contraversial than in EPL. Like yesterday's Newcastle goal - WTF was that, how ball wasn't out of pitch?
Yesterday it was one of worst Barca games for a while, Sociedad dominated completely for 85 minutes and it looked like they're playing 2nd division team. But for Barca it was enough to play good last 5 minutes to achieve complete not deserved win. What a perfect pass by Gundogan.

Happy in BSFL and happy in La Liga. I'm jealous of you this week man Smiley I even dropped more places in Superbru pool so this week is making me feel totally amateur.

The only good thing was Barca winning, super close game, I think it's time for me to rely on 1-0 picks again, like we decided to switch off so soon into this season.

(No I'm not following Celta just because Rafa's managing and because Aspas is captaining, nope, not at all).

And yet I'm hoping for Sevilla to score an equalizer which would bring me closer to the second place on Superbru. I'm trailing two point after jeremypwr and this goal would bring me a step closer. However, since it's Sevilla we are talking about, I won't hold my breath.

Damn, it's already second round in a row when Girona is playing with my nerves. Last week they won against Celta only after scoring goal on additional time and now they were down against Osasuna away 1:2 until 70th minute but still managged to win. This win not only covered yesterday's minus from Atletico win, but also gave some profit. Only question how long such amazing their run will continue.
Tonight Real Sociedad will play with Barcelona. In past Anoeta used to be most difficult stadium for Barca, but in recent years we usually win there. Seems that Barca after some time finally will have almost best squad.

Valencia on Sunday should be a real deal easy win
Not sure about easy, but yeah, expecting to see their win.

Actually 30-0 won't be easy to get even if you play first team. A weaker team will play ultra defensive but if the see you put Team B they might play more open.

30-0 is close to impossible to happen in modern football, even with 6th division amateur football teams against Barca or Real
but, 2nd team is good for those matches, because bench players want to show that they have something to include them into first team
nevertheless, even 12 goals is way too much to score

Atletico busted a lot on Friday, but that is what Friday is used by bookies, to ruin your weekend before it is even started
Valencia on Sunday should be a real deal easy win

I guess I have to take back everything I said about Atletico this season being the real deal, after losing to Las Palmas.

And the fact that they had to sub Griezmann while Morata scored yet again actually makes it look worse, that they keep relying on Morata and even he cannot save them from losing all 3 points.

Defend, counterattack, win. That used to be Atletico but some small team showed them how to do this recipe lol

Right? It's so nice to see like a whole page of games and I'm sure the small teams love it, even if they have to lose to Getafe 12-0 lol

No surprises though, but maybe a lot of people lost money as many La Liga teams like Sociedad and Athletic even Girona only won by 1 goal.

Yesterday when I saw the news headline “Betis and Getafe scored 12 goals each in the Copa del Rey” I thought: the score is 12-12? What kind of nonsense is this? But it turned out that these were games against other teams and Betis won with a score of 12-1. I was always surprised by such unequal games and always wondered why top teams mostly play the early stages of the tournament with a rotation lineup instead of playing with the main squad and making records like 30-0  Grin

Only surprised to see it in cup games as sometimes you can even have La Liga teams paired with nonleague tetams. Essentially something like 80 positions difference. Like Belgium vs San Marino or something Smiley

Whooping scores in these games, I'm surprised to see a team that's struggling in La Liga to net such hugh goals against their opponents in Copal de Rey. Real Betis won Hernan Cortes 12-1 and Getafe thrashing Tardienta 12 nil. Such embarrassing moments for their victims, it's only a matter of time before they figure out they're absolutely not good to compete with La Liga average teams. Real Betis and Getafe represented Spanish clubs impressively, counting the massive goals scored was a brilliant one. These teams deserved accolades because they humiliated their opponents with such an ease energy.

Not league but still important Copa del Rey tonight.
Man, I love these early rounds of cups. Not because we see high level football or something here. It's more about spirit of cup when La Liga club arrives to these tiny stadiums of amateur clubs and sometimes it looks like whole town comes to stadium to watch this game.
Many of these clubs don't even have page on Wikipedia or results shown of Flashscore app.
If I haven't missed anything, we don't have big upsets so far and La Liga clubs didn't got eliminated. Watched a bit of Quintanar de la Orden from 6th tier and Sevilla game which ended as expected. Now watching Bunol (also from 6th tier) - Real Sociedad game and score is still 0:0 after 50 minutes.

Sporsbet is sponsoring many pools and has so many side competitions going on that it has been decided to credit all free bets on Mondays. For them to be credited on Monday free bet has to be earned latest on Sunday. Which means if we have a game on Monday you are waiting whole week for free bet. If round finishes on Sunday, you get them next day.

Sort of thought you guys already picked up on it Smiley I have written it in many different topics in last few months and I am sure jeremypwr mentioned it at least few times as well.

Hard to pick up on it if you don't always win, or if you don't always pay attention to talks about freebets. I am 99% sure my freebets used to come rather randomly before. I never asked, I just waited and checked My Rewards because Steve also drops them randonly. I know they are much faster these days though.

But if you guys say Monday, then ay least now I know to check Monday, and if nothing, no need to check until next Monday. Thanks!

I finally finished this round in first place, happy for it and for moving up 8 places in the general table, I won a fb 1 mbtc right? Will it be awarded this week? or next week?

Correct, refer to OP for that. AFAIK freebets credited within a week, I think they wait a little while because Superbru is slow to finalize the yellow cap plus sometimes scores change.
