The fact that they restrict certain players in pretty indicative of a legit operation.

If they were a "scam operation," why would they restrict their "scamming" to certain jurisdictions?

Do you really think they don't want your business?

That makes zero sense. They are bookies and want more players, not less.

What is suddenly blocking me from accessing this site?

It loads the site and I can see my balance, but the site is now putting up a message that I cannot access sportsbet.io from my jurisdiction...

Also, how is it telling my jurisdiction?  From my IP?

What can I do to get around this?

I used to play on sportsbet through my direct connection and I can't get the full market from some events especially from soccer's games. That problem's gone when I use vpn. So my conclusion is, it is better to use vpn instead of our direct connection when we want to play at this site.
But when you use a VPN and win big the problem is that they can accuse you of having several accounts and misusing their promos!

This already happened several times in the past.

While I can anyway not recommend to use this sportsbook, I would surely not use a VPN if doing so.

Yeah, I know such problem could occur in the future and that's why I posted the problem in their main thread and contacted customer service as well. In the hope if something bad happened, I can give them proof.

But to be honest. Playing on a site that unable to fix a small error for a longer time is a bit annoying.

I made a deposit and ironically 48 hours later, I was restricted.

Thankfully, I used the Live support and was able to get my funds back almost immediately.

You don't. I live in an accesible region however and am willing to log into your account and send you your funds for a 10% fee or .05 whichever is smaller.

OP, DON'T SEND THIS PERSON OR ANYONE PM YOU YOUR LOGIN INFO.

I am not saying they will steal from you but it seems like a scam attempt.

My advice is to first contact the site, and they will maybe temporarily grant you access to login so you can withdraw your balance. If that doesn't work then use a secure VPN (don't use the cheap ones) and just login and withdraw your funds.
I did not even notice that comment even if it was the second comment on the thread, but you are right that seems a little fishy, maybe that is just a person willing to be of help, but we must be very wary especially when it comes to bitcoin because once it is not in your wallet you do not have control over it.

Just so you know - if Sportsbet.io really is not available in your country then it is better to simply stop using this site.
Sure you may want to use VPN and be advised - certain sites have rules against VPN access - if their security system will realize that you are using VPN,
then you might be in trouble - it usually works like this, you will still be able to play - but when comes to withdrawing money you might encounter some difficulties.
IMO it is not worth it using VPN when there are many reliable sites you can still use without breaking any rules.

I think that the problem is that he already has some coins in there. At least, for some reason, that's the impression I've got from this topic. Maybe because OP referred he can see his balance, so I'm assuming it's not zero. So he can probably stop playing there if there is no soution left, but I think he should at least be allowed to withdraw his money from the site first.

He wouldn't complain if he didn't have any balance in his account. Likely this is the problem and that is why he is posting here. I guess it would be easier for OP to just use a VPN and then just withdraw the remaining balance in his account and try to just play on another sports book. VPNs are relatively cheap and there are a lot of them that offer free use anyway.

Well the problem with VPN is what everyone is saying here in this thread. VPN access is not encourage in the sportsbet.io, it's stated in their TOS, so since he has some balance there, he should first try to contact the help from the admins in order to solve this the right way and avoid any problems in the future. I'm sure everything will be solved properly if he does not violate any term of the TOS.

You can use TOR browser. TOR browser constantly changes IP and it is used widely when the government restricts gambling website to be reached in certain countries. It should work better than most VPN-s and make sure you never give your login details to anyone.

Why you even use this site?

There are surely several other bitcoin sports betting sites available to circumvent local restrictions.

Their partner site bitcasino does not answer several serious questions from respected members here on bitcointalk!

I have stopped using them long time ago because they have confusing KYC policy and terms & conditions. Its better to just not use them, but for now you can either contact their support or use VPN which might be risky.

TOR browser can be useful for you and it works better than any VPN out there.

sportsbet.io changed their TOS? maybe your ISP gave you a weird IP range thats it
try to restart your router,if it doesn't work-just use VPN as suggested above
any will do,pick a european country, they should be fine in most cases
and,of course,do not let  anyone scam you,do not send any sensitive data about your account or login details (god forbid)
Nope i guess, they don't have any mentions of which country they don't serve, if i read their tos correctly they'll stop serving those countries who don't allow online/bitcoin gambling. maybe recently op's country banned online gambling or maybe like you said his IP changed to some country where online gambling is banned.

Like everybody said, use a VPN. There are a few that are free like cyberghost and other ones, I recommend this one since this is the one I use. The free version is fine. Then the best thing you do is just withdraw everything and move to another sportsbook. There is no more point in playing somewhere that banned your country. There are a lot of alternatives anyway.
