I have officially got a Premier League Fantasy so I decided to create not one but 2 second chance leagues for us to compete in. Both are second chance leagues, meaning scoring starts from GW17. Clean slate.

First one is free of charge and made in collaboration with Sportsbet. There aren't big rewards for this one, just fame and 10$ free bet for winner of every game week. Deadline is very short and if you don't have the money to pay on time there is very good chance that I will allow you to pay up later on. This depends a little on your forum level and trust or my personal opinion of you. Hope there will be at least few of you willing to take this "bet" with me. I am participating of course.

You will probably be able to experience something similar way sooner than 4 years. There is also Champions League Fantasy which I will consider doing next year now that we some basic number of users here on forum. There is also EURO 2024 Fantasy which I will be playing for sure. As things stand I am quite confident we will be able to get sponsors for those.

Champions League is maybe overkill since it is going in parallel with Premier League and there is nothing that can even hold a candle to Premier League Fantasy

Nothing big or sofisticated, just tried to connect his spottsbet account with your fantasy username through that form we all had to enter to join. Of course there is timestamp for entries and we know you so it wouldn't be a problem even if there isn't.

But one more argument in favor of using the same nick for leagues like these.

Unironically it's not the first time someone has tried to impersonate me on the Sb site. Back when they had poker tables, i had a doppelganger...but that's a long story and also off-topic.

The truth of the matter is, when there are decent prizes/something nice going on, bad actors will always try to take advantage of/ruin the fun for everyone else.

Coming into the game, i had very low expectations since it had largely different rules and structure than what im used to with FPL, more casual-oriented if you will. Knowing when to use your boosters was crucial, as was getting lucky on a few differentials in each round.

Anyway, it appears that those who made the top10 have been paid out, and i can confirm that i received my winnings....also, from what i could pick from the clubtalk chat, there were 1 or 2 players disqualified within the top10 (probably multi-accounting), so perhaps someone just outside the prize spots from the forum got in last minute? Check your accounts!

you can see who was following the rules, I missed on that, and deadline for R16, and eventually end up low, but wasn't to better even with changed team for that round

I got screwed with final match, never thought it will have more than 2 goals in it. Plan was also to bring in DiMaria for final if he plays but in last minute I decided he isn't worth going -3 since there will not be goals anyway.

I agree about power captain boost and that is why I decided to target 3rd place play off game with it. I brought a couple of differentials like Gvardiol and Majer and hoped for the best. Again I expected very low scoring final.

Cashed out Argenitna nice though, there was that penalty ticket and I had them to win outright from beginning.

The only reason why I feel bad is literally because I didn't understand how the transfers and substitution works way sooner, I had all my chip planned out for specific stages perfectly, and almost all worked out pretty well for me except the 12th Man on Ronaldo, I also had one nap to early and didn't bring on Gvardiol to my starting lineup right on time.

But it was still all a very decent experience, and congratulations mate!

Well deserved, perhaps you should take up managing a football team as a professional, that's if you've not already thought about it!

I used mine in Matchday 3 and got 18 points from Tadic, with very low ownership. That's the trick with this specific booster, to not have any of the popular names score, otherwise, it just goes to waste, negated. If Messi and Mbappe stayed quiet you should have at least kept the 4th place.

Has anyone else from the forum made the top 10 except for me and Trofo? I see that Harkorede was very close 12th...with Gvardion and his 8 pts on the bench.  

Congratulations to Hoody Hoo 456, those who made ITM... I enjoyed this competition until the last game making line-ups even without having any chance... but having Messi in your team is priceless, you had to keep playing.

Power captain was reserved for 3rd place play off match from the moment I read what it does. My initial plan was to go for Juranović but when I sow the line ups, Gvardiol was the best choice for Croatian defender. What a beautiful action for his goal as well That shot me trough the rankings mainly because of captain points but everybody will have one of the Messi/Mbappe today and there is high chance I will lose a lot of the advantage power captain has given me so far.

That big boss from Qatar said that it would be their dream that Messi (GOAT) lifts the trophy in his last World Cup and that it all happens in Qatar. After seeing VAR in action yesterday I think I am putting a hefty bet on penalty for Argentina today. If there isn't a real one or Argetnina is not leading at least 2:0 they will produce one. FIFA=MAFIA at this point and everything is for sale, maybe they even have Christmas discounts

If you had the Power Captain stashed for this final matchday...happy days, no need to worry about who scores the most points, even better if you had Gvardiol in there as a differential.

Looking ahead to tomorrow's match, i'll be surprised if people who have Ziyech/Perisic as captains don't switch to Messi or Mbappe. Argentina has a high pen potential with 4 pens given (zero against them), while France has the most pens against with 3 (zero in their favor). A VAR penalty for a Messi winner would be a fairy tale ending to this World Cup. Lol Jokes aside, pen or no pen, i don't see France keeping a clean sheet, they've been leaky at the back and have nearly three times the xGC of Argentina.

This round was better than the last one, despite the fact that I had a few players with zero points who ruined the party for me; I took -3 and it paid off, but it would have been much better if Mbappe had scored. After all, I may be aiming for a top-20 finish.

I have a quick question; I can't explain what's going on here, and maybe I'm wrong. Isn't this Theo Fernandez? Who was France's first goal scorer today? I double-checked the line and he is the only Fernandez in the France team, so why was my point ignored?

it show that he did not play the match is this another bug? is there a place i can complain? I got -15 points last MD unfairly.

Giroud all the way for me, I wanted him from the day Benzema was confirmed out but couldn't justify it while Brazil was still in the tournament. I also wanted Alvarez but that 3 forward slots are way to precious and I never got a chance to even seriously consider him.

Still contemplating if taking any extra transfers for minus three points is worth it. As it stands now I will probably take one extra transfer to field full 11.

Guess who didn't include Alvarez in their team after previously advocating for him?    ...those 14 points would have been highly appreciated. Croatia overperforming their high xGC finally caught up with them, such poor defending on Alvarez's 1st goal....it was no coming back after that.
