Most people backed the home win. People might start to lose faith in them now though.

Two people went with draw and I was the only one that had Crystal Palace to win. I thought I had it already until Arsenal scored but well I wont get the Yellow Cap either way even with close score but it would be nice to be the only one that get points from that match lol. Anyway, you are doing way better than last season by getting the 2nd spot

I bet Ronaldo is starting to regret his decision. I really thought he'd turn the team around.

I bet he does and I just hope that we will win tomorrow against Atalanta in UCL

So. Arsenal-Palace. Conundrum. Only won once -- but it was against Spurs, and then came away with arguably tricky draws vs Brentford, Hammers and even Leicester before the break. Surely they deserve better than 14th, but Arsenal also had a good run. I feel like it's a draw on this one, anything goes after 2 weeks pause.

I was so close to going with a draw as I needed to get either that or the correct score and hope nobody got a close result to win the yellow cap.

After very bad performances from Arsenal this season I am surprised that only 2 people in our pool went for draw and only 1 person went for a win. That was a huge upset in the works coming until of course Lacazette scored the equalizer with second last kick of the game. So the game week ends and the table moved very little. I climbed a few spots but still so far away but at least now 4 spots from the exact middle Smiley Bear in mind,,, a few people seem to stop playing so the "real" middle is actually 22.

It looks I was the only one to believe in an Arsenal win yesterday night.I thought lately they have played well but yesterday they could not just keep up with the game.A draw was the ideal result based on the game, anyway I hope I forget this week very soon as it was a real nightmare for me going from second to ninth or tenth don't know.

No, a lot of people took the win if you check the results, only 3 or 4 people chose a draw or Crystal Palace win!

Most reports say Palace deserved to win actually but the quality of strikers in Aubameyeng and Lacazette was the key difference. Only I am not sure why Laca was not played earlier,,, is he not fit?

There were really surprising results in the Premier League last week. And it was a big surprise for me that I climbed a few places in the standings even though I ended the week with only 7.5 points. From my point of view, being at the 35th place is a big disappointment. Let's see if I'm going to be able to make the predictions that will help me climb to upper places in the rest of the season.

Anyway, came across a few Salah clips, apparently the King was in London last night to give away the Earthshot prize (and the winners said: "Thank you, you'll never walk alone." haha). Never heard the guy actually give a speech, everything I hear is from LFC TV, so a small gem if anyone wants to see, all over Twitter.

Also, gave a few tips to the prince on how to be king.

2 minutes until kickoff and I'm backing a Newcastle stun against Spurs. The stadium atmosphere will definitely overwhelm Spurs and make them wilt.

Surprisingly I'm the only one making this gamble along with jayce  Smiley

It's too early to conclude this match lol. But yeah I was very sure Newcastle could show something in the front of their new owner, but somehow Son - Kane find their shape again...

Oh damn it's 2-3

Of course we can't expect miracles from Newcastles right now.Until the new management starts to bring really new good players Newcastle will remain the same,no matter if the new owners have a lot of money to spend.Of course speaking for the future Newcastle can also be a second Manchester City and can be a really strong contender for the title but starting next year as for this one I don't think they stand any chance.

I am thinking the same plus I am expecting some goals in this one as well. Though pick for the pool but at least I know what I am putting on my ticket - both to score @1.65. Newcastle has been quite attacking this season and now they are playing to impress new owners, both Saint-Max and Wilson are ready and expected in first 11. I am thinking Newcastle scores 2 goals today and Spurs should be good enough to match them.

In the end I went for a slim Spurs win, but the goals flowed in the first half in the end, so happy for the result at least, though 2-1 as usual was the best pick of the game -- Spurs fans will be pleased their goalscorers found their scoring boots, think the atmosphere actually helped them more than Newcastle!

Tough week to negotiate really, and still another confusing pick for Monday left. Don't you just love the unpredictability of post-international games?

It was my initial pick too BEFORE the break, but seems like Spurs and Leicester benefited most from 2 weeks away from league action =) Of course, I say this with 15 minutes left on the clock and we all know EPL is where the magic happens in these last 15% of the game...

It looks like we are continuing where we left off yesterday as a week full of surprises,Everton just lost at their home against West Ham in the first game.Newcastle already winning in the first minutes of kickoff looks like we are experiencing the week with the most surprise results in the Premier League so far.Hopefully Arsenal is not going to screw things up tomorrow and will win the game against Crystal Palace.

I don't see Brentford causing Chelsea too much trouble
I thought the same about Brentford in all the matches they played so far in this season. But look what they have achieved so far!

Won against West Ham in the away match
A 3 - 3 draws again Liverpool
Wolves did not do much against then, won the away match by 0 - 2
Win against Arsenal.

Brentford are doing well and they are to get something in this season.
to be fair, both Wolves and Arsenal had a pretty rough start of the season. meanwhile the Bees were super motivated to play in the PL
but, even if Tuchel wants to rest some key players like Lukaku and Rudiger, chelsea SHOULD win this match quite easily with the subs

Nope, they’re too street smart and that Brentford squad is a well drilled unit.  They may not be pretty to watch but they do try to get things done.  I haven’t watched the match vs Chelsea yet but judging from the result it seems they made it look ugly.

Newcastle draw ? I strongly oppose that they'll get as much as draw from match, Tottenham are probably going to get their sh*ts together one way or the other, and I'll give the edge to win it today even if it's got to be narrowly.

West Ham and Everton is about 6 minutes up, and West Ham have indeed started pretty well in attack, this should be entertaining, I guess.

I think these two games of today should be a not so easy win for Everton and maybe an equalizer for Newcastle vs Tottenham. They are going for sure to be good games to watch on TV and I think these games will have nothing to do regarding results comparing to the games of yesterday. Some points recovery is possible with these two games I think.

Chelsea is on the road to secure a win, 0:1 on halftime
Chelsea won in the end but Brentford gave them hell towards the end. It would be much more fair if they managed to equalize. That Mbuemo guy is really unlucky he scored 2 goals this season and hit maybe 7 woodworks if I am counting correctly, he added another 2 tonight.

United in downward spiral, loosing once again. At least we saw very entertaining match with couple of great goals. Not sure if Tielemans went for that goal, it played out perfectly but from position of his foot I am sort of thinking he wanted to cross the ball somewhere on the far post area.

Yeah, Brentford deserved a point --  Play like this and 9 times out of 10 we win, said their boss.

And United's loss was predictable. Just not exactly in the way I imagined (I predicted 1-0). They always conceded first, and then relied on their firepower to get them over the line, but I didn't expect them to take the lead, then surrender it... Still, happy with the correct outcome and the additional slam point. Table is tough as nails.

Holy f*ck what kind of results,Manchester United lost,Norwich didn't lose,Aston Villa lost at home and also Southampton won at home against a relatively bad Leeds in these last couple of weeks.I lost a couple of positions and it was a terrible week so far for most of us with a few exceptions. The only one I got was Liverpool and Manchester City.

This happened to be one of those weeks where It's almost impossible to get anything right, I had Wolves to draw and I was really glad after they came back from two goals down, little did I know there's still another goal to come, Man Utd was another surprising result for me, they lacked everything tactical in the match, It was as if they didn't even know what they're doing.

All I've got so far is 2.5 points, and looks like I'd get 1.5 points more from Brentford vs Chelsea.

[...] I tend to agree. And football's always been enjoyable to me, even if I do think about what it means to the grassroots audience -- without whom there's no history and nostalgia driving my club forward anyway. And the good news, what is obvious, first and foremost, is a firm farewell to Cashley and the joylessness and disdain for his own club that he seemed more and more eager to display even at games. Good riddance.
Let's not talk about sad things ... I still hope that the public and the leadership of other clubs will take this deal for granted, just like it did with Manchester City. The point is not even that Newcastle has not won any trophies for many decades, the fact is that the Champions League and the Europa League urgently need a reboot, because looking at the statistics I see the same clubs in the leaders.

In addition, if Tomorrow Newcastle defeats Spurs, then for me it will be a clear signal that the club is mentally ready for a dash.  Tongue
