He is maybe one of the most underrated managers in the world. I was always saying while he was at Spurs that he is overachieving with that squad and people were complaining that Spurs are not winning trophies. See where they are now without him. He is maybe not as flashy as some other choices but he is very good long term option that will build up the club and maybe some youth players in the process.

Only problem, I am thinking United would rather buy the players, not develop them and I am not sure if Poch is perfect for that kind of team. Zidane would be much better choice if that is their idea going forward.
I'm still one of those people that think Poch isn't all that great. That Tottenham side is a very good side, should definitely be challenging for top 6. Plus, when Harry Kane is happy, and firing on all cylinders that really would improve anyone's chance in the league. I think he's done a rather lackluster job at PSG, and some of his decision making is questionable at best, which I think is overshadowed by the quality players he has at his disposable.

To be honest, as a rival fan if Poch goes to Manchester United, I don't think I'm all that bothered.

I agree, not one of the best managers out there,in fact from some games I have watched from Tottenham I was bored because even when they were in disadvantage this coach was not doing anything to improve his side or at least to tell them to go all in and attack to save something from that game. For people like him where I live right now we have a saying "Man without blood" meaning he does not feel the adrenaline of the game and the team he is managing. That would be a bad move from Manchester United if they get him, nothing will improve for them.

Poch to Man Utd? 👀 https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/59372826

this could be done deal by the end of the week imo,, Poch wants to leave psg and Man utd always wanted him

Wait what, this is so unexpected. If this move actually happens, Poch is probably going to be the first manager to ever handle both Messi and Ronaldo. I dont think that there was any other manager wasnt it? Anyway its not that I dont like him but the pressure is so much higher in Manchester United though, he could have it easier in PSG

way too early...he brought some good energy into the team, the players delivered and the fans were able to enjoy a win, but, they're still 4 pts away from relegation

Well atleast that the main expectation for Gerrard would probably be getting Aston Villa away from the relegation zone so there isnt that much pressure for him but yeah winning one match after losing 5 in a row is pretty good

Gerrard turning around Aston Villa's recent form with a win. Is it too early to get excited?

My first yellow cap this season.
~

Congrats @LFC_Bitcoin!

I remember you hanging around my position in the recent past, and now you have moved 11 places up. Good job!

It gives me hope, I can see that earning 17 points in one round is possible(my personal record 10.5 so far). I still think anyone of us can be in the top 10 in the end. Good luck to all!

I saw a stat somewhere Fabinho & Thiago have only started 12 PL games together. We have won 11 of them & drawn 1. Absolutely imperative they stay fit, that’s been an issue though.
Thiago has just been extremely unlucky, and his injuries haven't really been from strains caused by normal activity, usually its from a Everton player smashing him up. I'm kidding, only partly. However, I'm not too concerned about his injuries, and they have mainly been impact related, which is unavoidable. Whereas, players like Sturridge for example had a new injury every other game.

Fabinho is normally quite fit too if you look over the seasons. I'm expecting a nice run of games for both, especially because Henderson has been quite hit, and miss recently. Some games he plays his normal self, and then other games he not only just goes invisible, but becomes detrimental to the attack, and I'm a big fan of ol' Henderson.

I can agree that Bailly and Wan Bissaka were great in their previous clubs. I still think Wan Bissaka is great even in this United squad. He covers up so much in the back and without him they would be even worse. Maguire is maybe a class but I never liked him, he always looks like he is just minutes away from next disaster. He can only be good in a defense that covers his poor speed, if you leave him to play one on one against fast players it will never look good. The rest are maybe solid players but not top players to fight for League title.

Glazers decision making is really causing a lot of good vibes amongst United competitors. They used international break to pay for Ole vacation Smiley I wrote in some topic that he sent the players on one week vacation and left to Norway.

Wan Bissaka is a good defender. He can shine in a mid-table club where he has to do a lot of 1v1 defending - there he excels the most.

The problem he's facing at United is that United wants to play with the ball as well and he has to participate in attacks. Since they are a quality team, the other teams will always isolate players like Wan Bissaka and they will let them play with the ball. He's terrible at that and is having too much of the ball and is doing too little with it to warrant a place in the team that wants to fight for trophies.

Well done to LFC_Bitcoin for taking the yellow cap in a round where Saturday games were a nightmare for most of us.It just shows that just one good round can make you surpass many places in the standings when most of the persons do really bad.Well now the time has come for a lot and I really mean a lot of fixtures from Saturday 27 November to at least near Christmas time.Whoever does well in these fixtures compared to others most likely is going to be in the top 10 in the end.

@LFC_Bitcoin, congrats, dude! 17 points after international break is solid result. You only managed to predict Norwich win - I guess this result is new manager effect.
For me it was good round too finally, managed to climb up by 7 positions to 31th. I hope that from now I will go up only. As said mutliple times - don't give up too early because few good rounds can improve your position significantly or bring yellow cap. And yeah, there is still 2/3 of season remaining.

17 points in this round would have got you top spot in the other pools I'm in too. That Norwich 3-pointer was something right out of the "Teemu Pukki when you don't expect him" playbook -- nice going @LFC_Bitcoin! Climbed 11 places in the process. That's how it's done!

Happy to maintain my bastard streak, only 3 points separate a scary chasing pack from 2nd to 10th place... Kane's weird stumbling the entire game cost at least 1 goal and almost resulted in a penalty =p

Unfortunately for sportsbet.io, LFC are in mean form now. Thiago & Fabinho both playing together, finally. Southampton next to feel the wrath of the mighty reds haha. I feel naughty for thinking that but hey, you know I love LFC.

Yep, very good result in a week full of surprises. These are the weeks which can propel you up the table when played right.

Spurs looked like total shit in first half but started playing a bit better on second. Still I think they were a bit lucky to walk away with all three points today. Did you guys see the assist from Cancelo to open up the Everton defense, pure class, immediately reminded me of Modric Smiley

Tottenham just leveled against Leeds, hopefully they can now push for a win.

almost third of our pool had 2:1 as result for Tottenham - Leeds
and they won with this result

regarding the match, Leeds is worst than I thought, and Tottenham is not great as well, but match was open and there were a lot of chances for both teams

back to position 8, which is great, top5 is above expectation, trying to stay within 6-10 place range

Having moved up by two positions up to no 8th I don't think I can make any of a complain, but the shitty weeks in general has continued, for the past 5 rounds (including this) no one has been able to get up to 15 points, I guess that shows how unexpected a lot of these matches results have been.

As far as we can see o most everyone had a bad week currently. Im sad because i had big points in the bag and lost them in the last 15 minutes o most of every match. Man Utd lost points i think to all players o most plus Norwich aswell. Really hard week, but weeks like this make a difference on the leaderboard.

agree, there was a surprise on Manchester, but West Ham as well
while all the others came more/less as expected, Norwich win was more on "they have to win sometime" than expected, I actually put Newcastle to win, but they failed, so they will be on "they have to win sometime" list, but all this four came with less than 30% players picked right outcome (West Ham and Manchester below 10%)

The whole Manchester United' defender seems like a joke right. Well atleast I'll finally get to watch a game without Maguire in it, he keeps on making everything worse for some reason lol
Man utd are very unlucky at signing good defenders, the players always look top class in their former clubs, but once they arrive at manchester, they turn into Championship tier players: Bailly, Maguire, Wan bissaka, Blind, Dalot, Phil Jones, Darmian, Marcos Rojo

anyhow, masterclass from the Man utd board, why sack Ole during the international break [and have two weeks to find a proper replacement] when you can sack him now when football is back, put Carrick as coach for the next few games (Villareal, Chelsea, Arsenal) and then sign an interim until the end of the season?? why are the glazers trying to sabotage this club ?  Grin

In my opinion, this is not the first time that Maguire disappoints the fans of MU with his game, for me it remains a mystery why he is still the captain.  Roll Eyes
he might have some leadership in him in the dressing room, but i reckon it's gotta be tough to motivate your teammates when you're the one letting them down over and over again with your dumb mistakes
