It's as though I saw this coming along, I couldn't place support on either team so I settled for a 1 - 1 draw and it looks like it's going to pay off apparently, there is just about two minutes of stoppage time left to play for.

It's not by any means being a typical boring game that you'd have expected from both sides, both team were really explosive and Saint-Maximin would be my player of the game, it's really funny how this game would likely ended with 1 goal apiece, there easily could have been 4 goals here tbvh.

I opened a new topic for Fantasy and answered you there. If there is more of you interested please join us. I love brainstorming about the players but that is not interesting for most of the people here so better to take our discussion elsewhere.

The game between Newcastle and Leeds is going on really close. Leeds are the better performing side and they scored first with the Raphinha's goal also. Newcastle still managed to answer them with Saint-Maximin in the 44th minute. We are in the early minutes of the second half and it is going on 1-1. I still think that Leeds can defeat their opponent in this game. Even though both sides started badly, Leeds are still more powerful. And they were the better side in their last games against each other. It is a good opportunity for Leeds to get their first victory of the season.

If my memory serves me, Pickford was selected based on the results of Euro 2020, but I also have a spare goalkeeper from the Spurs.
I know that he doesn’t play, but I didn’t change it in the hope that he will make itself felt this season (especially since it costs only 5m).
I also like Lukaku, and I will not change him as I already have enough players representing United who bring points.
.I have a full squad including a bench ... by the way I tried to save money on this but found that you cannot complete transfers if you have an empty bench.
Well, I only added Grealish a week ago, and the other two City players are gaining a lot of points among the defenders.

I have been playing fantasy for 5 or 6 seasons, read through many articles and watched numerous videos on topic. So here goes a couple of advices which serve me well.
1. Fantasy is all about staying in front of the curve. After player makes 20 points in one game it is too late to bring him in
2. Never take hits for transfers unless really justified
3. Plan your team for fixtures at least 5 games in future
4. Maximize your points per million, for instance tying up your money in keepers is bad. Much better to take budget keeper and invest that one million more in premium defender.
5. Midfielders get more points for goals and extra point for clean sheet, much better value than strikers to spend big
6. Have minimum 2 big hitters in your team for captaincy but no more then 3, too expensive
7. Avoid Pep roulette, house always wins

Pickford is wasted Everton spot for me, much better to take Digne who should have a lot of assists to his name and budget keeper.
Why Origi he is not playing? Take somebody cheap like Wilson who plays every match and gets involved in half of Newcastle goals. Not at the moment since he is injured but you get the point.
Lukaku is great but Ronaldo has better fixtures at the moment. Don't switch them though since fixture swing is coming shortly. I'll be taking Lukaku in 2 weeks if everything goes by plan.
You did not post your whole team, bench is also important. There should be one or two enablers there (4 M) and at least one good rotation player to cover up absences. I am thinking you don't have one since your first 11 is really expensive.
Rest of the team is ok, but I would never have 3 City players, Pep is most hated guy in fantasy circles for good reason.

Something I can’t figure out how to maximize points from this event, I put together such a stellar team for 100 million, but it still doesn’t gain more than 50 points per week, (Pickford, Cancelo, Alexander-Arnold, Maguire, Dias, Origi, Pogba, McArthur, Grealish, Salah, Lukaku).  

Although I already had a couple of times the thought that maybe I should diversify the team with players from other clubs ... in short, you need to ask Trofo.

Bamford is also in my scoring pick for fantasy, he was so close in the last match with that wonderful chip that most other keepers I think wouldn't have caught. They will always let in one goal I think regardless of who is in defence, so BTTS is the safest prediction. 2-1? 2-2? 3-1?

Tottenham/Chelsea I feel will go to a draw or a big win for Chelsea. Lukaku to score, but also Kane.

I'm not so decided yet, I haven't even made my pick.. I will most likely settle for a draw here, I'm not convinced by either team tbh..

Other than Newcastle playing at home, I would have given Leeds the edge here, but it's a really even situation.

It's not so much a tough week ahead, I'd most likely make all my picks without much stress or checking the stats and/or recent form.

Bumping the thread for today as there is one game going on tonight between Newcastle vs Leeds,a game which I think will produce a great number of goals as both teams will attack hard.Also do not forget to put your predictions for the games of this week as even a missing week can be crucial to dictate your final standing after the complete Premier League season,so don't forget.

Apparently he still injured as Steve Bruce reveal that Joe Willock, Ciaran Clark and Javier Manquillo all picked up knocks in the defeat to Manchester United last weekends, and he didn't mention anything or any update on Wilson so it's not clear yet when he is going to return back on training atleast.
And For Leeds Bamford is back with them not being able to score last match against Liverpool I think that they are going to get one but also Newcastle since Leeds have problems in their CBs some still injured and Struijk is suspended for Red card.

for tomorrow's game i bet on a close home win. both clubs are still without a win but here i see newcastle a bit more in advantage.
and to that, as with other participants, i need a few 3 points predictions to climb a few places up the table

Is Wilson back from injury? I am not backing Newcastle to get any points until he gets back in first 11. I would say he is involved in about 60% of their goals but that could be fantasy bias when I don't own him and he always gets the points Too lazy to check actual stats.

I am going with Leeds here, time to get that 3 points and start climbing the table. Bamford has had a slow start so I am expecting him to pull the team a bit this week and make amends.

Don't forget there's a sneaky Friday kick off tomorrow between Newcastle and Leeds. Quite a hard game to call given both team's recent performances and neither team have yet to pick up a full three points. Leeds are probably the better/stronger team but have obviously underperformed so far.


16 points is nothing. That's a good round so anyone who has one can find themselves shooting up the table.

Ya don't worry at all. I have seen it all, being bottom and being top, and everything changes in 1 round, sometimes 2 or 3 rounds. One yellow cap is all you need to get anyway to get your entry fee back so just aim for that and then play without pressure:)

Championship was crazy in this 2 days just like UCL as for me it was impossible to catch a bet.

I went up to the 41st place from the 45th place this week. Although I still don't have the performance that I want, I had a better week compared to the other ones. Even though I'm at the 41st place, there is only a 16-point gap with the leader. I still hope that I can go up to the upper places in the coming weeks.

Was robbed in injury time for a perfect 0-0 score on the Brentford/Brighton game. That had a bore draw written all over it and 48% of the players in the pool backed the draw.

Missed out on a perfect score on the Liverpool match by one goal as Leeds failed to score. Shame Bamford didn't score that 30 yard lob he did on Allison who only just manged to get back to push it over the bar. The sending off of Struijk was an interesting one. I don't think it was a card at all and just unfortunate. The ref let the game play on until he saw the extent of the injury and then gave him a straight red five minutes later. Cooper almost did the exact same tackle later on in the game on (I think) Salah and nothing happened there and the game carried on as it should have. If it wasn't for the injury then I doubt any card would have been given. I wonder if it will get rescinded?

Sorry it's such short notice but I didn't realise it was kicking off today. Maybe we can just play for fun or the sponsorship money if I can get any but regardless if you're considering paying just make sure your scores are in and they will carry over to the pool once you join.

There hasn't been many games yet so points spread is rather small. No surprise than that we have several participants with same amount of points. Granted, it is much rarer and more interesting when it is a tie for first place.

This early in season one good week can propel anybody 10 or even 20 places up the table.

@swogerino: Early season, so all kinds of records will look possible. Both yellows were very low. This week 15 points wins it, and that's the gap between 1st and 40th position, so no one should be counting on their positions to remain after only 10% of the season.

Definitely a good start for me here AND in Serie A. This is what happens when I just go with the expected outcomes and don't always hope for upsets haha. Gotta say there will surely be someone getting 2 yellows in a row. This pool is full of pretty damn good bastards.


I don't mind TAA doing that as long as he continues his fine rate of assist. England playing him in midfield seemed to have put his off course for a while... and Mane, yeah, I think he's frustrated with himself too. As long as he keeps trying, I don't mind. We just need them to keep creating and trying. The danger is when they start losing confidence.


Trust me, it's not so strange to perform better without the burden of betting money sometimes! I am enjoying this different approach to the season as well. Why don't you think it'll last? toma practically led 90% of last season!
