I would not pick Rublev on clay if he was the only top 50 player there. He lost, no surprise there - I feel this will be between Ruud and Tsitsipas again.

Nadal was dominant today, there are a lot of submissions close to the deadline that have him (they were waiting for his win). It's great to have him back, but he's got De Minaur next - this is where I feel he is ending the tournament.
It is a risky pick, he hasn't played competitive tennis in a while.

We have 2 players that did not submit, both from Division 3 - BitcoinHunt3r and Spack17.

All VAR's have been inserted as well, if yours isn't changed let me know.

It seem like an unusual calm before the storm in here, there's just been a handful of answers submitted until now, are we looking at a major no submission or it's the Tennis everyone is keeping an eye out for ?

I think that 20 people are yet to submit their answers. I almost forgot because no one posted here and the bot didn't remind me. Thankfully I remembered to submit, but I'm not sure what to expect from this round. Maybe it's best to expect a loss and then be surprised if I win Grin
I don't see why would anyone wait for tennis this week. All the favorites are playing tomorrow and only one whose match was worth seeing is over. Not gonna comment more before the deadline but really looking forward to seeing what he can do. I submitted quite early for my standards today, had to leave work a bit earlier.

If anyone wanted to back Rublev, it would have made sense to wait since he played today, unexpectedly he lost his match, I wouldn't have backed him anyways, I had Nadal and Tsitsipas, despite being in the same bracket, I guess I fancy either of them than anyone from the 2nd seed bracket. Anyone taking a risk with Nadal too would have had enough time to reconsider their choice since they can see him play today, and predict whether or not he stands a chance against the rest from his bracket, provided he stays fit.
Nadal was the one I was talking about. Nadal in Barcelona, even if not match fit and playing his first clay match in what 2 years maybe, still is gonna be force to contend with. Rublev is out of form currently and never even crossed my mind. The two of them played one set in training and Nadal won 6:1. Rublev said that he couldn't even be a proper training partner for Nadal so....

So close on picking Nadal then I decided to just go with classic Tsitsipas and Ruud for the final because this is Nadal's first tournament after injury so Im not really sure how far will he progress in this tournament. Meanwhile those two were incredible on the last tournament so Im expecting atleast Tsitsipas will be able to get through to the final again

Heck I can't believe that I picked Tsitsipas all over again after decided not to ever pick him as my answers, I hope this better be a good decision

I agree. I didn't want to submit yesterday just because of the tennis question. But I didn't even check the schedule. I normally always wait for Tuesday to submit when there is tennis involved.

Hey fellas, I received a few VAR's, didn't reply to any of them yet. I'm currently travelling and then have to hurry to submit BSFL, CL predictor and a few other things.

All VAR's that have been sent will be valid, don't worry if you haven't received an answer yet Smiley

The Bot only works about 3 times now and it's not on Tuesdays or even Mondays, of course except your opponent fancies playing against you and there is trash talks and/or side bets about it, that's one of the reason to miss the Sheriff in the first division, he never stops even when you're handing him his arse... The only notifications often comes now when the table is being updated, and the questions are posted, which fairly more than enough for anyone duly interested imo.

I took some really safe call for this round, it's not atypical of me, but I don't I would have against a usual opponent, this probably the most mixed I can be in terms of going offensive and defensive in the same round, for some questions it was about securing at least a draw, while for some it was a "f*ck it all, que sera sera" decision for me, lol.

I think this has been discussed prior, it's likely going to affect not just division 2, but an additional person getting promoted from division 3 should be the play here.

Yeah, I guess that's the best way to sort this out. I don't remember a discussion about it. I just wanted to be sure that there is one less team to get relegated from division 1. It could be important rule for me at the end of the season Grin

Everything goes same as if he is playing. That is one team that is certain to be relegated and that is it.

At least you will not be last in the league  Grin

OK, that's good to hear. But won't there be a missing team in the division 2 since he's not playing? If he was playing and finishes last, he would have been relegated into the division 2. So, wither we'll have one team less in division 2 or will there be one team more that will get promoted from divisions 3 and take casperBGD place?

@Trofo and @cryptofrka, now that casperBGD has withdrew from the competition, how will relegation at the end of the season go? Will there be two or three direct relegation spots? By the way I'm playing this season, I guess it's time for me to start asking this kind of questions Sad

My current position is very difficult as I am in the relegation zone. Although the round has just started, it seems that it will be difficult to reach the middle and even the top position.

Ready or not, I must be ready to face you and I should win.

Welcome to the club! I'm still waiting for my first victory in this season. In every round I hope that I will be able to break this losing streak, but in the end, I always end up losing the round.

Congrats I never stood a chance  Embarrassed

One thing is for sure 3B is way too competitive 6 wins should secure a playoff place but easier said than done.

Celebrating my 10th place like it's the title, I need to whip my squad into shape, we can't just get past the season beating the leaders, we have to do it every time, against every team.

Ready for me, mitchr4?

Can't see myself losing two bets in a row.
Hey @Renato297, friendly 1 mBTC side bet?  Smiley

I don't know what is victory this season, (I won 3 points when my rival didn't show up), sorry but I can't accept your challenge

Oh!, in the "W"x2: 3 points + Freebet, and discounting the SD, which becomes increasingly important, since the 6th place is there for that "freaky" +4 (SD).

Anyway, I did the job Round 6, beating those above, that leaves round 7 with a crucial match for the "mathematical*" aspirations of all of us who in that idea can have a chance; goodpunt vs shogun47, an early final, we could be defining, the winner* of Div 3B, in the case of winning shogun47.

But "<*_*>" is the one who rules until the end.

New round and my team is very motivated😁 My opponent for this round is notblox1, who I have good memories of when we met last time in the cup where I won already after a few hours hahaha😁 Let's hope the same happens again😁😁
Give your best shot my friend, I am always the biggest underdog.
This is derby of top positions in Division 1 and one of us could continue to climb to the top of the table.
I think goal difference could be very important this season in BSFL.

@notblox1 which Negan are we talking about, bad Negan or not so bad Negan getting old? lol

London Marathon, today this Beijing edition had some controversy. Totally not rigged (watch the video): https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20240415-beijing-half-marathon-probes-embarrassing-win-by-chinese-runner
How can we see everyone who is participating in London Marathon and favorites?
I could not found odds anywhere, and nothing on flashscore website.

That play-in bracket thing (trust that they come up with such a term haha) looks suspiciously like the top/bottom e-Sports brackets of Dream League. Oh, it's okay, we can lose this one but win the next one and make sure we end up as a lower seed.

I don't hate basketball, or any sport really (don't ask me about cricket or I'll upset some people) but these systems are just so dire, aren't they?

Request: let's have a really weird "not sports but not not sports either" like The Amazing Race =p

To me all American sports look more like a show than a competition. It doesn't matter will the best team win, the most important part is that crowd gets a good time. I don't like that. The best team should be the one who wins the most games in a season, not the one who barely gets to the playoffs and then somehow wins several games. But OK... I have wondered off Grin

@cryptofrka, like I said, my post wasn't a complaint about hard questions. It's just a statement that the questions are harder to answer now then in the first two seasons. But that's OK. It just means that you two are constantly upgrading your work.

Oh man... Did you have to put NBA in the questions? I hate American style of leagues where you can play well all year, but if you lose four games in the playoff, it's like you did nothing. Now with that play-in tournament I see that in basketball is not the same as in ice hockey. Also, I hate basketball Grin
