Pegula and Rybakina out please so I can sit easy on that question needing only one more person out, but I'm glad CLS63 chose all 5 to go through so the worst I can do is draw on that one Wink I was actually expecting Swiatek and Coco out first, but I take anyone willing to leave early Smiley
~snip

Rybakina is still in
after losing break, she got it back, and won second set
just to lose third game in third set as well (what a coincidence), and it is now 4:4 in third set, basically anything can happen as I type

since I need all of them to win all matches, maybe it is more likely to hope that two more will exit till Sunday, so cryptofrka and I draw on that question
edit: Rybakina just lost ninth game, so 4:5, Blinkova serve for the match
edit2: shitshow, Blinkova lost her serve, but Rybakina lost another one as well, so Blinkova serve for the match one more time

Seeds mean nothing in tennis for women, sorry but that is the lesson of 3 seasons of BSFL!!

Oh, sheriff, what have you done? You gave easy points to Trofo, your nemesis.

This is literally the headline for the next BSFL article, I can't believe the Sheriff fell asleep on duty, especially with the villains around town, what excuse could he possibly have ?

Scandal!! This is the only thing that must capture the headline, the body and the summary. Full investigation and penalty for next season, that's the only thing that is fair my god sheriff, you really fooled us all!

If we had been asked to answer the WTA just like ATP, I most definitely would have had Pegula on a No, too bad Ons Jabeur is out of the top 5, she would have made my answer much more easier since she got eliminated in a similar fashion too.

didn't expected to see Pegula out, and she actually had first break in both sets, but could not stick on it
my pick to get out was Rybakina, hopefully she will stay in

as per schedule, all remaining have two matches till Sunday morning (Rybakina will complete three matches till then, all other players will get to four)
important point is on the line here, but two other are lining today for me
Ivory Coast to beat Nigeria, in a 1:1 AFCON tournament so far (5 draws first round, four 1:1), and Viola to get through in Super cup

edit: Rybakina is down in second set as well, after 40:0 she lost five consecutive points on her serve, is that even possible for top player

Welcome to the WTA where rankings often is nothing but a number and form is almost everything, Rybakina have restored parity and the game is heading towards a deciding set, but it's still anyone's game even though the odds are in favour of Rybakina.

I'll for the line up before calling my shot on the Super Eagles, but I doubt I'll be able to take a stance because of allegiance and bias, my perception will likely be skewed.

WTA is like a box of chocolate you never know what you're gonna get. Here goes Iga stinking up the joint. Goddammit!!!

Iga Swiatek was able to overcome the early setback from the second set, but here we go with Pegula!!

Jessica Pegula just got booted out of Australian Open by Burel in straight freaking set, I watched the game from beginning to the end, Pegula had an early to begin the game, but end up losing 6-4, 6-2, unbefreakinglievable, but that's by the way, now I need the double fault queen (Sabalenka and one other top 5 to drop before sunday  Grin Cheesy)

Bro I had the greatest feeling that she in particular would be the first to go. So disappointed in myself. Grin

Iga's a beast!! Now here goes Pegula that I had a feeling would be the first top seed to get booted. Going against the gut as usual might cost me a point here SMH.

No, they always overperform. Football, handball, waterpolo... I think they start out knowing they're not the best, get really far, and then eventually quality and overall technique cost them the ultimate prize.

Just like Cro2 *cough cough cough*

That's some really bold shade on our fellas man!

However, I couldn't help but agree more given how much of big talker Frka was before the beginning of dinning with big dawgs, but here we are, and his twin also needed a freebie in this round from the Sheriff to stay quite head above waters  Grin

-----------------------

I don't know what to expect from the Cote d'Ivore vs Nigeria today in AFCON, I didn't watch the first game so I can't make too much of conclusion, but I sure wouldn't be missing a minute of the thriller today, I have my arse on the line for the match  Lips sealed

You are getting tired of me?!  Angry
Be happy that I allowed you to win against me and have satisfaction for that in the end of the season.
This was the price I had to pay to participate in this corrupt monetary system.

True. I was paid to pass on this round so I'm calling on the FA body to postpone the game and punish Igebotz and Trofo team respectfully for match fixing. Give us a rematch  Cheesy
Yes I am all for rematch but in arena without fans but with live broadcast.
You two should fight in MMA octagon cage to see who is better , and I want to bet on that fight  Grin

Oh wow! Me and mv1986 have only two different answers. It's the first one which will settle today (and I hope that Croatia will win as they are leading 5-3 in the first quesrter). The second is the last question so we will have to wait to see who wins it. But whoever wins today is sure not to lose this round.

Hey slackovic, only now did I find the time to really follow up on some of the things, but it was a close fight between Croatia and Spain obviously and ended in my favor. I usually wish my opponents the best of luck, but wasn't around as here as I would have liked to. So I'll make up for it now by wishing you good luck, but

Quote
This round I'm again up against a close team on the table - mv1986. After suffering a big loss against Harkorede I hope he will continue a losing streak Grin

I feel the last part here has already been decided to not become true! Wink Anyway, good luck for the tennis question (if I see it correctly, that's the decider).

So far all top 5 Australian open seeds are still in play, but when you follow it, you can see how crazy inconsistent WTA tour is. Ons Jabeur is one of best players and she is getting destroyed by teenager Andreeva (probably future Grand Slam winner) 0:6, 2:6. I think it summarizes very well why Jabeur still haven't won Grand Slam as she is looking weak mentally.

^Yeah Sainz finished this day bottom of the pile, but importantly, his closest rival has a huge penalty (and also ran into problems just after he did) so the lead still looks strong. Two more days to go, whichever team makes mistakes first will not win.
Sainz is lucky that Loeb had lot of problems today too, so, he didn't lost that much time. Probably tomorrow's stage will be decisive - 420 km with some rocks where you can crash your car or have to change tyres several time. While last stage will be short and difficult to change something, unless you will have problems with your car.

Always gotta expect the unexpected bro, like I thought Germany would've had a chance and they blew it when they were tied as well. But all is well still have a-lot to go this round good luck to you bro. Grin Grin

I was following the game like minute by minute on flashscore so thats really frustated me because I thought Croatia would be winning this but oh well If only Croatia scored a single point on the 4th quarter then the game would have gone into extra time so there is still a good chance that they might make it  Undecided. Well 3 more different answers between me and @chi20 so its going to be rough

-sni

Is it safe to say Croatia just aren't built for Gold Medals on the grandest of stages ?

I guess they are not because they have gotten pretty soft on that 4 quarter which really costed them. I dont really watch the game but were the players out of steam? I mean they were better on 1st to 3rd quarter though. Too bad indeed

And to appear more foolish. I've been online conversing with jeremypwr all day and forgot to enter my answers. Trofo enjoys that one. I won't be able to sleep this week knowing I gave you 3 free points.

Maybe trofo sent jeremypwr to distract me? Yeah I'm going to investigate.

What the actual, Ige? I would never in my life think you'd forget a single pick from now on (but it happens to all of us I know, maybe my turn one day). This is way too fishy to be coincidence. A bad, bad, bad, bad sign for the Sheriff, whom we all rely on to ensure fairness.

Man, this is genuinely bad for me It shouldn't have been against Trofo at all; I personally set aside $50 for GW12 sidebet all season, and then I disappeared on a match day, and I'm telling you that Sherrif was kidnapped by Trofo folks. Ban him  Smiley

Kidding aside - I'm pained.

Look at you misquoting me, naughty naughty. Continue like this and we'll take the badge off of ya.
Not sure whose quote this is, but ain't mine - I root for my partner this year so I have an easier Div1 experience.

I think both of you should be punished for breaking rules and for illegal activity, and I am calling for INTERPOL and F1FA intervention asap.
Shame on you!

Sainz is still in the lead in the Dakar race, but Loeb is cutting the difference. The answer here's the same for me and casperBGD but I enjoy tracking it - I really hope Carlos gets it.

I was confident going with Spain knowing they lost one of their group games and I almost had them in the previous week question to not qualify, but seeing how they turn things around, it's was only logical that I give them benefit of the doubt to triumph here, which they did, so regardless of the result, if feels good to have started from where I left last week 2 of 2 so far for this round.

Hardly my fault if your team sells out for 200$ apiece. That just means you are cheap bastard  Grin No wander players deserted you when you needed them the most.

Kidding aside, these points will come handy but I would prefer if it was a good all fashioned beating on the pitch.

Lol. Deep down, this was a dream come true for you because there was no way you could ever defeat me. You knew I was drunk and asleep someplace, yet you never bothered to beep me if you really wanted to battle it out.. You lucky bastard.

race started, but it doesn't look good for Sainz after first half-hour, he is missing out from first check-point, and it could mean a big delay
late change for him to win (had him between 2nd and 5th first), but cryptofrka has same answer, so at least will not put me down

waiting for football on Thursday, France won with 3 goals, but I was thinking between draw and 1-2 goal win, so no regrets there

interesting enough, we have 6 different answers, but all the same where you need to pick five different outcomes in a question
