Did anyone watch Cardiff vs Ipswich ? This gotta be one of the wildest comeback I've seen. I only needed Cardiff to score 1 goal to get a draw, that would be enough for Leeds to get that 2nd placement but dang I cant believe they win

Caught the last 10 minutes, it was intense, yeah.
Cardiff's comeback gives me a win already, a nice start to the season in the lower leagues.

Can't wait for the LFC - City game tomorrow, and I'm glad it counts for nothing because I picked City to win and I wouldn't be able to cheer for that Grin

@ralle14 : I guess we are equal for now and yeah the last two question will be settled by tomorrow so I think we are chilling for tonight and then just enjoy the game. This is exciting though, I thought I was losing the round after Ipswich scored their 1st goal

We are 3-3 now thanks to Durant, we will see what happens.

We don't even get a clue about things at the end of today. Have to wait for tomorrow for everything. I'm slightly regretting why I chose  2 goals for Ollie Watkins, I mean, am I being too disrespecting of Spurs? lol

Yeah, I fell asleep mid-game and then marked incorrectly.

Sounds like me most times I stay up to watch football. I'm usually outside with coffee when this happens so I can't really lie down to sleep, but it's late and my mind "sleeps" while my eyes are open. Football probably makes me lose over 0.5 year of my life I calculated with friends recently based on average watching 2 entire teams all matches per season, you spend about 8 days a season (including travel time to watch). That's not including World Cup and all that. I watched football since 20, now 20 seasons Tongue

And now I'm sure that Trofo will write some stuff why they probably won't be in the final to crush my dreams Grin
Falcons are by far the best team in this tournament so them winning would be sort of expected. Of course anything can hapen and there are teams like Gaimin Gladiators or Spirit that are known to raise they game as the stakes get higher. So I would say only Spirit can stop them now if they decide this is important enough to play their best game.

Did you before hand know well about the Falcons prior to setting this question or this tournament, because the name doesn't ring a bell as far as I've been following e-Sport, I know you can just get to see a new team name or notice them in a new grand or regional tournaments but I don't remember ever coming across Team Falcons but being unbeaten having won against teams I would have considered big favorites in straight maps is the motive behind me choosing to go with them.
No, when I was making the question I just knew they were doing good. In the meantime I watched and made a lot of bets and learned much more. They are high in confidence and they execute perfectly, that allows them more freedom in draft and they don't have to worry about opposition that much.

They are new team but all the players in it are well known and have played for the top teams in the past. I guess they found the right combo and just clicked.

Take what i said above with grain of salt since I am following DOTA sporadically. I have intense phases around big tournaments when I am in the know and then I switch off for couple of months and miss all the transfers, patches and updates that happen in the meantime. So I get back to the track in second week of big tournaments. For instance I know most of the players from team Falcons and I remember watching them on big stage but I can't tell you which team they were playing for in the past. Nowhere near as knowledgeable about DOTA as I am about football or tennis but bookies are even worse so a little bit of knowledge in eSports translates to much better winnings than all the knowledge in the world in competition like Champions League.

Had a pretty good result in my first round of the competition, leading by 3:1 and I didn't think @goodpunt could make a comeback, good luck @goodpunt.

-snip

These really are the kind of game weeks I hate so much when there just way too many common answers between you and your opponents, and you remain nothing but spectating on the sidelines all week long until Sunday where you'd almost be having a high BP due to one or two question differentials. Knowing my fate might lies between Manchester City vs Liverpool match is not making me look too forward to the game as I would have as a neutral just enjoying what's supposed to be an interesting fixture.[/quote]

ikr, its more exciting when there are either alot of different answers throughout the week rather than having to wait until the last game to settle the round. Its either this or probably gets things settled in like the first 5 questions though which is kinda rare for it to happen I guess

Leeds looks a sealed deal already with their 2 goals advantage and 18 minutes to go, but Ipswich would have to win their own fixture too in order to get back ahead on the league table. However, just like most of the results in so far, it doesn't have any effect on my fixture.

Looks like they did, now all I gotta need is Ipswich to either lose the game or gets a draw tomorrow. Leeds is still going to be getting that 2nd place even with a draw from Ipswich because of the goal differences. Come on Cardiff !

We are down 4:2 and I think our team just lost first game in Division 1 designer derby
Our players got very nervous and didnt perform like everyone expected, but we had formidable opponent on the other side.
I only hope Ipswich wins tomorrow to have better goal difference in the end.

Don't know much about NBA (actually, know next to nothing) but my pick was based purely on average points per minute of the last few games and Durant was so far behind I didn't even consider him. Then he posts a haul way above his average. That's how it goes for BSFL, doesn't it?
He is one of the highest scoring players in the NBA but I made a mistake putting my trust in Jason Tatum more  Tongue

I'm starting to lose my footing in the duel, and now arallmuus is only one point behind to tie the scoreline.

I need Sheffield Wednesday later to have a miracle performance and force Leeds to a draw or maybe an outright win.  Grin

Oh come on, you are still 1 point ahead and that is huge for now because there are chances that we both might not get any points from question #8 and #9 unlike question #7 which is 50 50. Even as of now, Ipswich is still ahead of Leeds so unless they got a draw or lose their next game then Im screwed for real. Well obviously this is the price I paid for my stupidity on question #4 by answering all YES  Roll Eyes

It looks like I managed to decrease Slissy's lead to only one point after Durant scored 35 points, while both Tatum and Curry scored 15 points. Slissy I won't let you win that easily Grin

Damn!! I knew I should have chosen Durant!! Omg now I'm having flashbacks from the last time we played, I was leading 2-1 and there were 2 questions left and both were on Sunday, The same is happening right now😂

Haha. And I hope that the same result will happen again in this season. I don't see why it wouldn't Grin

I just check the DOTA playoff schedule. It's weird to see that the top two teams play against each other in the upper bracket final, but I guess that's how it goes in the bracket format. Anyway I hope Falcons will win it in the end. And of course, I don't see why Watkins wouldn't score one goal in the game against Liverpool. They need to defend five point difference to keep the fourth place that leads to the UCL next season.

CLS63 had I known Falcons were all-stars, I'd have picked them to win, but on hindsight, I want an OG to prove themselves. Never mind, I'll consider you win DOTA and we have 3-3. That leaves Ollie and Liverpool to take me home. Books only give City the slight favourites edge but that's too much respect for Liverpool squad in tatters (Konate also got injured last night). If I were a neutral, 22/10 on City? Absolute value.

Thanks for the update, I have totally forgotten to keep tabs on the DOTA question, I think I now have a very good edge over mitchr4, because Shopify Rebelion have been eliminated, while I have both Falcons and BetBoom to reach the finals and Falcons as the winner,  I just need Falcons to at least win the first upper bracket playoffs against BetBoom.

Trofo and cryptofrka, what happened in the Real - Leipzig question? I see that everyone that answered "Under 2.5 goals, both to score - no" got a green check while that's not correct answer since the game ended 1-1. That means that the correct answer should be "Under 2.5 goals, both to score - yes", but no one answered like that. Did I miss something here?

Yeah, I fell asleep mid-game and then marked incorrectly.
Going through the thread now to see if I messed something else as well, seems that this was the only thing.

We would have seen this eventually though - we always make additional checks.

Sorry for the general absence as well - this and next week are crazy tempo for me. But you've got Mini Me lurking around ready to assist.

Dinamo-PAOK in ~20 minutes. Can't wait.  Grin

PAOK was horrible but fair play to Dinamo as well. Looked like a routine win, let's hope there won't be any surprises in Greece.

Durant was the obvious NBA pick for me, shame that Jinetics1111 had him as well. I am a goal up and the worst I can do is draw, it's all in Ipswich's hands.

Liverpool in the past have had stronger lineups, I don't ever recall ever getting odds lower than 3/1 versus City. That's just sentiment going to the market. Sadly, I'm part of it. COYR!

And they are out, like you said, and as I predicted too. Now the only thing is that I still need Falcon to get to the final to get my point here, the worst is if BetBoom wins then it becomes a draw anyway Smiley

3:2 for me now, I would prefer a better start but it's always tight in BSFL Renato!!

Damn Steph Curry!

You have 90% won the Dota question, I did not analyze that question, I only chose as it was in the question and that can cost me, I do not like Dota that even the team loses the semifinal, then then they have another chance to reach the final.

We are 3-3 now thanks to Durant, we will see what happens.

Oh, I definitely didn't see this coming. I expected something like - yeah, they were good until now, but their best player just broke his middle finger in the last game and he can't play anymore Grin Anyway, thanks for confirming my expectations. Of course anything can happen just like Leverkusen almost lost last night game against Qarabag if it weren't for that last minute goal.

I can’t say Durant putting up 35 points was a fluke but then to be very honest Steph Curry and Tatum scoring 15 apiece seem more like a voodoo at work, I didn’t by any chance considered KD to be up for a pick for this match up, Booker is out and Toronto Raptors are the weakest opponent of the 3 opponents, but these are the games Tatum and Curry live for and it was quite an odd outing for both players.

I'm not following basketball at all so I really had no idea who to choose. I just checked their stats for this season and went with Durant because I think he had the best stats. Being voodoo or not, I'm happy that I managed to come closer to Slissy. We still have two more different answers (Aston Villa and DOTA) so it will be interesting. I hope that Watkins will score one goal which would make us even before the final DOTA question. I see that Team Falcon is still undefeated in the group stage with "goal" difference 14-1 so I like my chances. And now I'm sure that Trofo will write some stuff why they probably won't be in the final to crush my dreams Grin
