I've never been anti-Pep; he's easily the greatest coach of our generation; nevertheless, I've always been against City winning the Champions League in order to match Chelsea's successes at the current pace.

The last time we were in the CL, we had the worst league result and nevertheless advanced to the quarter-finals after beating AC Milan at home and away, ending Dortmund's unbeaten run and knocking them out.

Chelsea will easily qualify from the groups of AC Millan, Dotmund, and PSG. The only two occasions we did not advance from the group stage, we went undefeated in the Europa League.

Regardless of experience, there is always a first time first for everything, and from AC Milan injury list Kalulu is about the only player there that can be considered an integral part of the squad or a regular starter, Newcastle were a tad unlucky yesterday because they were the better team, in my candid opinion..

However, they got themselves in this mess or position after losing home and away to Dortmund, I guess that was the worse thing that could happened to them, after getting a win from PSG, a draw from Milan in the first, Dortmund should have been the least of their worries and they should have done better in those games, 3 point from either game could have saw them qualify for the next round or at least spot in the Europa League, but there is no point beating a dead horse, they are still in good position to make run to be present in next season champions league too, so maybe it's a lesson learnt already for them.

Both pulisic and Giroud are multiple European champions! Thats where the experience comes in. Respect

Yes, Dortmund and AC Milan have more experienced players than Newcastle United! The only surprise was PSG's equalizing and sending AC to the Europa; everyone knew Newcastle wouldn't advance from their group.  They sold you guys false dreams with the only win against PSG ( the only good game they had in the entire fixtures)

Players to advance past group stage ? Would you say AC Milan and Dortmund both have players better than that of Newcastle ? I would strongly disagree on that opinion, Newcastle might have lacked the experience for playing in Europe but not the players, and Newcastle are injury plagued, while the couple of players that returned are still not at a 100% match fitness level, but I don't quite agree that an AC Milan squad that is playing its attack with Leao, Giroud and a Pulisic that couldn't make a name for himself when he was playing in the premier league are better than Newcastle best attacking options without any injury crisis.

Yes, I'd rather have average players eating their salaries at home than messing things up. Some players in the Chelsea team should be dropped to make room for more experienced players, in my opinion. For example, Broja, Cucurella, and three more.

A truly bizarre thing happened as well - Jinetics1111 used VAR for the 2nd round and switched his answer to question 3 from Chelsea to Liverpool.
Unfortunately for him, Liverpool isn't even a part of the question. He sent the same message to both, so it wasn't a mistake - we consulted each other and decided to change it to the impossible option. Sorry Jinetics1111 - but it's the only possible choice.

Well around 5 more minutes to go and it seem Shaktar Donetsk wont really score 3 more goals in the meantime to force a draw so yeah I guess Im officially out of the cup even on the 1st round which is totally sucks. Good luck on your next round 


Ikr and yeah with lack of playing time, that would affect their career but some players doesnt really seems to take this seriously because they got a payload every week. Well some player could be under performed due to several reasons then he gets sidelined onto the bench, sure pay this guy his check because he probably would get back in form and would be a good backup on the bench but in some player case like Sancho, its just lame to keep getting his paycheck like that
