Can we include one test AI team next season in Division 4 with only machine answers, to see if AI can predict outcomes better than humans?
If AI wins anything or goes in higher divisions all money goes back to the pool, and it should be fun experiment for next season.
That opens several possible problems for me, just on top of my head without giving it much thought
1. Who will do that and waste his time to feed questions to AI and then send responses?
2. If AI is successful we have killed the league. Everyone will start using it. Just check what AI models have been doing in FPL. Everyone with same stats and similar teams.
3. I don't expect AI to be any good at it so don't have a wish to try it out. If it were, there would be a lot less bookies around and many more millionaires.

AI would draw its answers from the same data pool that the odds provider uses to determine their odds right ? and I'd agree that AI would be less successful here, but perhaps maybe an AI team would not get relegated but, I strongly don't see it winning any division, it's likely going to be mid team dweller.

-----------------------------------

I was curios about the Sinner vs Fritz tennis match being offered at 1.15 and 5.50 Odds respectively, upon checking the odds seemed super justified giving how terrif Jannik have been on tour this year, I might have lost track of his record, he's only lost 1 of his last 30 matches, crazy right ?!! Should be a straight set affairs against the American, I'd say.

Good luck to you cup bros. I support dittoup and vivek, for no reason that I seldom see them posting here Tongue

I thought AI is still bad in football. The expensive AI is updated but most free AI still cannot keep up with current data. I remember for fun I asked this season about La Liga and it told me things that were so old like players who left the club last season.

Whoever is dumb enough to buy AI and use it in FPL deserves to lose. Especially knowing their rivals also using AI.

Do you guys have an opinion about questions 10?  and for question number 7 I think it's based on luck.

Q7 has been rated - Jon Jones won with a TKO in the 3rd round of the fight. That means you have a 1 goal lead before the last question.

For me Q10 is more luck based than Q7 was - I don't expect many goals in the game but if one is scored early it will change the outlook of the whole match.

hosseinimr93 vs Dittoup : hosseinimr93 Lead with a score 3-2 and only one question left number 10 while 2 other questions they answer the same so the opportunity for @hosseinimr93 is a draw or win.

vivekdhyani1 vs BitcoinHunt3r : Both of them collected 4 points and 2 more points still available number 7 and 10 so the opportunity is  same 50-50 there is a possibility going through a penalty question.

I was considering selling my club when the idea first floated around, just to "challenge" myself in a lower division. But I might actually relegate and get that challenge free of charge anyway. How the turn tables...

Netflix fucked me up, wake up middle of the night to screwed back to sleep. This is the same people trying to buy premier TV right from Skysports? It was a money grabbing fight to set Tyson for life, they both knew what they were doing. Was good to see iron fist back to the ring again.

Like a rookie I stayed up to watch. Event was at 2am, but I realised about an hour in that Tyson would only fight around 6am. Wasted my life watching the first fight, tuned out during the second (which was at least a bit better) but should have watched the third, apparently.

Boxing has really changed in my perspective (and I should say I last watched it properly in the 1990s!). In Argentina last week, an influencer joined a football club and played for a brief few minutes and that caused a (justified) uproar. Seems that people are much more forgiving in pro boxing.

Nothing against influencers, but amateur boxing has its place, doesn't it?

1. Selling of league position is final. Seller gets the money, new owner gets place in higher division and higher fee for maybe 2 seasons.
There must be a piece of money that goes to BSFL reward pool and we can't make it as percentage of sales since you guys can cheat on it then.
Selling a position sounds good, but new teams should be ready familiar with the rules and ready to start quickly.
We cant prevent manipulations and cheating if big money is involved, but you can set big fines if someone tries to cheat in any way.
Only reason for me selling my BSFL position is if I stop being active in forum, but that wont be cheap.

How about we see it this way - TeamB from Division 3 acquires a TeamA from Division 1, and TeamA goes to Division 3 to take the TeamB slot, while TeamB moves to Division 1 to occupy the TeamA slot. This way, relegation and tables are unaffected, and we don't lose strong players who want to sell but aren't driven enough to start from scratch. Eh?

Swapping should be the right word.

Yep, we expect most deals to be swaps. Initially we were against it, but the penalty if you sell a club is a bit too high. If you swap, it can be smaller.

Did you see the leaked Tyson contract? If he won with knockout in first round he gets nothing, second round gets him peanuts. For big money, fight had to full rounds and be decided by judges.

And here is a twist. All judges were selected by Paul. Don't know if it is legit by I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

Seriously? Grin
Nothing really surprises me here, it was idiotic from the start anyway.

In my opinion, we should minimize the chance of people wanting to sell their position and there should be some penalties for people doing so.

Agreed, we haven't decided yet but the teams that are transferred will surely have to pay some kind of fee. It will either be a fixed fee or a percentage of that year's winnings that will be added to the league rewards.

Club selling has multiple purposes - the main one is to allow new players to instantly start having the best experience if they buy the club.
The second one is to give people outside of the top leagues even more incentive to play - if they can sell the club and then return again from the lowest league and play committed for profit, that is good for the league as well.

As I said this is not official and if you have some good ideas, especially regarding selling of clubs feel free to share here or over private channels.
I do not know if it has been discussed before but I think selling accounts should only be allowed during a fixed off season window. If users can sell positions while the season is ongoing we will have participants facing a "hypothetically" tougher opponent and others facing a weaker one that bought the account later on.
I did not write it since we always considered to allow selling only during off season. Let's say from the time last league game finishes until first questions for Round 1 of new season are live. That should be about 2 or 3 weeeks. We will have cup final and promotion play offs and then one week actual break.

2. After selling, seller is looked at as a person who never played BSFL before. he can enter for free in lowest division available at that time and try to climb back trough the ranks.
In my opinion, we should minimize the chance of people wanting to sell their position and there should be some penalties for people doing so.

People should sell their position, if they will be busy in the next season and will be unable to submit their answers in time. People should sell their position, if they are tired of BSFL for any reason and they will no longer want to participate in BSFL.

People shouldn't look at selling their positions as a business and a way to earn money.

This season was my first season in BSFL and I managed to promote to division 2.
If I think I will be busy in the real life and there's a probability that I will not be able to submit my answers in time, I should sell my position so that I won't ruin the competition in the next season.
I shouldn't sell my position, because I want to earn some money. If I do so, there should be some penalties for me.

Here are some suggestions you may want to consider.

1. People selling their position can't join the competition again in the next x seasons.
2. People selling their position can join the BSFL again, but they will not be able to participate in cup and LMS in the next x seasons and they can only play in the league.
3. People selling their position should pay more fee for the next x seasons and if they sell their position again, the extra fee will be applied to the person who buys their position.
4. People should pay x mBTC, if they want to sell their position for the second time.
5. People selling their postition for the second time can never join BSFL again.

Swaping will definitely be allowed. Even with the rules I wrote above you can do it. Just consider swap as two seperate sales. But that only works if both parties have clubs.

Non- BSFL can also participate! This makes a lot of sense now..sooner or later we would have teams announcing sales of clubs on the service sub-board.

Once again, if you hate it in division 3, give me a swap deal offer and enjoy division 2 next season with the Goat Igebotz FC. I love it in Division 3  Grin I want to play un_rank everyweek.

Tyson landed only 18 punches, enough to tell you all you needed to know but we still have foolish punter like Drake who doesn't read the room. $20m in a night for the old legend, did Tyson ever made anything like that in his career?? I'm curious

Just watched a recap of the Tyson-Paul event (won't even call it a fight), glad we didn't put that one in the questions.
Crazy world, they walk away with 40 and 20 mil $ for doing basically nothing.

Everything is showbiz nowadays and I hope that the fight we selected won't be similar to this one.

If it were to be some WWE hosted drama, I totally would have understood it, but for real this is probably one of the boxing matches I’ve taken with a pinch of salt, the whole theatrics surround the fight you could tell that it was supposed to be some ceremonial match or what do we call it in football ? when a player is supposedly retiring and calling his previous team mates or other professional colleagues to partake in the match. Even though there wasn’t much of footballing events to watch, I’m not too sure I have any friend who actually lost sleep over the match as it was for 2 A.M local time.

Damn! I feel sorry for Hhampuz! From 3rd place to a 5th place because of a player who managed to forget 3 times to submit his answer on time.

The one who got the most "benefit" because that Smartvirus is out of bsfl is dbshck. He got 4 points.. 3 point from the match and then he got his 1 minus point cancelled.. and also he got his goal different from 5 to 11..

We all agree that it is fair that all matches will be canceled and converted to 3-0 win. This is a special situation, the match between Smartvirus-dbshck, smartvirus sent his answer on time but dbshck forgot it and got a penalty. Now Smartvirus is out and dbshck got his penalty cancel. But I hope in the next season, if the same were to happen, the penalty will remain at 1 minus point. No one should get away with penalty by luck. If you forget to submit the answers you will be penalized regardless of whether the player you played against is out of bsfl..

Now I'm waiting for the fight between Paul Jack - Mike Tyson😁  Lets go Tyson!!!!😁😁

Sucks to be paying the most price for someone else's inaction tbh, and It would be understandable from his stand point, but I'd really not want to see another highly competitive guy leave, we need to have a  lot of real natives here.

I really don't know what's next for my team, it's really running out of gas  Sad

Give it a break, man. Lol, I understand how our division works, and I know we're one club short, but I was curious how Hhampuz went from a serious title candidate a few weeks ago to fighting for promotion slots now. Gave me the biggest chase ever!!

I keep getting fucked by people either dropping out or not submitting answers, typical. Might be my last season  Lips sealed

Nooo don't quit! I like seeing familiar names all over the forum. Seriously, even though we're not close or anything, I have a great feeling whenever I see the various threads now. Whether or not I reply I feel like its a small family.

Like when casperBGD left I really felt a hole, swear to god.

Don't leave, trust me its hard to get out sometimes but stay stay stay!

Igebotz FC is always on the market, a good bag and it's all yours ( not permanent) and there's a 30% relegation charge added - if you sink the club, you pay me 30% more. Igebotz U21 are breaking into spotlight and I needed something to keep them up but no problems.
We are still working on the rules for selling clubs. Maybe selling league position would be better way to call it since club name should probably always be connected with forum user name. Following is not official but some things we were discussing or how I see it at this point:
1. Selling of league position is final. Seller gets the money, new owner gets place in higher division and higher fee for maybe 2 seasons.
There must be a piece of money that goes to BSFL reward pool and we can't make it as percentage of sales since you guys can cheat on it then.
2. After selling, seller is looked at as a person who never played BSFL before. he can enter for free in lowest division available at that time and try to climb back trough the ranks.
3. Any complex deals like selling the position just for one season will not be official and we will do nothing to facilitate them. You can agree on anything we will not stop you but we will also not provide mechanism to make other person stick to the word or lower league fees. From BSFL point of view this will be two separate sales
4. All sales must be done officially in BSFL thread. You can agree the deal via PMs but then one of you must post the details here and the other one quotes it. I think it is better that that selling fee is public since it will do more for BSFL promotion and that should be a common goal. As cryptofrka says the idea is for BSFL to keep going for a long time and to do that we have to have certain numbers on forum and be partly self financed (league fees, penalties....)

As I said this is not official and if you have some good ideas, especially regarding selling of clubs feel free to share here or over private channels.

Don't know if all of you seen it yet, but we will also have club badges and club pages for all clubs from next season so our tables should look even better and we should have even better experience over first 3 Divisions. Lowest division will always be amateur one without fees and with smallest rewards, used as way to groom new players to BSFL standards and rules. Hopefully all late submissions and stuff like that will be contained just to that division. On the other hand place in 4th division still gets you entry to LMS and Cup, so if you are one of our core members and you are unlucky enough to get relegated hopefully those will be enough to keep you interested until you manage to earn promotion.
