The majority of late submissions/no submissions were from Division 3 players - we feel Division 3 buy-ins and a bigger reward pool will fix that.
We don't really want to be too strict and the penalties are currently harsh but fair.

In S05 we collected almost 300$ worth of penalty fees that will be added to this season's budget, it was even more in S04 for this season.

We will surely monitor it but we feel everything is currently well balanced. If it changes, we can always change it.

Season 6 announcement

We start Season 6 with (currently) 61 teams. Divisions 1, 2 and 3 have 18 players each, and all the other teams will play in a single Division 4.
Considering it is currently 7 teams, they will play in a 2-legged or 3-legged format - will be decided on Monday
We feel that 3 paid Divisions with 18 players is the soft spot for BSFL, so no league expansions are expected for the foreseeable future.
Bottom 3 teams will be relegated from Division 1 to Division 2. Top 3 teams will be promoted directly from Division 2 to Division 1.
15th team from Division 1 will play a 1v1 decider against the 4th placed team from Division 2 for the spot in Division 1.
Bottom 3 teams will be relegated from Division 2 to Division 3. Top 3 teams will be promoted directly from Division 3 to Division 2.
15th team from Division 2 will play a 1v1 decider against the 4th placed team from Division 3 for the spot in Division 2.
We will announce promotion/relegation rules for Divisions 3 and 4 at the start of the season, when we see how many members Division 4 starts with

Season 7 announcement

Season 7 will mostly mirror Season 6. We will just look to add a few more players into Division 4.
Just a side note, Season 7 isn’t yet confirmed, we go season by season and get extensions based on BSFL forum metrics. These are really good so there’s no reason to doubt BSFL will not reach Season 7.
