@Trofo that was quite a friendly H2H, I must say, it was quite more interesting than the cup fixtures tbh right ? I almost lost all hope at Napoli being 2 goals down but they conceded 3 without response, West Ham with a goal inside 4 minutes couldn’t get another within the remaining 86 minutes, and Pep’s City bringing it to halt at 5 goals,  Just wow!

Wow, so West Ham saved my a$$? I didn't even bother to check the result after seeing Man City scoring five goals. Again we have to congratulate the Cro2 team for the margins on this question.

Now on to the penalties... The game is starting in 15 minutes but I'm too lazy to check our answers on the phone.
Lucky bastards Smiley Harkorede you have already been paid out as per our PM agreement to change the amount of bet to AFCON pool sign in. Check the AFCON thread for the details.

Cup semi finals are now complete. Good luck guys, time to find our BSFL Cup Champion soon:

The Cup QF pairs have been decided before penalties, with home teams dominating.

Round 4 results

Hhampuz - mitchr4   3-2
Renato297 - Kokee44   3-1
Ulven - Slissy   2-1
chi20 - BitcoinHunt3r   2-1

Trofo lost a sidebet to Harkorede, and will face penalties in his sidebet vs slackovic.

The Cup semifinal pairs are:

Hhampuz - Renato297
Ulven - chi20

Embarrassment for Div1 - no representatives in the cup semis.
As usual, we'll try to arrange betting on Sportsbet on the semifinal pairs.

We proceed with the league, questions for Round 11 are ready.

The deadline is January 9th, 18:00 GMT.

As already mentioned, there are a lot of sports events happening and most of the questions span across multiple days. We thought this is a fun experiment for this round, but don't see it happening a lot in the future.
We like when the majority of the questions revolve around a single game - because the factor of luck is higher in the current set of questions.

Let us know what you think about it - maybe we find the middle ground somewhere if the majority likes it more this way.

Three Division 2 and 2 Division 3 players are 1 late submission away from elimination. Be careful guys Smiley

The Ski Jump question and the total goals scored by the selected teams, that was quite some margins, CRO2 team needs a raise, all in favour say aye!

Well it looks like Pep screwed me over. Manchester City is already four goals up at the beginning of the second half. Now only West Ham can save me if they score only two goals. But I won't get my hopes up because Man City looks like they are not done scoring.

Guys, you have to give me some credit for the Bischofshofen margins Grin
There are no odds for such stuff anywhere so it's all out of our heads, and most often than not we nail them to be just right.

Questions for the next league round are almost ready, they are a bit different this time as an experiment. We'll see how you like them.
We'll probably post them tomorrow, still some finetuning to do.

Yes, you guys have done it multiple times now, no markets to help, so credit for getting it bang on, not something I could have done. I do recall some other points lines far from results (FIBA maybe?) and also the Tour de France (but the accident ruined that early on) so I won't allow you guys to get your heads too big Wink

Ready for the new round. Maybe it favours me!

And here we go! Poland lost the United Cup, I dislike tennis... I guess here is when I count my losses.. with just 7 goals to get in no3 question,  I can say I'm out of the cup. Its was a good ride though   never expected to reach this far in cup because i don't usually do well in cups... cheers to everyone  especially my opponent @BitcoinHunt3r...

The problem is I have no insider in West Ham so I have to hope they won't score a lot of goals.

was on a call with Moyes, he was our long-term manager, and he said West Ham will go easy today, so you can rest on that one
haha, it seems that BSFL is now all in connection with Premier league managers

waiting for next round

Oh man, now I can be at peace. And good thing is that I don't have a sidebet with cryptofrka mafia. You can never know where his and his mafia friends influence end.

This will be decided on City game. West Ham will score 2 goals but I can see City winning with one or two goals and absolute control of the possession or going crazy and scoring 6+ goals. Only Pep knows at this time what the plan is but I believe City needs one big win to restore confidence a bit and that they could go all guns blazing. We could also see Haaland back today. They were the reason I went 17+ in my answer while Real Madrid was my backup plan but they did just barely enough for me to stay in the game.

Wow! Great analisys but unfortunately for you, City will go easy today. I just had a call with Pep and told him to go easy today because they will have much more important game against Newcastle in few days. The problem is I have no insider in West Ham so I have to hope they won't score a lot of goals.

I also need 4-6 goals in duel against Trofo, but I’m not going to have my hopes up just yet over cup fixture that we’ve seen how they could turnout in few minutes, not especially when Guardiola is one of the remaining team’s coach, we could literally some unknown names from the Man City youth side mixed up with a few bench warmers. It’s all still up for grabs so until it’s over, it’s fingers crossed for me.

You and me both! I need this point to get to the penalties with Trofo. I hoped I will avoid the penalties but now I have to hope Man City and West Ham won't score too much. Three goals by each team should be enough for them and for both of us Smiley

Oh wow, I just read the question again and understood better.  City is differently scoring 4 or more goals... West ham can do 3 goals believable!
Thanks for the clarification..

Oh I didn't realize that Atletico Madrid had finished the match I only pay attention to Chelsea and Real Madrid, meanwhile when I wrote the post Real Madrid hadn't scored they scored the first goal in the 54th minute so these 3 teams have scored 10 goals and every score of the opponent is not calculated exactly like @harkorede say. I need 7 more goals to get points while you only need 4-6 goals I think we still have the same opportunity on the 3rd question. Manchester City should be able to score 3-4 goals if they play with the main squad but usually in matches like this they will play the second player especially when against a weak team just like the Real Madrid match a few hours ago, the reason is clear to provide more experience to young players but if the situation is not possible then the coach will prepare several main players in regular time.

It seems I will follow your steps because until the 50th minute Real Madrid hasn't scored even though Madrid should be able to score 2-3 goals to open up my opportunities closer to 17 goals or more (question No.3) Chelsea have done it by scoring 4 goals if Real Madrid can score at least 3 goals then I need 10 more goals tomorrow and it's not too difficult, Manchester City will contribute 4-5 goals West Ham and Atletico Madrid 6 goals in combination so in total 17 goals or more  Cheesy while in question No.4 I no longer have a chance and my opponent is closer to the final, for 3 other questions we have the same answer so No.3 as a determinant for me.
I don't know how you calculated it, but I see a total of 12 goals already.  You only need 5 goals from city and west ham which wouldn't take up to 30th minutes and we will be seeing those goals,  unless I'm miscalculating it. Because Atletico played 1:3, Chelsea 4:0 , Madrid 1:3 , total of 12 goals . Or I didn't understand the question well enough.  Because  I thought its total goals both teams or just the teams mentioned in the question?

The question was referring to the goals scored by the favorites alone, not both teams involved in the matches, so it's a total of 10 goals so far, with Man City and West Ham lef to play, I would say it's still a very fine line and margin here between all options because City could out of nowhere struggle to score 2 goals, and they could put 7 goals by themselves for all we know, but expecting 7 or more goals of Injury ravaged City and West Ham in a cup tie (regular time only) could be asking for too much, imo, but it's plausible as well.

My cup adventure is over for this time. Congratulations Ulven. Now it is time to concentrate on the league 😁

looking at results, seems that cup is not Div1 players thing
nice to see that

watched Ski Jumping, it is a tradition for NY, and was interesting
congrats to Kraft for a win today, but all is going to Kobayashi for winning the tour, despite losing narrowly today

Guys, you have to give me some credit for the Bischofshofen margins Grin
