Djokovic is currently leading and yeah it seems pretty close between those two but Djokovic is better

Pretty close one indeed there have been just 4 break of serve so far in the game and we already into 5th game of match deciding set, Rune is really giving Djokovic a run for his money, but I think Djokiovic mental toughness will see him through this one because Rune is already showing quite a bit of frustration and that's one thing you can't afford to show against Novak, as he'll prey on that weakness.

It's still goalless between Leicester City and Leeds, and unfortunately for me Leeds have been the better team and should even be ahead already, I honestly wouldn't a single goal win for from Leicester right as my opponent also wouldn't get any point off it.

Then Tsitsipas has let you down once again, and he did it in straight set and almost effortlessly too.

Tsitsipas is pretty much a bad omen for me because the result that he got always the opposite of what I predicted  Roll Eyes. I might wanna start to ask my fiance to help me with these upcoming tennis questions because I cant remember the last time I got point from these tennis related questions

That would be Casper Ruud for me, I don't think I've ever won a point from him too,

@Strongkored : 3-1 for now and we got 4 questions on matches for saturday so its going to be a break it or make it scenario for both of us. Either of us need to get atleast 5 points to win in case if there wasnt going to be draw on any questions.

Holger Rune vs Djokovic is about get started H2H is quite interesting has Holger Rune have 2-1 advantage over him, and Rune have also won the last 2 games when they met the most recent one being this year, can he do it, though! I surely hope not, but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in it being a great fixture.

so far so good, nothing important happened
I would certainly not counted out Rune, he has a good tactics to play against Djokovic, but chances to pass are slim
nevertheless, can't say that I don't expect third set as decider

but as soon as it starts, I will watch Leicester and Leeds, that should a really good match by two in-form teams that deserve EPL spots

That means my opponent already have one correct answer too, so I really need Djokovic to overcome Holger Rune for me to win that H2H as I'm still one point down, and it's not looking good yet for me for this round.

Honestly I didn't expect anything leševima from him. That man has let me down so many times that I already mark a lost point when we have him in the question. When I answer that he will win, he looses. And vice versa. Every single time! Unbelievable.

Would never see anyone say Rune has a chance against Djokovic in last year but I guess people are seeing his performances dip. I have a feeling champs like Djokovic raise their levels when meeting guys like Alcaraz and play "disappointedly" when meeting weaker opponents.

I feel also like sports is getting more demanding. It's not first tournament I see players play so soon after last game.

1 out of 3. I'm getting so bad at BSFL but nice if we get greens even on our same answers Smiley

/snip

When I saw that Rune is in the same bracket as Djokovic, I knew how to answer it. And after Tsitsipas has let me down so many times, I had to go with him not getting to the semi-final. That man has ruined so many of my would be victories in the past... If I'm not mistaken, first of the three different answers gets settled tomorrow. That's why I don't like having much answers the same as my opponent - there's not much to discuss Smiley

Yeah tennis and football, depending on age of courts/fields, there are min and max standards but not everyone has the same. I remember Highbury the most as the shortest -- people frequently felt they were running out of grass!

Anyway, damn. Sinner withdrew, that lack of rest thing you guys talking about, I don't get it either.

I face down another point loss as Tsitsi actually make it through, it appears the best I can hope for now is a draw if Djoker pulls through later. Doesn't look good to lose to Div1 new faces so I'll be looking to improve when Cro2 mafia comes to town. Is it me or are all of us having tough rounds? Ignoring Kokee's 10 goals scored.

That is both true and false at the same time. If by court you mean actual space between the lines, then they are all the same size. If by the court you mean whole pitch where players are running then there are vast differences. One of the reasons Nadal is so good in RG is almost unlimited space around the pitch which he can use to run down the balls. There is very little such space in Paris which is understandable since it is indoors event. There is also quite low roof and you can often see players hitting it with the balls. Specific conditions at the very least.

Well yeah, sure. I thought he meant the actual court dimensions - like in football where you have a variable pitch sizes.

To be honest - I would be furious as a professional tennis player if I saw I don't have that much space to move around. I agree that some courts are way too narrow - especially on clay.

I'm looking forward to Đoković - Rune match, it's for the BSFL point as well. I took Rune to win by mistake but the more I analyze it, the more I feel he's got a real chance of winning against Novak.

I agree. I don't follow tennis that much, but you can't make a player play a game 14 hours after he has played the last game. How did that happen anyway? Was it some sort of change in the schedule?

As for my tennis answer, both me and slaman29 have the same answer but I would have very much like to win that point for a freebet.

His first match got delayed a bit since matched before it were very long and then it was also a long 3 set match by itself. Problem is nobody accounted for that next day, Most venues have a set time when matches are stopped like 11PM but not such thing in Paris.

...
I don't even know if there is a specific standard for tennis court measurement, but with the games I watched in Paris, I can make an informative guess that the court sizes aren't the same, even if there is a standard measurement range enforced by the ITF for ATP and WTA tours, I'm sure the courts in Paris even they meet the standard ranges aren't of equal sizes across all courts

Weird results in Paris so far, agreed. And what happened to Sinner really should not be happening in professional sport of such magnitude.

Since also German newspapers are going crazy about something that I would have never paid attention to, I wanted to share with you that BSFL questions got me learning about how these NBA drafts work and I think one question was about Victor Wenbanyama.

The article says "Victor Wenbanyama's 38 points craziness in the NBA". I remember doing my research back then and literally every single article said that he is going to be the only one monster that every other generation in basketball brings forth. I guess it was right! Wink

This thing with Sinner is total disgrace. He was maybe even first favorite for me in Paris and then the organizers make him play without any time for recuperation. It is usual to at least give players in his situation late slot so they get about 20 hours between the matches. That gives them time for recuperation before sleep.

Good thing he forfeited even though that probably screwed my pick (not sure what my opponent picked), there is already several players heaping pressure on ATP for such behavior.
Yeah, Sinner was one of my favorites together with Medvedev, so I already know that I won't get point for this question. First of all, they shouldn't start to play after midnight. It's not good for players and specators. They ended to play somewhere 2.40 AM local time what is ridiculous. Sometimes players have 2 matches same day, usually when tournament had lot of rain delays, but in this situation organizers made bad decision. For example Roland Garros have curfew when matches should be stopped at 11 PM, but as I understand it doesn't counts for indoor tournaments.
But after watching WTA Finals, I understand that ATP is ages ahead them Cheesy. Tiny stadium looks like made for 250 torunament, not Finals and players have to fight not only against their opponent, but also huge wind. I probably I haven't seen tournament with top players and so many 6:0 sets Cheesy.

It was more like a coin flip betting on tennis games in Paris honestly so many swings in their result, I wouldn't say it is unusual to see such results, but the anomaly here is beyond the usual I've ever witnessed, at least there is still a Djokovic match to see, if not, I don't think I'll be watch any other match in the tournament, their different courts doesn't seem of equal measurement, I don't even know if there is a specific standard for tennis court measurement, but with the games I watched in Paris, I can make an informative guess that the court sizes aren't the same, even if there is a standard measurement range enforced by the ITF for ATP and WTA tours, I'm sure the courts in Paris even they meet the standard ranges aren't of equal sizes across all courts, as it is obviously very tough for the professionals to make lob shots that they do make on other courts with significant force without the ball going wide or out.

Jaw breaker for the tennis question, question No. 8, with Danil Medvedev eliminated early into the tournament, we have Jannik Sinner had to forfeit his 1/16 match up against Alex De Minaur due to fatigue has he had just about 14 hours after a 3 set game win against McDonald to be on court against, there is absolutely for him to recover for a game in 14 hours, after he had played until 2:37 AM against McDonald, that's surely a very poor fixtures schedule from the organizers to be very honest. However, that's to my very own advantage, I have all players No for my answers, and my opponent have otherwise, meanwhile 2 players are out already, while Holger Rune is likely to face Novak Djokovic in the Quarter finals, increasing my chances there. Tsitsipas had just won his own fixture against Zerev, had the result gone the other way, that would have been a wrap for me on that question, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

We might be tempted to increase the participation fee for Division 1 players and maybe even introduce a minor fee for Division 2 participants down the road.
However, we'd rather that everybody has some fun and gets something out of it than having a 5k$ difference between the 1st and 7th spot in the 1st Division.

We think that a big draw to the competition is that every few months there is some reward for all of us. Kinda sends positive vibes and makes for good banter among the BTT community.

We might have something up our sleeves soon for the more competitive ones, but it won't be a part of the BSFL. We'll let you know if it materializes.

Div 1 pays 2.5mBTC, Div 2 pays 1.5mBTC, and Div 3 plays for free in order to achieve promotion and experience. I'm not sure if the Cro2 has ever thought of this setup. Div 2 shouldn't be playing for free

I feel like this could be something to consider actually. Could complicate but why not a portion of Div2 prizes set aside for paid participants? The more pay, the bigger the portion from overall Div2?

It may be difficult, but it is doable with a sufficient number of participants in Div 2 who are willing to pay and those in Div 3 who are willing to pay. Divisions 3 A and B can always compete for free bets. We need to enhance the prize pool for Divisions 1 and 2.

I personally want the first reward for the Div 1 winner to be about $3-5k in the future, and in order to do so, we must raise the join fees every season. It's worth paying 3-4mBTC for a chance to earn $3k or $5k in less than three months.
