I did solid performance so far in this round by picking Serbia to final and Shelton to sf. I should be able to win this round with this picks (fingers croessd) My arch enemy&best friend Chi20 is leading the table right now and if he manege to get a win against my boi Navid he is 1st place no metter how good I am and I am 2th place for sure. But if IF he slips and falls, gets a draw or a lost. I am ganna try hard my Last game against Bonta and Hope my fate not ganna be like arsenal or dortmund or Fenerbahçe  I am excited about the results of this gw can't wait to see. Come on Navid Smile, I'm leading 2:0 already, should be 4 :0 by now but Chile decided to score a goal, and France didn't do over , even Portugal just a 1 goal. This was a really bizarre round - quite low-scoring with some weird results along the way. We're approaching the end of the season, I guess the tiredness is affecting some teams. You bottling the league after being on top for 10 rounds will generate more newspaper headlines than Igebotz being relegated. If given the option, I would rather be relegated than be a bottler. I'm still going to pull Everton on this last day, I'm going to play Div 1 next season. any side bet?

Yeah, that's the worst case scenario for you and the best that I can get. For you uts just important that I don't get this last point as you are already in the lead. If I don't win that point, buwaytress and me will be tied for the last rounds freebet again. I don't remember what is the second rule to settle the freebets. I checked the first page but I can't seem to find this new rules for settling the freebets. It was a pretty close draw on Denmark then they somehow scored and ruin my party  So now with Serbia leading by 2 goal, Netherlands getting a draw and Poland losing the game then its currently on 7 points. The next 45 minutes will determine wether which of us would win. I think there is a good chance that Poland is going to hence even if the other two ended up winning then its going to be 9 points max

Is the "first submit - tiebreak auto-win-rule" already in effect?
Nope, not yet - all such changes will be seasonal. We'll use the 'old' format for settling the freebets until the end of Season 2 (so 2 more rounds). We'll also reevaluate the 'early submission' advantage. I for one will never submit early just to be potentially ahead in a H2H tie for the freebet. When we change how the H2H points work in freebets, I think we won't have as many draws anymore - so I feel that earlier submission will be used quite rare and won't be a big advantage. We'll almost surely test it in Season 3 and see how it goes. It is a good solution, but we'll revise it if we see it's deciding things too often. I think it would be okayish if we see it once every 3 rounds across all Divisions on average.

It was discussed and now freebet tiebreak is decided by the person who submitted first. In this round, that's you, so if we really do end up on a draw, well done to you, double whammy for me =) I like this, we always wanted to see more advantage for early submissions, and I think it's a great outcome =) Is the "first submit - tiebreak auto-win-rule" already in effect? I am not sure whether it is the best way to go about the tie-breaker issue. It is a bit against what we as a community here want the participants to do. Take some time, do some analysis, also familiarize with a new or rather unknown sport. I am not against the idea, but I am trying to figure out whether this is really the best option we have. The situation with Trofo vs. cryptofrka was really an outlier, wasn't it? I haven't looked into the details, but weren't most of the h2h duels solved relatively quickly? I think having some time to research info for the questions should not come at a cost. But again I see that there is an implicit cost anyway. Submitting early means foregoing additional info, which could then be rewarded by the advantage to win the free bet. I liked the system so far even when duels for free bets carry over to the next round. I think it is ok, but am also ok with the early submission solution.
Disappointed that Alcaraz failed to reach the final. Medvedev could screw the excitement for this final. If he has one of those days, then this is going to end in a quick 3-0 for Djokovic, unless he himself has some struggles to cope with.

So, as I understand, I won this round. I'm stil alive! It was tough round and not many players got many answers right. Nobody didn't backed Germany to win FIBA World Cup. I thought about going with upset, but decided to go with safe option and USA - Canada final. That WTA final result was the first thing that I checked when I woke up in the morning. Sabalenka lost in the end and it's one point for arallmuus. It's 2-1 for arallmuus now when I account the basketball question that he answered better than me. Now I need to hope I can make it a draw if today's EURO qualification games go my way.
Seems that many of us expected that Sabalenka will take US Open quite easy after Swiatek was eliminated. But Gauff played very solid match, especially after she lost first set. These few weeks were incredible for her - just recently she won her first WTA 500 and 1000 title and now she is Grand Slam winner. Not sure that Gauff already have consitensy to become NO.1 but very happy for her win.

Regarding the freebets, we (read I) actually made a mistake and calculated it in a way that was not planned in the first few rounds. Then I just repeated the same method for fairness going forward. How it should be from next season is that in freebet ties the H2H questions will be taken into consideration. I was against rewarding early submissions, but considering we have VAR now I feel that it makes way more sense. If after H2H duels between tied players we still won't have a winner, it makes sense to award the early submission. We also don't like to see draws for the freebets, it's so much more work for us as well So - in short: - first we check your totals (initially you can get a point for the H2H question only if you're the best in the whole Division) - then we check H2H questions between the tied players (if you already won a point in that H2H question you can't get another one, of course) - if it's still a tie after all the H2H questions were analyzed, whoever submitted earlier will be the freebet winner How does this sound? I knew that there was one more way besides who posted earlier to settle the freebets if two players end up qith a draw. It took me a while but I managed to find cryptofrka's post about it. I'm not sure does it count from this round, but if it does than we need to calculate our two H2H answers first. I will leave it if it will be needed after the EURO qualification games.
