That second set would've been it for Sabalenka, I thought it'll go 2-0 when she broke Ons in the second set but Ons held on and broke her twice to force a third set. The momentum carried on to the third set and Sabalenka kept making unforced errors while Ons was locked in.

Now I have to rely on the last two questions but with my luck, I might go 0/5.  Tongue

That is classic WTA for you guys. I don't think anybody is getting points at that tennis question in our cup qualifying round. I know I am not getting it.

I have high hopes for goals in U19 games. That is the question that could get me the win in my duel. Come on Portugal, let's score few more so I don't have to bit my nails until the end of second game.

Tennis is indeed 90% mental or whatever the ratio is, you would think after yesterdays win she would be pumped but nah. Grin Grin Grin

She actually was very pumped to start the game until it the game was 3-3, I believe the second consecutive serve lost for her made her mentality switched drastically and it went all downhill from there, Vondrousova broke her first to take a 3-2 lead, but Svitolina returned the favour instantaneously to make it 3-3, thereafter she couldn't hold serve again, until the did it became and easy one for Vondrousova. if as a pro tennis you break a player's serve in 2 consecutive serve and you don't get to win the set, I don't know how much mental boost you could have needed to win such set in the first place.

Watched first semifinal and my prediction already won't become true as Svitolina lost to Vondrousova. Svitolina didn't looked fresh today and from her body talk it didn't looked that she can win today. Though, at one moment in 2nd set it looked that she can make comeback when from 0:4 she went to 3:4, but then Vondrousova won break.
Other semifinal is final worthy match and nothing surprising that score is 5:5, both players winning their serves.

She started the game pretty well, but then after the first game her body language went from 100 to Love (as they'll refer to zero in Tennis), all her moves and game plays became telegraphed and it became an easy read for Vondrousova to counter all the efforts from Svitolina, I really would have loved her to go through, but today Vondrousova deserved it, honestly.

I might have jinxed it for Svitolina, but I had my money on her so it wasn't a facade support from me.

I already told you guys there is a plan to have DOTA, CS:GO and LOL in BSFL as representatives for eSports. DOTA has already been included several times and I am looking to do others as well. Problem is I am following DOTA mostly and it is easiest for me to do that question since I know when big tournaments are played and I know enough to make quality question. Will definitely try to get that CS into the questions.

My favorite site to research CS:GO is hltv.org

Man I hate web sites with more adds than content, but OK. Bookmarked the site so I'm prepared for the CS:GO questions...

I see that a lot of you went with the option that Mexico will win the final by 1 goal. I thought about it but it looked to me like there is a better chance for them to cover 1,5 handicap than to win by exactly 1 goal. I just checked and I see that they won 3-0 against Jamaica so I guess it's a "wins confidently" :-)

For CS:GO you'll not find another site better than HLTV.org and you'll also see it is far way easier to understand CSGO than you'll ever come close to Dota at first glance, and in my opinion HLTV have way more content to ads ratio for any centralised website that is being accessed for free, including these so called social medias. for CSGO, you'll not lose the slightest of information if you make use of hltv.

I'm sorry to whoever I'm be going against with my choice, because I'm currently tuned in to Svitolina game in the semi final, and I going with her all the way.

Seems like all except one guy managed to take advantage of VAR, great job, unfortunately most of the late games very hard for us in Asia to follow anyway. I did it for previous rounds but cup round was too tiring to try stay up and find the breaks to play, but very happy I started off well with 1 point already. Many of us tried to catch YES because of previous favorites performance but I guess it's 50/50 in the end!

About esports, I have a dumb question to ask but does anyone still play things like C&C like in team? Or Starcraft? I still see kids playing them in cybercafes.

Regarding a possible E-sport question, you guys might want to take look a at CS:GO, Blast Premier Fall Groups 2023 is be scheduled for hold from 13th to 23rd of July.

Don't get Trofo ideas for a new eSport. I just got to know DOTA (at least I know how to check the score and the schedule for a certain competition) and now you want them to give us questions about something new. I know CS:GO is a popular game, but I have no idea about competitions. And I'm sure 90% of us here doesn't have a clue about it Smiley

I'm just kidding... I have nothing against CS:GO questions. But it would be nice to get some advice where to start the research (and don't say Google Grin ).

How do you already know you got a point? Maybe I am missing something but there is still 4 girls left and there is no guarantee that anybody gets point yet unless you picked Jabeur, Vondorusova - Jabeour.

Maybe I am missing something obvious here and I was too lazy tired to check the actual spreadsheet Smiley
I was thinking way too positively earlier after the upset and you're right anything can still happen now that 3/4 underdogs made it through the semis.   Cheesy

It's been a wild west in Wimbledon this year, there have been so many upset and majorly in the WTA, but still ATP have also had its own fair share of upsets, from Ruud losing 3-0 Broady, and Eubanks making quite an impression for a player just making he's debut in Wimbledon, he was on the verge of ousting Medvedev too, just 2 days after his huge win against Tsitsipas.

I'm really rooting for Elina Svitolina to make the finals and possibly win the title too, If she can defeat Iga Swiatek in such a convincing manner, also get pass Vondorusova in the semi finals, I strongly believe she's going for the title, while it would be tough choice for me to chose who to root if Svitolina and Jabeur were to be the finals as those have been my favorite WTA players for this tournament, while I'll give anything to see a Djokovic vs Alcaraz final, because their last affair wasn't a fair one due to a weird and unforeseen circumstance.

Blame Trofo for Dota, and you can be certain that he is going to answer any Dota question correctly.  Grin
And better prepare for the possibility of a Dota question in one of the upcoming rounds because there's another big tournament coming soon.  Grin

Dear God please no. Like I am not struggling enough with Dota, now we may get more of another thing that I have no clue about. I sure hope you and cryptofrka don';t plan to attend more of those "exotic" sports in the future. Cheesy

Cro2 know about cricket. Time to send them to some MMA Silat and kick volleyball so I can see some SEA representation! If you guys feel like visiting Thailanda now for the next month or so... Got some good local combat sports to watch together. No famous people here unfortunately, unless I count?
I think they can add questions for UFC 291 that is starting in two weeks, so they have time to prepare for questions.
This is good looking card with big interesting title fight Dustin Poirier vs Justin Gaethje and Jan Błachowicz vs Alex Pereira.
Tony Ferguson, Paulo Costa, Derrick Lewis and other good fighters are going to be in this fight card.

Honestly, I haven't found myself in the game of tennis since the beginning of the season. I haven't been able to give correct answers for this game, whether for men or women. However, I now have an idea about the game and know what I need to do.

I am currently ahead of my opponent by a point, the same opponent who knocked me out in the semi-finals last year. I believe I might defeat him this time. Grin

We have another upset that came through as Rybakina lost against Jabeur earlier today and got my first point because of that upset.

I need a clean 3-0 from Djokovic tomorrow since our h2h comes down to the over/under sets he'll drop throughout the tournament. If he drops at least one tomorrow, then it might be over for me because there's no way he'll 3-0 Alcaraz in the finals.

Had a feeling that Rybakina might've lost too. Grin Grin Grin
