What a performance by Barcelona yesterday Shocked
They were brilliant in their high press, Mbappe was caught offside 5 times in the first 30 minutes. Was funny to watch at times.
Each team know exactly what they'll do before each match since this season but still struggle to break it down, even with the best wingers in the world. Hans Flick has done a stellar job, one will almost not think this is the same thing Xavi had, only addition was Dani Olmo.

If there was a draw and Barcelona to win outright option, I'll have gone with the Barca win. I had 1 - 4 prediction in the BSFL chat, so spent the final 15 minutes hoping Madrid would be able to get one back.  Sad

Almost time for the EPL match of the weekend.

Fully deserved, Barca not to lose was a logical pick here. If I wasn't trying to catch up in LMS, I would have picked that one surely - same as Juventus not to lose today.
Considering that my only chance to reduce the gap is to hunt smart risks, Real was one that looked smart but turned out to be anything but that.

Thank you to the Gods of tennis. So far everything is working out, and I am slowly getting the results I need for the draw vs jayce.
Now that buy back are 1 mBTC we could see some more people dropping out. Wouldn't mind loosing a bit of the competition  Grin

We are really happy how LMS addition to BSFL went and it is here to stay for sure.

And I say thank you now to the Gods of Spain, for not only giving me the point in this round with Barcelona not to lose, but to give Real their first loss of the season, and what a big loss it was.

@mv1986 Hansi Flick did the smartest thing I mentioned already in La Liga thread long time ago, he ignored the media, this was the crucial mistake of Xavi. The media is not your friend, they are your demons left and right. Hansi may not won my mind when it started but I will not forget what he did for us this season, win or lose, we got our Barca back.

@jayce wow from 0-3 down now we are very very close. Now I need Bayern to score 3 or 4 goals, otherwise this battle continues. Great round so far anyway.

Atletico Madrid, I have no idea. By now I lean towards 1/X by about 55%-60%. Maybe I should have picked that Atletico doesn't win. They tied 3 out of their last 5 games in La Liga and Betis is uncomfortable to play against. But maybe Atletico Madrid is hyper motivated because of their Madrid rivals having lost the game against Barcelona and because of their devastating loss against Lille. They have to pay back something to their fans. It's going to be the last straw I can go for to save this round with a draw. At least we have something to look forward to with some excitement this Sunday. Good luck! Smiley
This one is really on the brink, I think it is just about 50:50 for our chances. Why didn't I go with yes and already secured my win  Grin I need those 3 points badly and draw will not help either of us. Last league round I played 5:5 draw and dropped 4 places. Time to get something back.

Haha, I'd rather take the point my friend! Tongue I know that the draw would be painful for you now, but for me it would be massive damage control...

I have honestly not expected that Barcelona would play three levels higher this week than they have already played anyway. This was probably the best Barcelona I have seen in a very long time. But I guess you were ahead of me with your analysis on this one. I would have never picked Bayern because they lack solutions at the moment when they get closer to the opponent's box. But I thought a draw is about realistic. But damn Barcelona played insanely well. That Raphinha goal and the passing before it was out of this world. Well deserved win and well picked. Spanish newspapers - like always - are already talking about a life-long contract for Flick Cheesy Let him lose two games in a row and they want him get fired.

Sometimes sports aren't predictable anyway. Look at the Premier League this weekend, Manchester City only 1-0, Aston Villa messing it up, Brighton messing it up, Brentford very close to messing it up, but a goal in minute 96 saved them. Nobody can come up with those picks... Bundesliga same thing, Dortmund messing it up, Leverkusen messing it up.

Vamos, Atletico! Wink

I was very proud of this pick. Both Zverev and Rublev aren't the most stable players and I couldn't imagine them getting the title but there wasn't many good opponents until the final for them so it was still a tricky question.

That should be safety for me in LMS and at least draw in BSFL. Just need Atletico Madrid to not win and win is there as well.

A short funny story about this, I was asleep as I caught a severe cold recently and needed some rest. I woke up some time and had a tab open where Zverev was playing against Musetti. And guess what moment it was, 2nd set tie-break and Zverev was leading 3-2 in the tie-break and 1-0 in sets. I thought ok, easy, this game is over, and fell asleep again to then wake up and see the final result! Cheesy It was a very tricky, but good question!

Now we've got a really interesting game on hands and it's going to be determined by Chelsea, with the chances of draw now tossed out the window, I'll be in need of a Chelsea win to steal all the 3 points, crazy!
Why Chelsea?
I think Atletico Madrid is the only different question we have left, you went with them winning against Betis, and I predicted no.
Crazy how easy Barcelona won against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu, but maybe outcome would be different if Mbappe goal in first half was not an offside.

My bad, the decision is indeed up to Atletico Madrid now, unlike they're biggest rival I hope they'd deliver.

Real Madrid did have some decent chances and the game could have easily gone side ways if they'd been able to get just one timing of their runs completely spot on, but the Barcelona defensive line was just very perfect keeping those offside traps, or let's Mbappe was rather too fast, Madrid were caught 12 times offsides with Mbappe alone having 7 of those.

Both Zverev and Rublev lost their respective matches which kinda bring back some hope for me, honestly I felt it was possible for Shelton to win against Rublev, but Zverev losing after win the first set wasn’t what I imagined, I’m happy anyways.
I didnt expect both of them to drop put so early, but I dont know anything about tennis  Grin
You have a good chance of catching me now, but deciding match is going to be the big derby in La Liga between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Let the better team wins.

Visca el Barca!!! Barcelona have come through from me twice in the spaces of a few days.

I wasn't expecting to get points from this question at all. If Real Madrid win the game tonight I can get back in the round by equalizing it 2-2.I still don't understand why I made a prediction on Dortmund to win when I check my answers. I guess that I was in a hurry while I was submitting my answers. Grin

Well we both had Dortmund to win so its not a biggie on this one. The decider on this questions would be Atletico Madrid vs Betis tomorrow. As for Barcelona, I dont think they will lose tonight but cheers  Smiley

Anyway, Leverkusen just scored their 2nd goal so total of 4 goals for now alongside 1 goal that Stuttgart scored. I hope I dont jinx this one up, I need a point from this question

Yes, I’d agree the question was still tricky and perhaps very even due to both players not being stable given that it was a low ATP tour,
0snip

Not only on these two players but most top seeds usually flop on lower ATP tournament. I cant really remember but didnt we had similar questions like this on low ATP tournaments which had top players flop before reaching finals as well

Did I already tell you how much I hate those H2H questions? Well, I really f$%king do. They will be banned from BSFL.

vd309 and hosseinimr93 are leading in that question in LMS, with 1 correct answer each. All the rest of us - congrats on the big fat 0.

A mafia typical way of life, if it’s not going your way, BAN IT!!! You’re coming for the winning teams next, that’s if you’re not here already.

Looks like we’ll be having a savior for this round, as darxiaomi is still without a point, although they have the possibility of still getting the 3 minimum threshold, but I’ll be getting more of they do, meaning in as much I’m able to get the 3 minimum points required I’ll be safe in this round.

Let’s go Barça!!!

Oh fuckin hell. How the heck did both of them lose in quarterfinals and also both play on the 2nd game listed of the day. I mean Yeah Rublev is totally fair to lose there but Zverev to lose is uncalled for. Tennis just doesnt make sense on lower ATP tournament sometimes...

csl63 gonna love this, a point finally goes in his favour. Did I just jinx this question huh, I wrote something that state as long as both doesnt ended up losing then Im good with it.

Doubting Dortmund on the road paid off or maybe I got lucky as Real Madrid might've broken them in their previous road match.

Now that I got a slight edge for the final question, i'm slowly closing in on my seventh win. I still need Betis to pull through tomorrow against Atletico Madrid and maybe that gives me a good shot at winning the free bet. Tongue

I didn't notice that you were doing so well in LMS, congrats, I think you will be in top 3 at this rate.

I'm very far behind now considering its late stage, but as long as I survive without payout I should be fine to continue playing.

Slissy, I only checked now and we have 3 questions left to challenge -- funnily enough we went 100% opposite directions on Q10. Are we really so different? =)

You are now challenging vd309 on top of LMS table  Shocked
Now is the best time for someone to take a shot on you before things get really ugly.

Yeah this was a good question, probably quite rare also to get very high seeds/favs without any real challengers -- I naturally opted for neither to reach the final, but I was expecting it to be closer than this, both getting out in QFs after rather dominant displays and both to return to their volatile natures on the same day.

Yes, I’d agree the question was still tricky and perhaps very even due to both players not being stable given that it was a low ATP tour, and the caliber of potential opponents, I felt the question would have been to win the trophy if it were the likes Sinner, and Djokovic headlining the respective tournaments.
