Bucks, Celtics game is a complete blowout wowsers  Smiley

a game that ended with a difference of more than 41 points, the last quarter the starters no longer played for that reason, so Brown was second in the points table, I beat you on this question, now everything depends on the question of the Manchester U lineup vs Newcatle, casually we have the same lineup, only 1 name makes a difference, which is Sabitzer, I hope he is not a starter    Cheesy

Buwaytress what do you have to say about your team going up against City this weekend? Any hope for Loserpool?

What's the update on Tennis guys?

Duh, 3-1. I normally go 3-0 or 4-0 but you know, we'll let in a goal or two or three, but everyone on the team wants to win this one, and we'll be extremely physical, which City really don't like. Nunez, Salah will bully. Don't think Diaz will play but maybe he surprises me.

55/10. That's got to be the best odds we'll get all season in EPL.

We've never been the favourite against Citeh but Klopp and Reds love being the underdog.

Tennis? Medvedev through, so no surprises yet, everything going to everyone's plan (except Harko and Tsitsi haha).

It's more important questions what could happen to player who missed to answer few rounds of question and becomes inactive in forum?
One round miss can happen to everyone, but I think missing more rounds should be punished somehow, it's not enough just to give someone zero points.
Same thing would happen in real sport competitions.
I know we have that one in the rules Smiley Basically if somebody misses three rounds he is out, we are not counting those late entries when someone misses a question or two in these stats.

Code:
If you fail to participate in more than 3 rounds in a season, you will be removed from your league and will be able to rejoin from the lowest Division next season, if there is space left.
This is decided because we want to make the competition fair to everybody - if you don't play often, some opponents get easy points while others do not.

I would have supported notblox1's idea too, without think about how it affects the league at large, but after reading the last part of your post it makes perfect sense, and I could only further suggest that if someone's opponent didn't participate in a around specific round, given the significance that the points difference (points for - points against) could make in the leaderboard, wouldn't be better to award such user a default win 3 points for the win but 0 for points difference, while their answers would still count towards the weekly freebet and any other brought forward h2h, but they just wouldn't get the points difference, it might seem quite unfair if they for instance get all 10 questions correctly, it will be more unfair to the rest of the players for someone to get 10 unopposed point difference.
That is also in the rules and we had that in MD1. We are awarding that with 3:0. Same as all the leagues in the world and most fair solution for all partities. So you get positive 3 points goal difference if your opponent doesn't show up.

And of course you get 3 points for the win.

For those of you who predicted Liverpool would fail to score, I want to reassure you that it is still possible. Nevertheless, I also want to point out that this weekend will mark the first time this season that Liverpool's full front line will be fully fit and available  Grin

Code:
Diaz, Jota, Firmino, Darwin, Salah.... All fit and available

I'm not sure about the game outcome but Liverpool scoring a goal is POSSIBLE.

Liverpool would probably score this weekend, and that's solely because they're facing Man City, If they were playing a different team, I would have been less bothered. Liverpool midfield is shambles, but they'd not be needing the midfield to catch Man City on the break, because City's defence have been porous and inconsistent, but then City win should be an easy call against Loserpool ✌🏾
I'm not expecting much from either team, so I just want both teams to keep me entertained. I'm tempted to bet on Loserpool to eke out a 2-1 win, though I know my chances are slim but not impossible.

On the bright side, my BTTS prediction is holding up nicely still need one more as I need exactly two for the point, and a bit excited to see how the Bucks-Celtics game will turn out later today.
You need to win and move from bottom of our division asap  Smiley

What happens if a Div 1 team is unable to pay the 2.5mBtc for the upcoming season and a lower league team is willing to pay?
I think they should be relegated to lower division if they don't have enough coins to pay, but 2.5mBTC is such a small amount that it wouldnt be a problem for most people.

Two stupid questions? A quick one

1. What happens if a Div 1 team is unable to pay the 2.5mBtc for the upcoming season and a lower league team is willing to pay?

2. How do you deal with those promoted to Div 1 who have no intention of paying? Because, if my memory serves me well, the most of them only want to take part for free when they signed up.
We did not really discuss it since it never crossed out mind that somebody wouldn't pay. All first league positions are rewarded and you can only gain money in this competition not loose it.

If somebody doesn't want to play Div1 I think we will just promote next team in line. But we will write an official sentence about that in OP after we discuss it internally.

I guess it crossed now!

Is it not too late to amend or add some rules now so that this type of question does not arise again in the future It is still possible that someone in Div1 will decide to leave after this season due to unforeseen circumstances.

We are likely to witness a BTS in today's Lyon vs. Chelsea match; Lyon is playing at home and will be going all out offensively while Chelsea will be looking for an early goal to take a comfortable aggregate lead; however, it makes no difference because both I and the opponent put the same  answer.

Basketball is boring to watch because there are no goal celebrations—just scores and handshakes—and there is no fan noise anywhere. This makes me want to sleep all the time. I'll make an effort to watch some minutes, though.

Next season is new competition, think of it like regular leagues, we have champion, promotion, relegation and rewards. After that nothing carries over. Next season is a clean state.

Just few hours after my previous post here, Tsitsi-pass decided to pass on ATP Miami tournament 😒; Just a question if both opponents picks do not make tennis finals, does the player that advances the most in the tournament gets the advantage in the H2H question?
Nope. We are grading only your answers in final. So you can get from 0 to max 3 points in your H2H duel.

Just to correct my colleague a bit here - the tennis question in this round is not h2h.
We discussed it when we did the questions, he probably forgot about that Grin

Considering that Alcaraz is a big favorite, everybody would have him anyway - which would lead to many draws.
Basically, you can get a point if you get everything correct - otherwise it will be 0 points.

Barca women's went for it all, thankfully they allowed one goal in, otherwise I would be dead on the next question too... now I need today's games to both be BTTS, although it doesn't matter as my opponent also has the same Smiley

Oh and for tennis, Sinner - Medvedev was my pick for the finalists and so far everything looks good, Sinner is on the streak I need him to be because Alcaraz Smiley

I think tennis is the most boring sport in the world for me, it makes me sleep every time Smiley
Yeah, tennis isn't for everyone, especially when some games can be played for 3 hours and more. Can't say that I watch it in detail, but I often turn it on in background to follow what's going on. What really makes me sleep is most of American sports like NBA or NHL. Not sport itself, but all these frequent and extremely long commercial breaks Smiley. And fact that most of their games is palyed when it's night in Europe also doesn't helps.

Just in case someone one day quotes this, I did not say that, you intended to quote notblox1 Wink

Watch Alcaraz Fritz tomorrow, matches are shorter in ATP and more digestible, I do agree GS heavyweight 3-hour slugfests can turn people off (I do think with the Big 3 slowly phasing out, this is what I'll actually miss more and more), even I don't watch full games.

Commercial breaks get me down big time too. Which put me off cricket for years but watching the short format T20 in Australia recently was very helpful.

Need some clarity on a few things that have come up....
  • For us who are in division 3, how are free bet points allocated when you are playing against yourself as certain questions, scores are based on head to head scores?
  • Secondly, as the games progress I think 15 rounds of the competition is going to be unfair for some players as others are likely to play more games than others looking at the number of players in each group.

By using the formula [(n-1) x2] for home and away games, where n represents the number of players in each group, so for divisions 1 and 2 which has 12 players, the number of games to be played is 22 that's for home and away and for 1 legged games this is going to be limited to 11 rounds, and division 3 games to be played is 10 games for 1 leg while home and away means having 20 game weeks. Do we still maintain the 15 game weeks for season 1.?
  • Lastly if its not too much work, is it possible to have an extra column for division 3 to show the free week each player to show how many times one has been free.
  • Btw when getting promoted do we carry over the points we had or points will be reset when going to the next division?
Ok let's try it in order the questions were asked:

Free bets are always alocoted like you are playing against all other players in that division. For free bet purposes only one player will get a point in H2H match. So it doesn't matter if you have opponent or you are free that week.

All leagues have exactly 11 rounds, which means one game against each opponent. Surplus weeks will be used for cup games. You actually have a schedule in one post of mine all the way to the end of league. That also means that all players in Div 3 will be free exactly once when league ends.

Next season is new competition, think of it like regular leagues, we have champion, promotion, relegation and rewards. After that nothing carries over. Next season is a clean state.
