That sucks, sorry you had to miss another round with the hammer never being an easy one especially for the competition enthusiasts.
I really think only one strategy usually helps me to never have missed a round, and while I have an alarm for BSFL, the alarm has never been what reminded me to submit, I might have just been lucky enough to not have been caught up with something super significant very close when I needed to submit. I think you should just try a different routine with submitting your answers, for me I put in some answers at the earliest possible for me, more often than not I’m always free when they question gets in so I usually just fill a couple of answers that doesn’t take a lot of time to decide, once you have a number question already ticked, it becomes rather easier to not procrastinate finishing up whenever the thought of it comes to mind over the next two days before the deadline, it reduces the chances of forgetting, I’d say.
It does sucks for real, feels like my time of the year, I guess an alarm might have helped if I did set one since, I do ignore the telegram bot a large number of times and today most of all, had such work load that got all my attention running over files and documents to have them all augmented, surely I archived that but, lost this eventually. It only dawned on me that, it was Tuesday and I had BSFL, f**k! Had zero intention on a miss and I really can’t help but feel terrible of myself,,, naaahhh, this is so on me!
