The S&B booth at the conference was great. They had some slabbed physicals up for show and also a nice Casascius 10 and 25 btc pieces (redeemed of course Tongue )

We had a collector's dinner where there were 21 of us in attendance and luckily James was able to attend! Cheesy

Many of us got to chat with them and give our own advice/tips on physical cryptos/collecting.

They are gearing up for some good things and it shows.

Here are their 2x pamphlets they had available at the conference:
(unfortunately did not get a picture of the booth, but imaging one of us did)

They are definitely taking our collectibles seriously.

The booth (branding, communication etc) was excellent. Making their involvement quite promising for anyone who may wish to sell.

The competence is clearly there. And for what they aren't familiar with, they reach out to this group to learn more.

It was a pleasure to have dinner with them.

I was fortunate to be in Miami and attend the 2nd annual physical coin collectors pizza dinner.  It was a really great time, good to see old friends again and make some new ones.

The boys from Stacks seem to be doing it right.  They bring a wealth of knowledge from the numismatic world and seem genuinely interested in our obscure hobby.

Love to see it. Some great effort from their side, really well made looking flyers.
Thanks for joining and taking some footage of their "pamphlets", MJ!

Looking forward to someone jumping in here with some photos of their actual booth.

Thanks for sharing the images and info from the conference!

I wish I could've made it to the conference...and as I was talking to HK earlier I would go just to meet people from the forum

   and for nothing else.

Maybe next year once BTC moons to high heavens! Wink

I just wanted to add this link in here to their website with the announcement: https://stacksbowers.com/sbpressreleases/stacks-bowers-galleries-to-attend-bitcoin-2023-conference-in-miami-beach/

Pretty cool they are accepting consignments, anyone here can bring their precious casascius coins or other popular cryptos to be auctioned and make some $$$  Cool also they are bringing some amazing gold coins for showcase. The Stella was only given to members of congress and there are less than 500 ever made. The 1907 St. Gaudens is an amazing piece and the last time that same coin was auctioned it fetched 37k  Shocked

Here was a snip from the link: "Stack’s Bowers Galleries has emerged as the leader in physical cryptocurrency auctions; since their first offering in November 2021 the firm has sold nearly $3 million in this category. At the 2023 Conference in Miami, Stack’s Bowers Galleries looks forward to engaging with Bitcoin enthusiasts about the firm’s physical crypto auctions and introducing this community to more traditional numismatics, including rare coins and paper money.

Representing Stack’s Bowers Galleries in Miami will be James McCartney, Director of Consignments and Physical Cryptocurrency, and Wayne Berkley, Vice President of Client Services. Conference attendees will be able preview auction highlights at the firm’s kiosk and register to bid in upcoming auctions, including their June 2023 Showcase Auction. The June sale will be highlighted by important Bitcoin rarities including a silver 2013 Casascius “Gold Rim” 1 Bitcoin and a silver 2013 Lealana “Gold B” 1 Bitcoin, both graded Proof-69 Deep Cameo by PCGS. The June auction also features significant rarities among traditional numismatics including a legendary 1879 Four-Dollar Gold Stella graded Proof-61 by PCGS and a captivating (1907) Saint-Gaudens High Relief Double Eagle graded MS-65 by PCGS.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries will be accepting pre-approved auction consignments at the conference, including collections of physical cryptocurrency and traditional rare coins. To arrange a meeting with Stack’s Bowers Galleries at the Bitcoin 2023 Conference or for general questions about the firm’s physical cryptocurrency auctions, email [email protected] or call (800) 566-2580."
