Thats the point of a signature, that there is no guessing what the message was. We need 3 pieces of information from you to verify a signed message

#1 the address you used
#2 the exact message (including all spaces) as it was in the box when you signed it
#3 the signature.

Maybe this -> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-to-sign-a-message-990345

can help you.

I have a HD wallet and i tend to switch wallet when one bother me and just delete everything and start over. So i wouldn't put too much weight on it but here, i think i did it alright;

1766pywN2KivpYheGwnZzHB8nwBmH4eVWJ
The wallet give this output;
H8st2EALqDnuJFeAD6zMh3kOgryBP2LhP8V5AI1uEAL0HcSnvyQUFnoHw6AiJFCt6ge8WW2CS5HAY4P UtBQ184A=

Is that right?

Personally i'd rather identify over my 10+years old internet gaming avatar;
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197975699038/
^That is linked to my cellphone, and it has 2FA, with my personal information i can retrieve it no matter what, i'm online that chat whenever i'm home, etc. Its unlikely for me to not notice if it get hijacked for very long.

And i also have Keybase. https://keybase.io/virosa

I don't see the message? the address yes, the signature yes, but which one is the message?

As you have keybase you can sign a PGP message, that would be ok too.

Hmm IIFTaez8TVMNvfmpT+GCUwh0C6EuhUG9lcuJfXknDpJmJLKO287CEkzu8dzNRUdQDHsCF2Wr9yZuvROOlBGKvvs= would be I am VirosaGITS i guess. Honestly not sure how it works. And how do people verify a Keybase signature that i decrypt with me as the receiver? Actually i just have no idea how you do it. Tongue

I know that, and I tested it with space and without both are invalid
maybe blockchain.info trims spaces from the message before verifing it

Nice find, assuming you have a proper blockchain.info account you actualy use, could you contact them and report the bug? It should be relativly easy to fix.
Great idea, I will

Edit #1 : I edited "Blockchain" TO "Blockchain.info"

There is a space at the end of the message, make sure you copy that as well. If you miss it the verification will fail.

maybe blockchain.info trims spaces from the message before verifing it
